He's very outgoing and friendly which helped our other dog get out of his comfort zone. He's a very strong pup and was always healthy according to the vet. Originally we thought he would be long-haired but he ended up being a silky wire-hair, which was even more special to us since silky wire-hairs are a bit of a unicorn. My last Black…read moreLabrador was truly special, and we had to put him down on August 21st the day of the eclipse. I began looking for a new pup in the fall of 2018. The new pup had big paws to fill, so I went straight to the best: SunnyView Labradors. If you look at the AKC breeding and lineage of other breeder's labradors throughout the state of Oregon, you will see many Sunnyview dogs in their bloodlines. My old dog even had some of their lineage. Some breeders have made a business off of breeding Dick's dogs. I had to have the best. I was put on a waiting list, and assured a pup from a litter from a Master Hunter. I paid a premium for it, but knew i was purchasing an elite lab. Dick kept in contact with me all throughout the process from the dam going in heat, to artificial insemination, to birth. We just picked up our boy and he is absolutely gorgeous. I've seen some negative reviews, and it's hard for me to understand, because my experience was wonderful. I can say that my pup came from a small litter (5). If one was on a waiting list, and there were less pups than expected, perhaps someone might have to wait for the next litter to be born. So be it. Well worth the wait if you want one of the best bred labradors in the world. Thank You Dick!

I sent the deposit . Over a year later I called and was told they still had no yellow pup available for me. I requested a refund and was told they did not give refunds so I said I still wanted the pup. I was ill for a while and did not hound them. They did not return any calls or offer a dog. Brutus one of the studs was eager to play with our toddler and was extremely gentle even given our rough daughter and his impressive size. They are careful who they select and they interview you for a reason. They love their dogs. I reached out to Sally in 2020 after losing our Yorkie Rikey..I placed a $500.00 deposit with her for a puppy, but ultimately decided to adopt another Yorkie. Sally actually offered and gave the non-refundable deposit back, when she did not have to. Ultimately it was a huge mistake going with the Yorkie and other breeder, she sent us home with a puppy with giardia and a very unhealthy dog that had to have surgery and then became vicous with us because of something wrong with his brain. The breeder offer us no support or help. Ultimately we had to have him put down. Heartbreaking. I called Sally backand got on her list and we brought home our precious Lillian Grace in Feb 2022. She has beeneverything Sally promised and more! Sally's home is clean and she provides excellent care and communication from conception. You get pics of x-ray with your baby and pics of birth, videos amd pics every week until you pick your baby up. She is the best breeder we have ever worked with. You can call her anytime you need advice or have questions. We are already on the waitlist to bring another baby home!
