I typically do not order burgers but it was that kind of day and I would definitely order again. Darn if I didn't take pictures of my meal.

10/10 - A Hidden Gem in Newport!…read more If you're anywhere near Newport, TN, do yourself a favor and stop by Portofino! Our crazy group of 10 ordered just about everything: calzones, manicotti, baked ziti, chicken Parmesan, fettuccine, pesto chicken pasta, an Italian sub, chicken marsala, and spaghetti & meatballs--and every single dish was outstanding. There wasn't a bad bite on the table! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was exceptional, and the hospitality made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. Everything was cooked perfectly, served hot, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our large group had a fantastic experience. It's not often that 10 people all leave completely happy, but Portofino nailed it. We can't recommend this place enough. When we got home, we found long black hairs baked into the crusts of both pizzas. Unsurprisingly, the same woman demanding tips had long black hair. Totally disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. Sure, the breadsticks and wings were fine but last I checked, it's not called Breadstick Hut or Wing Hut. It's Pizza Hut, and the pizza should at least be edible. This isn't our first issue with this location either. We submitted a complaint before and never heard a word back, so I seriously doubt this one will be taken seriously either. Newport Pizza Hut has officially ruined their last chance with us. Between the filthy food and the rude, entitled staff, we're done and I suggest everyone else avoid this place too.

The omelet was chock full of bacon. The cheese was a little sparse. Overall, it was a good omelet. The biscuit was a true cathead and I ate it in two halves. The browns were not prepared where they stick together. I am a fan of the way Waffle House does hash browns. I tried a piece of their strawberry cake after my hike. The cake was clumpy like it had been frozen and defrosted. Coffee and service was excellent. This is definitely a go to for breakfast. Just get grits or home fries instead of hash browns.
