Actually, it was Son #1 & college friend/co-worker and their children the reason why we're at the park. And being their grandmother, I become a kid again, when I'm with them. I picked the largest pine cones, hidden in hubby's hoodie (I didn't have a bag), to experiment on. The Magnolia tree greeted us, as we entered the park, was in full bloom. I think it's scented, too! My favorite about this park, was the playground. I spent more time swinging with the youngest grandson, and watching him and his 8 years old playmate (friends since toddlers), and walking around to the nearest creek & bridge. If it wasn't feeling like about to rain, we could have stayed much longer! Oh, they also have to drive back to Portland, today, so off they go, and we stayed longer.

Central Park in Ashland OR During our stop in the City of Ashland on our way back to California we walked across the street to Lithia Park. We were wrapping up a Thanksgiving weekend at the time of our visit so leaves have fallen and they may have experienced some rain. It wasn't too chilly, the sun was out and so were the locals (and visitors like us). Lithia Park is a historic park and has combinations of woodland, ponds, gardens, and gorgeous Italian-style fountains. It's no wonder the park has been named the Crown Jewel of Ashland. The park is huge! Lithia Park is located in a lush forested area and also has hiking trails but we didn't go that far. Wow, and I didn't know this but, the park is also a source of Lithia Mineral Water. The park was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Review #3266

Walked around this park while visiting Oregon and I was so content. The trees were all different colors and the path was a pretty easy walk. I especially like how much parking there is and so much to do around the park. I can't wait to come back and see it again, there was so much wildlife around and surprisingly quiet for how much people there was around

I wish all cities had a park like this one! So wonderful have such a big, natural park right in the middle of a city. Spring was a wonderful time to visit, too, as the stream was flowing, and the Rhodies & Azaleas were in full bloom. Highly recommended!

Good family walk or if interested in some exercise hiking. Trail a little off. Nice views of mountains and lakes.

Nice park in the middle of Ashland, situated along the stream that runs through town. We spent a lovely afternoon here, strolling along the shady paths, relaxing by the water, and watching our kids play and make friends. I especially enjoyed learning about the various trees from plaques that describe them, from Oregon Grape and California Black-oak to lace-leaf Japanese Maple and American Ash that the city is likely named after. We will certainly return to Lithia Park next time we are in Ashland.

Clean, fun, lots of things to do for all ages and abilities. Wish less weed being smoked out in the open but it's Oregon so expected.

Peaceful, gorgeous park with lush lawns, surrounded by beautiful trees including one with pink leaves, pretty flowers and Ashland Creek (or is it a river..?) flowing around portions of it. We brought some lunch and sat at a bench under a tree where we could stay dry because it was lightly raining. We will definitely be back!

My hubby did a college internship in Ashland "a few" years back, and has such wonderful memories of his time there, and the many hours specifically he spent roaming this beautiful metropolitan "wilderness," we just had to stop here during our trip out to Oregon in June. Ashland is a WONDERFUL college town/medium-sized city with so much to see and do, and this park right in the middle of town is a GREAT place to take a break, breathe in the fresh air, and explore the surprisingly large number of hidden "nooks and crannies." You can hike around and "lose yourself" for a short walk, people watch on the lawn or spend all day!! Such a great resource, I'm sure it's well-used throughout the year. We saw picnickers, hikers, bikers, several ponds and playgrounds, a nature center, and MUCH more!! Beautiful area in a wonderful city-- Don't miss it if you're in the area!!

This is the most beautiful park I've been to in the USA. We went towards the end of October and it was magical- so many colors, several families of deer running through. It looked like a Thomas kincade painting or a puzzle. It was chilly and has lots of shade so make sure you're dressed in layers if you go. We also visited the playground swings (wiped them down first bc we are in COVID times) and had a great time.

Most lovely place!!only wish you could take dogs, but I get it. In Ashland there are many trails referring to Alice in Wonderland and it could be tha Lithia is Ashland's wonderland...shade, water, trails, animals...and a truly magical feel

Amazing. Beautiful. Right downtown. Waterway throughout the park. Signs telling you plants and flora. Plenty of space to social distance.

If you come to Ashland, and you don't walk this gorgeous park - you are really missing out! It's a treasure! Each time we visit, we come to the park and see something different. In Fall - it's a wonderland of gorgeous leaves and trees. They are so lucky to have this beautiful space in their town! Tip - you can drive the entire distance too - 100 acres!!! Bring a picnic or a blanket. Giant kids play area and an ice rink too! A gem!!!

Ask the Community - Lithia Park

What portion of park was the row of widely spaced gazebos that are memorials each with a fountain( no drinking) and varieties of trees with a plates telling what part of world it came from?

If that's not a confusing run-on sentence, I don't know what is...

We had all of those things. My main dish was not to my liking. That's ok and it happens. (It was the meatloaf, and I think possibly they had made some seasonal adjustments to the sides and sauces, because other recent online photos look different). I didn't complain, but the server noticed I didn't eat a lot of the food on my plate. She asked politely if I didn't care for it. And so began a conversation which ended with it being removed from our bill. We didn't ask for that to occur, but they must have felt it was the right thing to do. By the way, the tomato basil bisque had terrific flavors. My husband's fried chicken was delicious! The homemade foccaccia was also warm and fresh. I would return to Larks, and order something different. Because, why not give it another try? It's so cute!

Food 5/5 Service 5/5…read moreAtmosphere 5/5 Our reservation for two was at 6:30pm on a Friday night, we let our server know we had OSF tickets 8pm and we made it! Didn't feel rushed at all, enjoyed wonderful salads (caprese and the daily special arugula/strawberry) and entrees (meatloaf and the lingcod on beet puree special). We did not order wine or dessert, so I'm not sure what we missed, we'll have to go back sometime!
