My gf lived in Alabama so it was either Tulane, 4 hours in one direction, or Emory, 2 hours in the other. We toured the campus, we met teachers and students alike, I really loved it. They even offered me a scholarship. But the amount of money that it would have cost to go here was nothing short of extortion. I can't believe it still, and prices have gone way up since then. The other issue with this campus is traffic. All of the roads around the campus, especially at rush hour, become gridlock. It's quite annoying.

Last night was no different, is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking garages within walking distance. Robert W. Woodruff Library is the main library of Emory University. The Woodruff Library Building also hosts the Goizueta Business Library, Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library, Marian K. Heilbrun Music & Media Library, the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship, and the Matheson Reading Room. The main entrance is on the second floor, and has study areas on the first through third floors. Besides the main building, there is a tower of 10 floors serving as a storage of books. The Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL) is on the tenth floor of the tower. I was here for an event hosted by the MARBL, it houses a diverse body of primary sources associated with the African American experience, from literature and history to politics and popular culture. Anyone can visit the collection and not just students so that's a neat fact.

We heard he was involved in some kind of altercation that required for him to go to the hospital. My nephew mom and I called the jail to figure out what was going because we hadn't heard from my nephew all day. That night we spoke with the Watch Commander Captain Wells, she couldn't share much info but she said he was ok. Captain Wells was short with the convo. but she was professional and informational. I came to the jail the next day in person to speak to someone about the condition of my nephew. Upon arrival I was greeted and about 5 officers immediately tried getting me some assistance. There was a older white guy and the Watch Commander Captain Holiday, answered all my concerns about my nephew. They may have been feeding me some BS about his wellbeing, but they were so nice I had no choice but to believe them. The jail condition and the inmates safety are horrible, but the front desk and the entry of the jail customer service is A+.

I came in on a Friday and left Saturday evening but it was long enough to fall in love. Everyone I encountered was friendly. The weather was amazing. Downtown was absolutely charming. They shut down main street for the farmers market and that is worth checking out. Our shuttle driver reassured us that walking around at night was safe and gave us a little tour of the area before dropping us off at the hotel. Going to see the suspension bridge is beautiful and just at the end of main street. I happened into some of the shops and even the bank, and everywhere I went I met nice people and a welcoming attitude. I hope to come here again.

The downtown area…read moreis charming and has a nice line up of delicious restaurants, bars and eclectic mix of shopping that caters to the locals, tourists and students from three colleges. Outside of downtown it is all about historical sites, hiking and water activities on Lake Sinclair. The locals are close knit, welcoming and friendly. Milledgeville has most of the chain restaurants and stores, a mall, AMC Theatre, Kroger and a Publix that is in the process of opening.
