One of the best parks we have been to lately!! I did a quick search on Yelp for "splash pads near…read moreme" and this park popped up and as soon as I saw some of the photos of the splash pad area I knew we had to check it out! It's gotta be one of the largest splash pads in the area, and my daughter had the time of her life. I love that there is seating for the parents/guardians with built in bench seating and covered under the shade!! Perfect spot to also put your belongings as you have some fun with your littles. This park is endless with multiple playgrounds and tons of sports fields as well. I feel we barely scratched the surface of what's offered here at EE Robinson Park. Will 100% be back very soon for more splash pad and playground fun!
The Dunwoody Nature Center is such a peaceful spot. It offers plenty of options -- from walking the…read moretrails to enjoying the picnic areas and playground. It really feels like its own little oasis, perfect for getting your steps in or just taking a moment to unwind. There's also an event center on the property, which makes this a great location if you're planning an indoor/outdoor event with a natural backdrop. Parking is limited, so depending on the time of your visit, you may want to plan ahead. Overall, a beautiful and relaxing escape right in the area.

It was very serene and kept my kiddos occupied for an hour. They have friendly people who work there. Friendly faces met us as we walked the trails.

The layout is fun and the park itself is beautiful, especially in the winter when the leaves are thin and you can actually see the baskets through the trees. That said, the course could really benefit from clearer signage. Several pads weren't well marked, and we even had to skip a hole because we couldn't figure out where it started or ended. Since we only had time to play about half the course, we found ourselves spending more minutes navigating than throwing. I can't imagine how tough it must be in the summer when everything is fully leafed out -- it's probably like searching for a needle in a haystack. Still, it's a solid course in a great park, and with better markings it could easily be a five‑star experience.

I had no idea this was an annual thing and am happy that the city of Dunwoody does this and am definitely looking forward to next year's lights. While there were a ton of people, there was plenty of parking and I appreciated that there was an officer there to keep the flow of cars moving along. The park itself had several playgrounds and I loved they were padded. The kids had a blast on slides, swings and running around in the wide open space. The bathrooms were clean which always makes things even better. The kids had a blast playing with all the other kids and this is definitely a playground I'd come back to visit.

They have mostly kids books usually but you can find adult reading also. ***Please remember to always close the door so the books don't get wet if it rains. Nobody wants a moldy book!*** This is also a great place to leave those books you have already read and no longer want to keep. Magazines are welcome also. There is also a decent kids playground in the middle of the shopping center with park benches and a stage area. It's to the left of the Little Library (if you are in front facing it).

The gardens are in beautiful, stone, raised beds and are rented yearly by community members. Community members tend to their own gardens, as well as the common spaces throughout the year. A number of events are held in the garden for the community, including cooking demonstrations (using the garden's cleaning station, grill, and green egg), gardening lessons, and celebrations. The garden includes a children's garden, where kids can enjoy digging in the dirt, too. This is a beautiful spot for frequent visits, as the gardens frequently change throughout the year.

The library is easy to spot with this color against the shrubs and the brick building. The single door is secured with a catch. Inside, two shelves of books that were unorganized. The library needs some more inventory and I did not have anything with me. Nearly all children's books. It does not appear on the Little Free Library database or map. There are two other libraries in Winder that are on there. Other than the abbreviation ESNG and a "Lending Library," there are no other markings on there. The kids loved venturing out into all of the different areas and playing. It kept them busy the whole time. Truly interactive and enjoyable. We have a 6 month old baby and she crawled around in their small play space for the smaller babies. I will say it did say to remove shoes but lots of bigger kids were just running wild through this space with their shoes on and it was a bit much so we didn't stay playing in there long for fear our little would get trampled. Nice to have an area for babies in theory, but without someone running the area it's just not being respected which again is more on the parents supervision (or lack there of). Overall a good experience and we could come back.

The Fulton library has…read morea free pass you can check out for up to 4 people which is great but it is otherwise affordable. I would budget at least 2 hours here or as many as 3 if your kids are going to interact with the butterflies and the turtles and do the scavenger hunt as mine did. The indoor exhibit is small but charming and there are a few native species around. The downstairs education center also does a scavenger hunt every month which is really cool. They've done an amazing job of "gamifying" nature/science learning with their points based rewards system and natural objects exchange. We learned a lot about butterflies and caterpillars on our quest. The points thing goes a long way to motivating little ones that may be more skeptical about "learning" experiences and museums. But if you have kids who are more active and will walk, the variety of local trails contained within the nature center is quite nice. I would recommend coming here for adults without kids too for this reason. I heard there were little fairy houses somewhere too here but. I didn't see them. We saw the beaver, a variety of different birds including hawks and owls, and tons of other local animals. It was cool to see how intentional the design was of the outdoor sections and the map they give you at the gift shop/ticket counter is helpful. I also like how they have lots of play areas built in outside for kids to explore in a less structured way. They also have some nice picnic spots. Staff were friendly and helpful. "Feeding" (with the little sugar sticks) the butterflies was fantastic. Even on a hot summer day, I'm super glad we came and if it wasn't so far from where I lived I would attend more regularly/become a member.

The beavers are a favorite in our house!
