Immaculate food. That paired with German beer is hard to beat. Nicest staff and a cool little hole-in-the wall restaurant. Cook KNOWS what he is doing, and waitress is always checking in on our table. Everyone is so nice and generous. read more

Little Bavarian Restaurant - Beer: Dunkel - German Near Me - El Paso, Texas

We came in on a Sunday and ordered the schnitzel special recommended by our server. He never mentioned that it was an all-you-can-eat buffet or that leftovers couldn't be taken home. After eating just one plate, we asked for a to-go box and were denied due to a "buffet policy" that was never disclosed to us. At $26 a plate, throwing away good food because of their failure to communicate is terrible business practice. Very disappointing experience. read more

I would not recommend this place. The Chicken Schnitzel tasted like it was frozen and re- heated not handmade. The Bretzel Appetizer was a $2 up charge for cheese and was a pretty small pretzel. It was also pretty dirty. The waiter was nice but beyond that I'm very disappointed. read more

Perhaps a bit pricey for the area, but a very authentic and delicious experience. The decor is lovely, and whether you're looking for El Paso twists or traditional Bavarian cuisine, the menu has it all. The cherry strudel with ice cream was a perfect way to end the meal as well. The only thing I didn't care much for was the potato dumpling, it's pretty plain, but everything else was perfect. read more

Little Bavarian Restaurant - #16 - German Near Me - El Paso, Texas

I had amazing service with a very attentive waitress who was extremely friendly. I ordered the Jäger Schnitzel and it was decent. The sauce was odd and had a very gelatinous texture that I'm not used to after having my fair share of German food. The flavor was excellent and the Schnitzel was perfectly fried and seasoned. Overall good enough to scratch that German itch. read more

We needed a German food fix and lunch ok! Little Bavarian Restaurant to the rescue! The Stammtisch had lovely local ladies enjoying lunch, and they were speaking German with the chef. I had a Wiener schnitzel that was good, but the breading wasn't as tasty as in Germany. My dad had the goulash soup, and he should have had the dinner, which is more stew and served over spaetzle. He had the rhamschnitzel and said it was very good. And for the win, my mom had cordon bleu. Hers was the best, and I'm not a Swiss cheese fan, but it was so yummy! Great service, delicious food, fun atmosphere. We will definitely be back! read more

A is for effort. I appreciated the decor. Service was good. Potato pancakes were good. Goulash tasted like tomato soup with some added meat and veggies. The egg noodles in it were good though. A German place in a little town? You should go and try! read more

Absolutely love this place amazing food. Service was phenomenal and personalized, and there was an abundance of other things that you could get bread, cake, jams, to just name a few. Would highly recommend at the very least trying it out especially if you enjoy German food! read more

The Black Forest cake was delicious. Never had that good outside of Germany or Austria.

Have you been to Bavaria? To Munich? This restaurant is really a little piece of Bavaria right in El Paso. This is as authentic as it gets with die Deutsche Gemutlichkeit (coziness) well represented. The services was slow but the German food was authentic and delicious. We had 3 handmade potatoes pancakes, some classic Vienna breaded Snitzel and some curry wurst with French fries. Overall a very close experience to a Bavarian Beer local! read more

Delicious Sunday dinner for 4 adults and 1 child. The atmosphere was like eating dinner with my family and friends. Tasty German food and we will be back again. If you're looking for authentic German food, make Little Bavarian your first stop. read more

This place brought me right back to Grafenwöhr. The service, food, and beer were excellent! I had the jeager schnitzel and the wife had the cordon bleu. All delicious and substantive. I particularly enjoyed the cucumber salad and the large stein of dunkel weizen (dark beer). Additionally, the apfel strudel a la mode and the german chocolate cake were stellar. So if you have an authentic German meal fix, this place is the place to be. Absolutely ninja worthy! Yelp on my peeps, Yelp on! read more

The friendly staff, Bavarian ambiance, tasty food, and beer selection make this place one of my favourite restaurants in El Paso. I like the schnitzel with a dark beer. Their cucumber salad is refreshing. The kasespetzle is particularly good. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I definitely would!!! I have eaten here in the past and it was decent, coming from someone who is German... But recently I did an Uber eats and was shocked at the quality they had the nerve to make and at that sell!!! I ordered the Hunter Schnitzel you know with mushroom gravy. Well for the price it should be a great meal but instead I got something that was not eatable. First pic is what they advertised and the second is what they call gravy looked like gelatin, and tasted like pure salt.. from what I hear the German owner no longer cooks the food someone else does it now and it's purely disgusting!!! I asked for a refund but it has yet to happen.. not to mention the breading on the pork had a sweet aftertaste, gross!! I definitely DO NOT recommend this place anymore!!! First picture is what the meal should have looked like second picture is what the gravy look like ! read more

This is a Hidden gem in El Paso. The atmosphere is fun and full of items from Germany, and set up to make customers comfortable. Their food is outstanding! I had curry worst, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. To follow up I had black forest cake. Everything was excellent! The server was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. Saw this place when we stopped by for Korean food ¨next door¨. Been meaning to come and try it out. Unfortunately, it wasn´t very good. We got the Jaegerschnitzel which was rather bland. The sauce was bland. The spatzle was bland. The potato salad was ok. The red cabbage was just not good. It tasted like it had cinnamon in it. I was expecting cabbage made with vinegar and brown sugar, and instead got this overly blanched cinnamon cabbage. It was really gross. Two orders of Jaegerschitzel and two sides took us over $50. Easily the worst food we´ve had in some time, AND the most expensive. Never going back. Don´t see how this place could stay open. Twice we´ve been by at lunch time and no one there. No one there during lunch time when we ate there. I´d give them a 2 for the food, 1 for the price. Price was so outrageous, price wins for the ¨1¨. read more

