Ooh was a wonderful find and I would've done it without Yelp Elite Week. I took my husband and our sons along with me to support and purchase other items and boy were we in for a treat. My food was absolutely amazing and the service was good after a short while once the what looked to be manager got involved. We were first timers so was looking for some engagement and guidance when choosing dishes but the initial cashier when we presented was pretty Blah. Mind you we presented a hour before closing, however that doesn't excuse behavior. The Salmon sandwich made up for that hiccup quick as it was bursting with flavor (Mediterranean). Our smaller son had the Mac n cheese and ate it so quick and wanted more but they were SOLD OUT. My husband had a carnita bowl and our other son had a grilled cheese. We tried the Banana berry smoothie and the Kale Pineapple Everything was good. I suggest trying to visit earlier however they are open brunch hours only & you can tell it's a local favorite so it more than likely they get crowded. The inside has the feel of eating with friends as the vibe is a mix of lunch room and kitchen table at auntie house. A place I'd try again when in the area. read more

PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE! If you want a really good sandwich or great salad at a very reasonable cost AND you are in the area, COME HERE! Your belly and wallet will thank you! It is easy to find, easy to get in and out of, and there is plenty of parking! There is room inside for small parties. There are counters and tables to eat at. Lots of thought provoking signs on the walls. (There's one I want to reread and take a photo of the next time I go.) Lots of wood in use which I feel makes the place more homelike. All was very clean! The staff was very helpful with my order and to the many that had ordered ahead and were picking up. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich and Texas Cobb Salad to go. Food was out quickly and well packed. Sandwich container was hot and the salad container was cold. They lasted the 30 minute drive to work with little temperature change. Flavor and texture of the salad was perfect!. Best Cobb salad I've had in a while. The Cuban sandwich was the best I've had! The flavors, tang, saltiness and fresh tasting roll. This will be a repeat location. Price was great for such an excellent experience. I suspect the competition for dukedom will be tight race on this place! read more

Lito's Kitchen - I love it THE CUBAN SANDWICH - Sandwiches Near Me - Garland, Texas

My first time here, and I love this place! Being my first time, I did the close-eyes-and-point for the menu, Cuban. Loved it! Toasted hot, and delicious bread, plenty of meats, completely wonderful sandwich. Very fast service, these folks know their job. Friendly and efficient, very clean place. Be warned, very little seating, but a huge amount of the traffic is take-out, and there's tons of easy parking. I'm more than a tiny bit embarrassed that this is my first time here, but I've always been distracted by Burger Land on the other side of the tracks. Love this place! read more

Tasty sandwiches, soups were ok. Tomato was a bit too thick and not hot but it was a late lunch (3:15), probably been holding a couple hours. The corn pozole was very bland. Pricey for what it was. Counter service was friendly. Dining area was clean. I would return if in the area. Better than fast food. read more

Had a lovely lunch at Lito's Kitchen today! I was greeted warmly by the lady at the counter! She was so sweet and walked me through the menu. I asked for some recommendations, and I settled with the Italian sandwich! As for drinks, I wanted to try something different so I got the cucumber drink! I sat down in one of the counters, and the decor was so cute! It was filled with nice and kind messages. It was very casual and welcoming! I LOVED my italian sandwich! It was toasted perfectly! The produce was fresh, and the meats were abundant! There was a slight kick to it that was unique too! The bread was SO SOFT too! It was a fun party in my mouth! Also, the cucumber agua fresca was so refreshing and complimented my meal well! Truly a great spot! I can't wait to go back and try more things! read more

Yum. Yum. Yum. Fresh breads and ingredients. Ordered the chicken salad on sourdough and the kale smoothie ... delish! Highly recommend!

Great place! Honest simple and quality food. I return every time I can. Also their bread is great

I can't believe I've missed out on this place. I tried the Cuban sandwich and the Birria sandwich, and they were both amazing in their own way. The Cuban sandwich was one of the best ones in the DFW area. The Birria sandwich is completely new to me, and it quickly became a favorite. If you like bold flavors, get it! Besides the food, the employees were so friendly. There is also a good amount of seating and parking. Can't wait to be back already! read more

