We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, a small meatball pizza, and a salad. The pizzas were so good but the salad was kind of odd. It was broccoli, carrots, peppers, onions, and a little bit of lettuce. I think they had run out of ingredients (we were asked if a "garden" salad was ok, and sure why not? But it was more of a mixture of veggies, sorry I didn't snap a pic). Stick with the pizza and you're golden! We cannot wait to return.

I am on their email list (and yes I read most of my emails that are of interest to me) and noted they had an Oktoberfest kick off party happening this week on Thursday evening from 6pm -9pm in their outside patio, so decided to come here. We showed up at 6pm on the dot and the place outside was already packed with people. They were having a live Oktoberfest trio band play, so that was cool! A lot of people were in their Oktoberfest garb/outfits, which was adorable. The challenge was getting a beer and a non alcoholic drink for my mom. They had nothing NA for her and she ended up just having a glass of ice water. I got in the mobbed line and had a Kellerbier, which was brewed especially for Franklin's and Oktoberfest. They had an issue with their handheld payment device so that made the line longer. Beer was fine, but wished I could have gotten my mom a lemonade or iced tea. The other issue was the seating. We opted to sit over in the sandbox/kids area and the picnic tables didnt feel like the best use of space. The trio band was lovely and played some nice tunes including Edelweiss which is one of my favorite songs ever (yes I loved The Sound of Music and have watched this so many times as a kid with my mom) but it would have been nice to see the band more in the center of things, closer to the bar hut. They were serving up German sausages and huge pretzels but the line for beverages and food was so long that I didnt bother to purchase food. This was a great idea and I hope that the next one they do, they can iron out some of the wonky kinks. I'd come back again for an Oktoberfest for sure. My mom and I had a great time!

I called ahead, my order was ready on time. The restaurant staff was friendly. They have a few tables, but definitely more of a carry-out place. Solid value for money considering the area. The pizza was ~$19, and the gyro was $7.50 - not bad for ~4 meals worth of food! Flavor was fine, nothing amazing but serviceable given the price point. Pizza crust had a slightly off smell. This would normally be a 3-4 star review. Unfortunately, the box had a dead cockroach on the bottom, and when i removed the last two slices and broke down the box I found THREE MORE dead cockroaches in the folds of the box. I understand that wild animals are not entirely under the control of the business, but I feel that if you have a cockroach problem you should inspect food containers before you fill them and give them to customers. Thankfully these roaches were dead, but they might very well be shipping infestations right into peoples' houses! I don't think I'll return unless I see the health inspector sign off on the place.

Update. Not sure if…read morethis is a first review or not however; this has arguably the best bbq in the DMV. On this visit I went for lunch and I discovered the format for entering was more structured. The staff members created a system of restricted entry to prevent overcrowding and to allow more space for guests to dine in. I got the two different sandwiches and a slice of the key lime pie. The first sandwich was the pulled pork which is pictured below. Super tender and juicy with a mild seasoning and gentle smoke flavor. I do believe the long hold times until served loses some of the more potent smoke flavor but a very good sandwich. The other was the brisket sandwich with I think is the bargain option imo compared to ordering slices. The brisket was cooked to perfection, has good balance of flavors and texture. The brisket sandwich is roughly 1.5/2 full slices of brisket and I believe the 1/4 pound is roughly 3 full slices all dependent on the butcher cutting the slices. Neither sandwich needed any sauce to help it out. The key lime pie wasn't my favorite selection on this visit. I'm not sure if it's a house made recipe or outsourced. This slice flavor lacked the tartness from the lime and the custard had strands of coconut or something which was off putting from the texture. Some lime zest as a garnish on the top would work better here than integrated. Dear customer: Pricing here is a little high but please understand it's very difficult for bbq to make a profit margin after factoring the operational costs. Bbq is a labor intensive process to ensure you have a consistent and enjoyable product. Things to consider the parking is limited if the adjacent lot is full. You make have to park in the residential area and walk down. If possible pre-order your meal to save on the wait time. Dear 2Fifty: What would be awesome for the customers is adding a QR code for the menu for the outside guest. While in line several people had to wait to get a portable menu or until they entered the building to start their selection process. Many of which made comments about wanting to see a menu while they waited. Overall, this visit was a 4.3 out of 5.
