We started with the garlic rolls and a side salad (that came with the pasta) and both were very good. Garlic rolls were fresh and full of flavor without being too oily. Food wise, we ordered cheese ravioli and the gnocchi with grilled chicken, both in vodka sauce. We also ordered a large cheese pie, Joeys way, without the sausage. The ravioli and gnocchi came out HOT! You can tell these were freshly made and cooked to order and they were devoured quickly. The pizza to me, was the star of the show. It reminded me of tavern style chicago thin crust pizza. Paper thin, cut into squares and the perfect balance of sauce and cheese. Between me and my son, we ate the whole pizza! If we end up back in Marco island, Joeys will definitely be on the list to return to!

Although they don't deliver, you can get Door Dash or some other delivery service unless you want to eat in or pick it up yourself. I personally don't like Door Dash because they leave the delivery outside on the ground where fire ants and other creatures can get into your food. No ringing of the doorbell, no knock on the door. They literally just leavevit outside. Guess that's why their name has Dash in it! You'll never know when your food has arrived. The Chef at Joey's has many years of experience and he makes an incredible crust, delicious sauce; he will not disappoint you. They have different sizes, we get the large for two people because that is how delicious this pizza is. They also offer Italian dinners. The garlic rolls and canolis are mouth watering. There were several people working but one guy was the host, the bar tender, waiter and runner. He was pretty efficient but I'm not gonna lie, I watched him wipe his face several times without washing his hands. That sort of did it for me. Jinny's sandwich came out way before mine which wasn't a big deal as I know it typically takes awhile for a heavy pizza to bake. Not sure when I will learn, do not order deep dish pizza from a place that doesn't specialize in it. Just because you line a pan with crust does not mean it's deep dish. All entrées come with a house salad or you can do an upgrade to a Caesar. I chose the house salad that comes with balsamic vinaigrette. Very well put together, light and refreshing. The Cernia Alla Pescatore was very flavorful and everything was cook to perfection. Anyone who has tried to seat a party of 45 anywhere knows what a miracle that is. The hospitality here is the real deal. This is a true mom-and-pop family-owned Italian restaurant, and they treated all 45 of us like we were their own relatives. We had a server and her trainee come over to take our drink orders. I got one of their house beers and the rest of the party got sodas/waters. After scanning the menu we had our orders in mind, but our servers were nowhere in sight. After about 10-15 minutes, they came back with the drinks and took our orders. We werent super hungry, so we ordered an app and a couple dishes. The large soft pretzel with cheese sauce, their cuban sandwich and some pasta for the kids. The food took another 20+ minutes to come out but lets run down the list. Lets start with the app, the pretzel. Came out and it was stale. It was luke warm, undersalted and the cheese sauce tasted like watered down cheese from a can. As a BIG fan of pretzels, this one was a big letdown. Entree wise, the pasta and the cuban, also let downs. The pasta was stiff. Not Al Dente, stiff as in undercooked and oversauced. The Cuban sandwich looked good coming out, but after ONE bite I knew it wasnt going to be good. I dont want to say the meat was bad or sour, but after three attempts, I was done and didnt want any more. There was another large gap in server visits to ask if we needed another beer or any refills so I made every effort to flag down our waitresses so we could get the check and get out of there. Needless to say, as far a brewery goes, I wouldnt go back to Marco Island brewery.
