This dude is a jerk
Forever F.

Im standing here in this lame ass line for what ??? These bouncers want to make it look like the place is crowded. I'm so irritated . I have to pee. It's effing cold out here. I have vip passes that they are not honoring . What a joke this place is. Seriously . Do you realize how rude it is to keep us out here freezing with tickets in hand ... just so your place can look popular or crowded???? Tonight is the Selena tribute. Many of us have our tickets out but these bouncers don't care. They don't care who got here first they are so disorganized . Not cool. It's Montbello not Hollywood. Get it together Lit!

RUDE Security who kept pushing crowd & was drinking on the job! Security is supposed to PROTECT & ensure a SAFE & SECURE PLACE!

Featuring one of the newest hottest bartenders; she said her name was Bre, but I'll only refer to her as princess because she is royalty.

But once you find it, it's large, gated, and has a couple attendants watching the cars. You go upstairs and it opens up into a decent sized space. Large enough to hold people and dance, and small enough that you can see the band from every point in the bar. It has a long bar when you enter and looks like they'll take care of you for the night. At the far end of the venue is a little space. I'm not sure if they use that as their green room cuz it wasn't inviting you to come in. Overall, I think it's a decent venue. Not sure if the sound was an issue w the bands' equipment or The Paramount. I'd go back if a fave band of mine is playing.

I don't recall seeing an elevator so call before hand if you're in a wheel chair or are on crutches, because you have to go up a flight of stairs to get into the venue. Inside, it's cute and definitely looks like an old dance hall from the 1900's. I'd say this was a medium sized venue. The stage wasn't terribly high off the ground. There's a big, beautiful, bar and a disco ball and it has a lot of charm since it's an older venue. Seeing a show here feels less stressful than seeing one in downtown or Hollywood. It's not my favorite venue but it's definitely a good time and more intimate than the downtown venues and free parking is always a plus.

The drinks are tastefully mix and you feel right at home. I was expecting my pretzel bites to be stale as most bars with food aren't that great but they were soft and salted. They consistently check your tables to check on you and remove finished drinks and empty dishes. PARKING was soooo easy to find. Right beside it there's a parking garage and the charge was $10 for a Friday night. I love this place and I can't wait to go again

I came here with a friend around 11:30pm on a Saturday night. We came looking to play billiards,…read moreand boy did we have fun!! We got on the waitlist for billiards and were able to start playing immediately. It was $20 for one hour and we played for two hours. The drinks were wonderful, my friend and I shared a purple ube cocktail and a fresh lemony gin cocktail. I can't remember what they were called but they were so tasty that we ordered a second round. The live music also made everything so special. The performers were absolutely incredible. It was a little bit crowded in there, which would be fine if people didn't keep crowding standing around where they shouldn't be. Last call for drinks was 1:30am, and I think last call for food was 12:30am. At 1:30 we were told to move away from the games area and go upstairs. Everythung was great until I heard a bartender say that me and my friend were overstaying our welcome ... it was barely 1:45 and we were finishing our drinks. That was rude... After that we were told we still had 5mins. I guess we'll leave early next time. It was just rude to see bartenders point at us and loudly say we weren't welcome ...

Visited The Regent to see Margaret Cho host Asian Nation for Netflix Is a Joke fest…read more Parking: Located on a one-way street with several cash only $25 parking lots across from the venue (red and white signs that say Joe's Parking). The venue is located in DTLA on skid row... If you park nearby in one of the lots and stick to walking back and forth from the venue, you'll be okay. Don't recommend walking around this area especially if you're by yourself. Food: The food was scrumptious at the adjacent Prufrock Pizzeria. I would come back to this venue just to eat there beforehand. Service: It would've been nice if the venue employee was more proactive, there was a gaggle of people blocking the walkway and it took him a minute to tell them to move. After that, he just stared blankly at us after that until I asked where our assigned seats were. Ambiance: The actual venue was nice. It was intimate and you can see the performer even if you're in the back. We were on the right side towards the front, a few rows back. I appreciated that the mic level wasn't too loud even though we sat in front of the speaker; sometimes at comedy events it feels like the mic is SO LOUD that I have to wear earplugs. At this venue, the noise level was perfect.

Worst theater experience I've ever had, and I've been to all of the downtown LA venues…read more For starters, it's right on the border of Skid Row, and the zombies are creeping everywhere. The whole place smells like urine and feces because of this. They'll only let you in when "they're ready" so if you're there before showtime, they force you into some filthy bar attached to the venue (which stinks of the aforementioned body fluids). They only have one bartender, and he's surly and lousy. Then they herd you like cattle into their dumpy venue. The staff is rude, and the whole place is rundown. The acoustics are garbage. The sloping floor will make your legs ache for days. It has no vintage charm, it's just a dirty armpit. It's hot as hell, with no ventilation. Prepare to be unsafe. The security is trash- two fights broke out when I was there, and they took forever to react and hustle people out. After I finally escaped, I found that the $25 I paid to park in the lot across the street was completely useless, because a hobo broke into my car and took a dump! Hate isn't a strong enough word for The Regent. This craphole deserves to burn down.
