Standing on two posts, it has two doors. The inside has two shelves that were quite full of books on the upper shelf and the lower shelf seemed to be pamphlets of religious material. Most of the books looked to be religious and for this location, completely understandable. This library is not listed in the Little Free Library system. Probably not something you want to do during school hours. This is charter number 96359 and the steward is the school itself. "Our library is being added to enhance our front American flag garden area. We are excited to add this library to our campus to encourage students to read and share their love of reading with the community, fellow students, their families and siblings." The single door is secured with an eye hook. Inside, two shelves that were mostly childrens books. Because we had driven here in my friend's car, I did not have my own box of books I am distributing. This lovely Little Free Library stands on the portico of the former Butts County Courthouse which…read moreis today the Butts County Visitor's Center. It is easy to spot and in excellent condition. The library is maroon with white trim. It looks to have been refreshed since its installation a decade ago. A single door with a black handle is secured by a simple twist catch. the window has the seal of Rotary International on it. Inside, a single shelf of books. A hardcover and a few paperbacks, some are former library books. Mysteries, fiction, some children's books. A really good variety of reading. This is charter number 22229 and the online caption reads, "This library is part of a group of libraries sponsored by the Jackson-Butts County Rotary Club. Built by carpentry shop students at Jackson High School, it was the first Little Free Library in Butts County and was dedicated on March 31, 2015.