Tucked away from the main strip of garland rd, and even Shiloh rd, exists a lunch spot that's an oasis among the taquerias and industrial businesses. Walking in, I saw this place mostly specializes in their fresh baked bread. You can buy whole loaves of bread, and they even put out samples of the focaccia. The sample of focaccia bread was absolutely Divine. Spongy like a focaccia should be, with fresh olives baked on top, Right amount of olive oil in the mix. I ended up ordering a breakfast sandwich, and I was not disappointed. Some vegetables, the bread is truly the crown Jewel of the meal. Fluffy soft inside, Father toasted crackly outside. The chipotle sauce they use is out of this world! It's clearly made in house, and it has this bright lemony flavor that never fades. They don't add that much meat in this breakfast sandwich, but for $7, it's hard to complain. I came back an hour later because I couldn't stop thinking about the focaccia bread! It was just as good as the sample I had, except with more olives!! Because I was in the mood for dessert, I also ordered the oatmeal cranberry cookie. I had a feeling they made it in house, so I figured it was going to be pretty good. Pretty good is an understatement. I will gladly come back when in the area and when they're open! read more

Great Cuban sandwich! The meat was juicy and the pickles were crisp. And the cookie I got to go was awesome. Service was quick and friendly. It's just a small place, but they were pretty busy during lunch. read more

Lito's Kitchen isn't just a restaurant; it's like a warm hug filled with delicious flavors. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with friendly smiles that make you feel at home. The owner and staff pour their hearts into every dish, and they even make their own homemade bread and butter--not your average sandwich shop! Their sandwiches are a must-try, especially the Latin fusion options. The chimichurri Cuban-style sandwich is delicious, and the birria grilled cheese is gooey and savory!Even their iced coffee and cookies left me impressed! I found Lito's Kitchen through the Yelp experience, and it has quickly becaone of my favorite hole-in-the-wall spots. Love the food and service. I had the steak salad and it was big enough for leftovers. Definitely a hidden gem!

This is a nice lunch spot in a lightly industrialized area. They offer a varied menu of sandwiches, bowls and wraps. You especially do not want to miss their bread which is homemade and fantastic! Also gorgeous cinnamon rolls and nice big cookies. Since it was our first time there we didn't know to bring our appetites, so we are already planning our next visit so we can get one of everything! read more

Cuban was absolute fire. Not sure about anything else there but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

This family owned place has amazing food and all the ingredients are fresh. I highly recommend trying some bread samples and then taking a loaf home. The sourdough and focaccia is incredible. I recommend ordering early if you want a Reuben as those sell out quickly. I ordered two beef sandwiches and the owner gave me two slices of focaccia for free because they were out of Reubens. I'll definitely be back. The food and bread is incredible! read more

Amazing food and great selection of items on their menu. Healthy food and amazing soups. It a small seating area so it can get very crowded so you can order on line to be picked up to go. They also have healthy drinks. There is nothing that I've ordered that I haven't loved. read more

Superb dining experience! Busy quaint restaurant with multi-ethnic menu featuring many Mediterranean options. Excellent options for vegetarian: I recommend the roasted Brussel Sprouts. Spouse had chicken salad sandwich and loved it as well! read more

Back in town and enjoying another delicious meal at Lito's Kitchen! This time I went for the Greek salad with chicken and lemon vinegarette with a side of their fresh focaccia bread. What an unexpected surprise! My son and DIL suggested giving Lito's a try today for lunch and I'm so glad we did. What a hidden gem of a sandwich shop in Garland! Fresh made breads and bakery goods only made the visit even more of a treat. The service was good and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy. I had a yummy tuna melt, hubby gave the grilled chicken a try and loved the chipotle mayo dressing. My son ate the chimichurri steak and his wife the turkey avocado. Did I mention the bread- each of our sandwiches had the right bread making the sandwiches tastier. And I could not help myself - I had to get a chocolate pistachio croissant to go! Another place that is a must - I plan to take my mom and hope to give the tomato basil soup a try. read more

Lito's Kitchen is the perfect brunch and lunch spot to satisfy your midday hunger. I love how everything is made fresh and you feel like you're actually eating something hearty and healthy that's good for you too. The food tastes amazing. You can can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I really enjoyed their avocado turkey sandwich, mac n cheese, Brussel sprouts, salmon bowl, and salads. Also they have season agua frescas: we tried both watermelon and hibiscus and both were perfection. Would love to try their other deli sandwiches and soups next! Excellent service as well, very friendly staff will help you navigate the menu. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you or you can pick up at the counter also. The place is a mid size restaurant but we had difficulty finding seats with how busy the place was. And there were constantly people coming in to pick up food and go. This is a real hidden find in Garland that you have to try that's locally owned. Support small business and give them a try if you're ever in the mood for something new and different! read more

