This is a great spot with very authentic Latin American food with a little continental fair mixed in. The tortilla soup is a must have and one of the best I've ever had. I love a good Cuban sandwich - slow-cooked pork, boiled ham, cheese, thin long pickles and tangy mustard all smooshed panini-style in white bread. It's a magical combination. This version of Cuban is not this. It's an interesting sandwich but more Mexican sandwich with jalapeños and carnitas and no pickles and little mustard. (I did ask for pickles.) (and I think there was mayo in there!) The bun is also a little too chewy for a Cuban. Also had Mac and cheese which was good but nothing to blow you away. I really like this place! It's in an industrial part of Garland and doesn't look like much from the outside. But it's really nice inside, clean and organized. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. They make the best sandwiches, salads and smoothies. The food has really great ingredients and the portions are large. I decided to check this place out for lunch as a few of my coworkers have explained to me how quick, easy, and delicious the food is. Also, it is a huge help that it is right around the corner from my office. This hole in the wall breakfast and lunch place is right along Kingsley Road nestled between an auto repair shop and hose and pipe supply store. If you blink you will miss it but once you step inside the store you will be greeted with super friendly staff and a wide variety of people from brick layers, lawyers, bankers, mechanics, and city workers. The food has a small variety primarily dedicated to soups, salads, and hot sandwiches. The breakfast menu has smoothies, omelets, and parfaits. The chalkboard menu sits atop the bar/ordering station and includes a direct view into the kitchen so you can watch your food being created, cooked, and delivered to your table. Now before I begin on the food, let me explain that this simple lunch stop takes a Hispanic spin on typical hot lunch sandwiches. I decided on getting The Cuban which was raved about from my coworkers. The Cuban had a distinct twist on it that instead of normal pork and cheese, Lito's made it with their signature carnitas. Per side of the sandwich they gave you: melted provolone, mustard, mayonnaise, jalapenos, and two pieces of carnitas that were big and juicy. The sandwich was made well with other sweet onions that counteracted the spice of the jalapenos for a very sweet tasting sandwich. Throughout the whole meal, the sandwich didn't make a complete mess from being over stuffed. I opted for a side of Mac N Cheese and a citrus green tea that were completely optional. The only issue with the Mac N Cheese was that it was very runny, but with only a scoopful of it, it wasn't something to worry about because it was very good as well. I will be recommending and coming back often but I will guess soon that they will become too popular and must move to a new location because their facilties are still fairly small. read more

We've been ordering from Lito's for at least a year. If you want excellent unique sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups, etc., you need to go to Lito's. And they're all at reasonable prices. We are very close to the restaurant and have stopped in and picked up lunches, but most of the time we use DoorDash. They are one of the quickest delivery times out there and we've never been disappointed in anything we've ordered. And they pay attention if you ask for things like no mayo, or dressing on the side.
