I am not sure if it has something to do with the fact they are partnered with Bootlegger at this location but I must say in terms of color I really wasn't finding as much here. That's not to say that the pieces don't share a similar quality but in winter how much black,grey,and white does one really want to look at let alone spend the money to add to their closet? The customer service here was a bit spotty. Nobody approached me to greet me or tell me about the sale they had going on but once I did make it up to the cash desk the young man who greeted me there was friendly and took the time to make sure all the discounted pieces I had picked up were ringing in correctly before giving me the final total. I would probably be giving a higher rating had the two other sales girls working that day been backing up the young man at the cash desk by giving good service out on the floor as opposed to chatting. So there you have it. Do I think this Ricki's measures up to the other locations I have shopped at prior? No....but they still offer lot's of great work wear at reasonable prices. I just think they are missing alot of the color and flare here that attracts the mid twenties to early thirties ladies that I see at the other locations. Also like I mentioned prior I didn't get the strong customer service that im used to getting other places like at the WEM store. On a more positive note though I won't end this review without mentioning that the inclusion of Bootlegger here means that men can stop in to shop which you won't get at the stores that are solely classified as Ricki's locations. If your in Londonderry it's worth a look but certainly not worth making a special trip for.

I went to this store as it's close to home and they were having a sale, buy one get one 50% off. I…read morethought great! I need new clothes. It was all fine until I went to the check out. The way it should have been rung up was not how it was done. As a customer, I expect that if I pick out 4 pieces of clothing, two higher price ones and two lower price ones, the higher priced ones will go together for the deal, and the lower priced ones would go together. Not at Ricki's apparently. They just want your money. They tried to get me to pay for both more expensive articles and get my $5-$10 shirts for free. After much hassle I ended up doing two transactions to get it to work out. Any other store this would not have been an issue (it would have been done correctly first). Even better yet? The more expensive pieces I got are already having problems. I purchased them in January. Part of the problem is from our cat, but I've never seen anything like this happen to my clothing before (horizontal line on a knit sweater, cat's claws didn't go hoirzontal). I used to love Ricki's, but this experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

As soon as we did, we were greeted by the owner herself whose name is Anna. She let us quietly browse store's selection. I looked through several racks of the cutest jackets, dresses, pants and tops. What Sanriela lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. All clothes are made in France, and they are fabulous! I bet that any little person who gets dressed at Sanriela is very popular on the playground: ) The following brands are sold at Sanriela: 3 Pommes, Catimini, Floriane, IKKS and Jean Bourget. The clothes are nicely tailored, made from good materials and overall look very fun yet presentable. I located grey wool dress that looked like little version of Chanel dress I once saw in an online couture boutique. How precious is that? All fashion forward parents should be in the know about Sanriela. This store is where trendy children come from: )

I love their new location on St. Albert Trail next to BP's. (I think it's been almost 3 years here?) They've got it all, from the softest leggings on the planet to the best jeans for every body type! I love that Sweet Boutique has something to help every woman feel her best. They have a wide selection of sizes, from XSmall to 3X. I'm about a size 24/3X and some of their 3X items are almost too big on me, which always makes me smile. The staff treats me with the same respect they give small to average size women, which in my experience doesn't happen often in a plus/regular mix size store. Along with clothing, they have accessories, fun items like socks and sweets, and a wall of personal care items like bath bombs, body cream, hand sanitizer, and aromatherapy. The owner, Laura, is an amazing member of the community who supports other small businesses and brought joy to my family at a rough time when we were missing a loved one. She wasn't asked, she just offered and we will always be thankful to her for her act of kindness.

The price range is extensive - you can find regular priced dresses for $50 but they also sell some luxury designer items for $1000+. Truly something for everyone. If you're looking for a deal, I recommend keeping an eye on their social media and looking out for their blowout sales.

The shop was beautiful and while the clothing was definitely out of my price range there were many gorgeous and affordable accessories ranging from handmade jewellery to bath products. There were even some super cute reusable bibs for wee ones (I'm a mom so I tend to gravitate to these things). Maggie Walt was super friendly and easy to talk to! She has a beautiful shop full of unique and one of a kind pieces of art - I would definitely refer to her clothing as works of art. The fabrics were amazing and come to find out, she travels the world in search of the perfect pieces. Maggie Walt is a wonderful addition to the Edmonton fashion landscape and I hope she enjoys a long and lucrative career here! There is casual to formal wear, but most of it leans more towards the formal end, with all the colors and materials she uses. Lots of taffeta and tulle for extra sheen and poof! She also sells originally designed jewelry, beautiful pieces with big stones in them. I liked the soft and exotic ambiance of the shop too. There was Indian music playing, and the dressing rooms are draped with these big silky orange curtains. It makes me feel like I'm shopping on vacation somewhere in South Asia! The staff are very courteous and helpful. While I was browsing, another customer came in explaining she had lost one of her earrings on vacation, and could they replace it for her. The saleslady on shift helped her look for another; although they weren't successful, she took the customer's contact down saying they'd call her when they do get another shipment in. It's obvious they care about and appreciate their customers here. Right now they're having their Birthday Sale, where everything is 30-50% until Sunday. A good thing to take advantage of!

I was relatively new to Edmonton so I had to do some research on reputable bridal stores. I visited a couple of bridal stores and was either not impressed with their service or their selection of dresses didn't suit my taste. I didn't find my dress at Novelle until my second or third visit but after I couldn't stop thinking about it I realized it was the one. I worked primarily with Diana throughout my experience at Novelle and she was nothing but lovely. She was warm, kind and patient, and did a wonderful job with narrowing down dresses and offering helpful opinions on flattering styles. Novelle may not have the biggest dress inventory compared to other stores in Edmonton, but the quality and selection of styles are absolutely beautiful and you can tell careful thought was put into each one that was purchased for the store. They carry brands including Watters Wtoo (my dress designer), San Patrick, Theia, Allure, Paloma Blanca, Nicole Miller, and Tara Keely. I was also initially drawn to visiting Novelle during my initial search for a dress because they were the only bridal retailer (that I was aware of at the time) that carried Ivy and Aster. I ordered my dress in January and it arrived before the end of May, a few weeks before the estimated arrival. Bonus! I also ended up doing my alterations with them with their in-house seamstress Melody. Doing your dress alterations with Novelle is completely optional, but as I didn't have to get too much done to my dress it was more convenient for me to stick with them. Their prices were comparable to other seamstresses I received quotes from, but I would still recommend getting quotes from outside sources to compare prices. My dress was primarily lace and I was anxious about alterations, but Melody did a fantastic job. Between picking up my dress and getting my first round of alterations done, Novelle moved up the street to a bigger location. The store is beautiful! I almost wish I had my dress shopping experience there. Their new space is a definite upgrade in terms of room for more inventory, fitting rooms, and natural lighting. They also have a beautiful veil and jewellery collection, as well as many chic bridesmaid dresses to choose from. My entire experience with Novelle was wonderful and I couldn't be more happy with them.

I didn't pay much attention to the bras but I did see they carried some but not as big a selection as other lingerie shops in the mall. I went to pay for my purchase and the sales associate wrapped it up in tissue before putting in the bag. The store wasn't busy on a weekday evening and it's a smaller than their previous location so it could get crowded if there were more shoppers. I was happier with the prices and service and would go back to browse.