We hadn't been here before. Is a small cute place in Garland. Easy to find with a small parking lot. They have a couple small tables and chairs outside their front door. We were greeted as we entered, it has a small dinning room, it wasn't busy while we were there for a late lunch but did have a steady stream of people ordering take out. I ordered the reuben, it came out quickly but was smaller than it looked on yelp and online & doesn't come with any sides. The bread and sauce were very good but the corn beef was a little fattier than I would have liked(why -1). If we come back I'll try a different sandwich next time. One of the clerks did come over and ask how we were and if we needed anything which I was impressed by. Lots of cute signs on the walls. read more

Lito's is not in my usual bubble, but if I'm in the area, I will certainly be grabbing lunch here. The place is kitschy, with plenty of silly signs to amuse you while you wait in line. This place is crazy busy during lunch, and for good reason. Sandwiches are excellent. I had the Barbacoa Melt and loved it!! Cookies and drinks are good as well, and service is on point. read more

What an amazing hidden gem! I went to visit my bestie in Garland and stopped and found this place on Yelp and thought I'd give it a try for our Friday afternoon lunch. I walked in and let them know I just found them on Yelp and what should I order. Everyone was so kind! I was suggested to order the barbacoa birria melt, chicken avocado club and macaroni and cheese . I wanted the watermelon/feta salad but they were all out because it's very popular. What I noticed, while waiting, is that even at 2:00 there was a steady stream of customers and it is very clean and nice. So let's talk food- The first bite was the macaroni and cheese- I'm the harshest critic and it is so good and fresh! I will absolutely get it again! The second bite was of the barbacoa birria melt and OH MY GOD this thing was packed with F-L-A-V-O-R Filled with barbacoa and mixed with melty Swiss cheese, onions, jalapeños and muchrooms. All between two pieces of perfectly grilddled rustic bread. Add the consommé and it goes from amazing to EPIC- the elevation in flavor from that bite! The last bite was the grilled chicken avo club - and oh my- such a 180 is flavor- light and bright with the tangy chipotle mayo. No dry grilled chicken here! All the flavors marry so well and the homemade ciabatta is PERFECT! I CAN'T WAIT to go back! Well done Lito's Kitchen! read more

We almost didn't eat here, and that would have been a huge mistake. It was very busy at lunch, and after eating here, we know why! Everything is good. The bread is fresh & delicious. Watermelon & feta was a tasty treat! The Tuna Melt was incredible. It's really hard to get a good tuna sandwich in a restaurant. Restaurants always want to throw hard boiled eggs into their tuna, enabling it inedible for me. Their tuna was amazing. The Cuban sandwich was also great. We will definitely be back. And soon! read more

My new favorite place when I'm craving a Reuben!! I'm a Reuben girl, so you know I'm picky when it comes to them. Everything about it was delicious! My husband had the Barbacoa Birria melt and again delicious! The side of potato salad was quite small for the price but it was flavorful and made with dill, which we prefer. All in all, it was a great lunch and we will be back! read more

The food was delicious. I had the tomato basil soup and a pita type bread. Both were very tasty. My dil has the chicken gyro. Also good. Had the pineapple kale smoothie. It was very good. Lito's Kitchen - BREAKFAST SANDWICH - Sandwiches Near Me - Garland, Texas

Definitely hidden! Gps'd it bcz of another yelper's review. Yes, I'm THAT greedy sometimes. Lol... location is on the front of a business park and directly across the street from Grainger. Outside doesn't do the inside justice AT ALL. Once you walk in, you realize it's a cute lil cafe that can seat about 30 at max capacity. Everything looks clean and tidy. I was greeted and helped as soon as I walked in. Order to receiving food took about 10 mins max, and she even walked the food over to where I was sitting :). I sooo appreciate that kindness in 2024! Ordered to go and food was neatly packaged and freshly made. Cuban sandwich, though a bit dry to me, it has some good flavor potential. Cobb salad was hearty and ingredients were crisp. Hard to eat in small box (not complaining bcz I'm glad they didn't skimp) so I dumped into a larger container when I got home. I needed elbow room. Haha Overall, I give the spot a thumbs up. Great for a workday lunch order. read more