This place had the most legit German food in town. If you've never had german food, come here and get a #1. Breaded Schnitzel with lemon wedges. Great flavor, tender, crispy... 3.5 Exceptionally friendly staff serves up competent german favorites. There is beer. There is cake. Your correspondent had a schnitzel. Had a cucumber salad. Had some red cabbage. Was it good? Yes. Was it exceptional? No. Truth time: none of the food really was in any way extraordinary. Still, This would be a cool place to hang out. I'm through looking for exceptional food choices in this town. Good enough with a good heart wins the day. read more

What a find! Authentic German food a few minutes from work so I can scoot out and get a great meal. Strange food that tastes like nothing. It's about as far away from good German food as you can get. Good service, but the food is not worth it. read more

This is a cute lil' restaurant tucked away in the northeast side of town. It's easy to find and convenient off the freeway. I was surprised by the variety offered from the menu, printed in German and English. The interior sets the tone well and our server was very pleasant. They offer German beer on tap, beware it's strong and hits pretty quick. Our entrees were delish. Don't forget they offer dessert as well, all made in house. 3 stars because I thought it was pricey compared to other locally owned eateries in northeast El Paso. read more

I don't believe several people have given good reviews for the food here. I ordered the potato pancakes everyone raved about and they looked like a ball of overdone hash browns. True potato pancakes have crispy edges and a soft, flavorful texture. These were hard and greasy and i could not eat it. I also asked for currywurst and German potato salad. I knew what to expect when the microwave timer went off in the kitchen. A reheated bratwurst with curry ketchup on it. Then to add insult to injurt, the spaezle was not fresh byt seemed like out of a can with flavorless brown stuff you could not call gravy poured over it. I left the food and wejt to Taco Cabana down the street that was very good. read more

THEY HAVE RADLERS!!!!! Sorry I just had to start off saying something so important. My husband and I decided to check this place out and as soon as we walked in it felt very welcoming. Our waitress was super nice and when I asked for a Radler she knew exactly what it was and they had it. Radlers are one of my favorite things from Germany and I haven't been able to find any place that does them without me telling them how to do it. It was AMAZING! We checked in on their Facebook and we got a small potato salad for free along with a cucumber salad with dressing. They were both very yummy but my husband wasn't a fan of the cucumber salad. He said the dressing was to strong for him. I really enjoyed it. He ordered a Pilsner (ended up with 2) and the cordon blue with Pommes (fries) and he really enjoyed it. The cheese when he cut into it was super melty and was very well done. I ordered the schnitzel with mushroom sauce, spetzel with cheese and a potato dumpling. Everything I had reminded me of the flavors of Germany and really brought back so many good memories. However, they have bigger portions so next time my husband and I will probably split a plate so we can really enjoy the dessert next time. They had German chocolate cake and apple strudel for dessert it we decided on the Apple strudel this time. But I will be back for that German chocolate cake with maybe a cup of coffee cause that's the best way! Overall, it's a new favorite of mine to go to and I can't wait to try more of their menu. read more

Been a while since I've been here. I really thought they were ready to close because both service and food were so bad. Huge turn around which I am very glad for. We had the potato pancakes with apple sauce and sour cream for a starter, Jaeger Schnitzel a dark mushroom gravy with spatzle and a cucumber salad and a Rahmschnitzel with a light mushroom gravy and cucumber salad. The waiter and owner/cook were very nice and checked on us throughout our meal. I miss German food and this was an excellent return to Germany. Go and try them. read more

the website is out of date. drove a long distance for German food and they were closed. not happy as this was the only reason for the trip.

I love schnitzel!!! I could probably eat my weight thru a ton of schnitzel but i think my tight fitting dress uniform doesnt allow me to take in that much lol. I was trying this place for the first time with coworkers who are fluent on German cuisine so they assisted me on this new endeavour for me. There was a schnitzel sampler plate which included plain breaded, one topped with gravy, and one topped with this spicy tomato sauce which i know is the Gypsy sauce. I remember because it intrigued me so about what exactly Gypsy tasted like so i made sure to find out lol. My coworkers also suggested i try the spatzel as a side which they explained was flour pasta. Sounded promisinng as i am a big fan of pasta. My order comes and i was very pleased with the schnitzel and it turned out, not a fan of spatzel. It just had this off taste to it with the gravy and i just couldnt keep it down. I felt bad because i barely dented it and when the waiter came to pick up our plates, he seemed devasted at how much spatzel i wasted and didnt even wanna bring home. Im sorry! I was still very pleased and satisfied! There were these potatoe pancakes with apple sauce that was freaking amazing as well! My coworkers got brats and im sure those were exquisite. I love brats as well but i definitely want more schnitzel and next time, gonna get the red cabbage and potatoe salad! read more

Ordered on Postmates. Currently just moved from Germany from the last four years, so I would like to say I have had my fair share of various German dishes as Schnitzels....I wanted to love this place, the reviews were good! I expect it is exceptional for El Pasions who know no difference but the flavor and texture just wasn't accurate. I had the jagerschnitzel with the potatoes, and a side salad with a Brochen. I was excited to see the option to order the bread but unfortunately despite having paid for it - I did not receive it . The salad and dressing - good. The display of the schnitzel was lovely and looked promising ..the sauce just wasn't it , too flavorless ? Maybe add more mushrooms or broth? Either way, I will crave German food from time to time and I'm willing to give it another go ! Potatoes were lovely ! read more
