I'm so disappointed in you guys. I'm giving 3 stars in hopes that you will correct the inconsistencies in the kitchen. Consistency is VERY important when owning a restaurant. My husband and I have eaten here a total of 4 times. Every visit was different. Everytime I orded the Creole Chicken, Sausage and Onions Mac and Cheese and my husband ordered Creole or Cajun loaded Fries w Steak and Shrimp. The 1st time: They ran out of pasta by mid-day so I had to accept rice instead. The rice was good and well seasoned. However both of our meals were small. For that amount of money. I was shocked by how little they gave us. (I'll come back to that part later.) My husband's meal was also small and had VERY little cheese. The 2nd time: Again, the meals were small. However, the food was good. And this time they had pasta. We considered not returning because for that amount of money they didn't offer the right amount of food for the price. We decided to try again weeks later. The 3rd time: This time the food was AMAZING!!!! And it was LOADED! Now this is what we expected. So it validated how we felt the first 2 times. So the 3rd time, about 3 weeks ago my sister's were visiting and I let them taste it. They loved it. The plan was to purchase a plate for them the next time I see them. The 4th time (Sept 12 @ around 5 pm), whomever was cooking at that time did NOT season the food! This time it was definitely loaded. HOWEVER, the food was NOT good. My husband said he barely had cheese and as for my pasta, I literally had to season my food with salt, Cajun, and Obe Seasoning. It was THAT bland!!! Please do better. I don't want to see a good restaurant go out of business a year from now. My comment is not meant to tear you down. I hope the best for you. The Fry Spot hits the spot. My dad looooooves french fries and once he discovered this place, I knew we would have to check it out before too long. We stopped in on a sunny Saturday afternoon and had no idea where exactly The Fry Spot was. We parked where the GPS told the location is but there was some construction tape and barrels up blocking off what looked like the front doors. We took a stroll around and found the entrance to Premier Event Center and headed inside. Once we got inside, we saw The Fry Spot in the back corner. I have no idea what exactly the Premier Event Center is but it seemed to have a bar and a dance floor and open at 11am. Interesting. We headed to the back and placed an order with an extremely friendly cashier. Each Fry meal started around $12 and didn't include any sides. Just the fries and the oodles of toppings. My dad grabbed the Philly Fry and I snagged the Buffalo Chicken Fry. The place wasn't busy so we basically had the place to our self. We sat and chatted while we watched people occasionally come in to place orders to go or picked up their phone orders. It was about 10 minutes or so before our food was ready. We headed up to the counter and the same cashier gave us our boxes of food, but before she did that, she opened it and made sure we were happy with what we were getting. No complaints here. Food and drinks in hand, we headed back to the table. I could feel the heat coming off the fries as I gazed at the wonders in front of me. Once I dug in, the heat transferred to my mouth via the buffalo sauce. Man, that was some hot stuff. Each bite was super delicious. The quality of the chicken (which I got grilled) was impeccable. I tried my dad's Philly Fries and I almost had a bit of food envy, which is funny since I typically don't care for Philly-flavored things. One thing to keep in mind is that with all the toppings and sauces, the fries will get soggy. You can try to treat this as a finger food but I would 100% suggest using a fork or shovel. The amount of fries and toppings you get is just enough to make you full without making you feel stuffed. I probably could've squeezed in a dessert cheesecake they had for sale but I was happy with how I feeling. This is quite the strange place in a stranger place. My dad said it best and he would love to see a place like this at an amusement park, theme park, or those town carnival/festivals that pop up during the spring and summer. I could see this being a food truck-type place that shows up for big events. Maybe if this place does well, they can expand to doing just those kinds of things. Small note to wrap this up... I do believe this restaurant was located elsewhere in Peoria at another time so if it seems familiar, that may be why. This is one spot you will want to check out. read more

The food is amazing, don't get me wrong on that. But when I called in to order over the phone (they use their personal IPhone) and you have to pay over the phone when you order ahead. Right when I was giving my card info away they started recording the call. I had to repeat my card info because she didn't hear me, and while I repeated my card info again it said "Hi this person is recording the call"... which is super odd. That never happened before. I said something when I got there, and a man said that it was probably me that started recording the call which I didn't , I made sure I didn't I checked where recorded calls go & I never recorded the call. It was on there end. I just found it fishy they started recording the call right when I gave my card info to them....... That part had me bothered & overthinking so I ordered a new card. Just be aware you have to provide card info over the phone to place an order ahead of time which you have to give CVV, and also the expiration date.. but overall amazing food ima keep coming back but maybe order my food in person from now on. read more

Loaded fries were good! Catfish dinner was good! Strawberry cheesecake and lemonade was great! The service was fair. It was 2 kids at the counter. They need customer service training. Arguing. Belittling the girl for being super slow. She seemed very sad and didnt have any training. Glad I checked my box before I left. They forgot my catfish Floors were super sticky. No highchair. I stumbled upon this place leaving a meeting. I love fries so I said why not stop at a place that specializes in fries‍. I wasn't disappointed...they had so many different options. I decided on the Philly fries and a piece of catfish filet and lemon shake up with peach flavor. All extremely delicious and it was soo much good for the price! Fish was fresh seasoned and crispy hot and the Philly fries were on point. The chef was great he came out and showed me the food before he put in bag and I could not wait to eat it! Overall great and good prices and it's black owned ! I'll be back on my next visit to Peoria which will be at least once a month and i let me colleagues know. The Philly was a huge hit for the adults. Chili cheese fries were a hit with the kids. Plenty of toppings but still a great balance of toppings to fries. These had to travel about 15 minutes to get home and were still great, so don't be afraid to order for pickup even if you're a few miles away. Another reviewer said the fries were too oily, but ours were great - definitely on the softer side (as fries go), but you have to expect that with so many toppings in the mix. read more

Amazing food that is unlike any other. The rich combinations of fries and meat is amazing. I had the surf and turf and it was well prepared, seasoned well and generous proportions. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Prices are reasonable atmosphere is soothing, and we even had a jazz live performance. Loved this place! Even though they were busy for a Wednesday night, we still had amazing personable service and the food was incredible! Their lemon "shakeups" are more like lemonade with various flavors as opposed to being a shake up, but still very good! Got the Buffalo chicken and shrimp and the Philly cheesesteak fries. This place is oh so very good! The fries are crispy and hold up well to all the delicious goodness they pile on top. We had the Philly fries and the BBQ bacon ranch chicken fries minus the ranch add cheese sauce! Don't get me started on how ridiculous the cheese sauce is. Wow! Can you say packed with flavor. The portions are humongous well worth the price. The lemonade shake ups are the perfect compliment to a great meal. The customer service was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. The decor was also very comfortable. I highly recommend this place. We will for sure be returning customers! Updated...As we were leaving we were chatting with one of the workers. He was telling us about the dessert they had. He went back into the kitchen and brought us out a platter of their sweet potato waffle fries. So back to our seats we went! They were covered in caramel and marshmallow creme. It kind of tasted almost like a hot smothered funnel cake. All I can say is it was the BEST dessert I have EVER eaten in a restaurant! I have had grilled chicken with Alfredo but this place you can have fried chicken it was amazing. The Alfredo sauce was great different but great. Staff was nice.
