I emailed him back later that day and stated I still hadn't received the invoice, he replied that they had indeed sent to to the right email address and that they could see the email had been open and read.. implying that we had read it, we had not. The service we received to fix the issue was amazing, the service while waiting for our invoice and the implication that we read the email was not appropriate as we were the ones trying to figure out why we hadn't received our invoice in the first place. We love using North Saanich for our plumbing needs, just the issue with billing and the manner for which it was handled this time was not.

Some young man came and spent about 1 and a half hours trying to scope the drains. Due to an inoperational camera, he left and came back in a few days to finish the job. I was originally billed about $650 for this service. After complaining about that it was reduced to $490. I had another plumber come in and do the same thing with three recommendations for fixing it. He charged $168! So if you want to pay 3x what any other plumber would charge, go for it!

My manager called three plumbing company's yesterday to get their plumbing serviced. When I heard that no one had come, I called Wade Roberts plumbing this morning. I was assured that they would have a plumber out very soon. A plumber called to check in, with a time frame of within 1 hr. Sure enough, two plumbers arrived within that timeframe. Brock and Easton were very professional and both courteous, respectful and patient with my elderly client and myself. Every step was explained, price quoted and agreed to prior to commencing, as they worked through the diagnostics and resulting cause. I had contacted the plumber as my LifeTime Rheem large capacity hot water tank does require some routine maintenance. As it turned out the connected expansion tank was filling with water and was improperly installed. The tech rectified all that within a tight time frame -- and of course throughly inspected the main tank, electronics, and electrodes. He also drained any sediment. While these are typical aspects with respect to the requested services, the manner performed was exhaustive, professional and everything was kept clean, dry and tidy. I had complete confidence as I looked on and observed complete respect for my property. In the course of the service call (which I was initially hesitant to initiate, just because, well, who bothers with maintenance?), it was also determined that my water pressure regulator valve was malfunctioning after a water pressure test was conducted early on. While replacement was relatively costly, it was perhaps critically necessary so that was why I'm thrilled. This was a throughly executed, friendly, and even thoughtful service(s) call. During the initial assessment, Mike spent a good amount of time discussing options with us, and their pricing seemed fair and good value for the service. While the installation appeared to meet code requirements, immediately after the work completion we noticed that the "relief valve discharge pipe" was positioned directly above a drywall surface--creating an obvious risk should any discharge occur (picture attached). Despite my repeated and reasonable requests for clarification on liability and suggestions to reposition or extend the pipe to mitigate potential damage, I received dismissive replies. The company refused to adjust the work without charging additional fees. Even after I raised concerns about the risk of future property damage, they stated the matter was "closed" and asked me not to contact them again. I had hoped for a cooperative and safety-conscious resolution. Unfortunately, Impact Plumbing did not take ownership of the concern or prioritize customer satisfaction. I would caution other clients to be very clear up front and not assume post-installation support will be available. Our hot water tank failed on Saturday. I called the company that had installed it and they had been…read morebought out by a large company. They got back to me and said they would have a plumber out to assess it on Monday. He showed up on Monday and confirmed that the tank needed replacement and he would report back to Head Office in Vancouver. Couldn't confirm when they could get back to do the job! On Tuesday I called them and they said they couldn't get approval for replacement until the following Monday!!!! That would be 10 days without hot water!! I paid for their service call and contacted Mike from Impact Plumbing and Heating. He got me to take a picture of the tank and the label and send it to him! He called back and said his guy (Max) would pick the tank up around noon and head over! He arrived at 1:15 pm and by 2:30 was finished!! One call was all it took!! I would definitely recommend Impact Plumbing for any plumbing, heating or gas job!!!
