I had contacted the plumber as my LifeTime Rheem large capacity hot water tank does require some routine maintenance. As it turned out the connected expansion tank was filling with water and was improperly installed. The tech rectified all that within a tight time frame -- and of course throughly inspected the main tank, electronics, and electrodes. He also drained any sediment. While these are typical aspects with respect to the requested services, the manner performed was exhaustive, professional and everything was kept clean, dry and tidy. I had complete confidence as I looked on and observed complete respect for my property. In the course of the service call (which I was initially hesitant to initiate, just because, well, who bothers with maintenance?), it was also determined that my water pressure regulator valve was malfunctioning after a water pressure test was conducted early on. While replacement was relatively costly, it was perhaps critically necessary so that was why I'm thrilled. This was a throughly executed, friendly, and even thoughtful service(s) call. When our repair man came from Four Seasons, our first impression was very positive, he was so conscientious, happy and very knowledgeable. He explained so much and took the time to inform us on what was being replaced and how he would do it, he ordered the new motor and departed. Unfortunately when he returned the new motor received was not compatible with our specific installation. Instead of blaming the factory, or just leaving us by saying another fan must be ordered, he called the main office to see what they could do? They made it happen by removing a fan from a new unit they had in stock and installed the new fan that same day. The bad comment is regarding a billing issue, we waited a month to receive our invoice, after a month they called. somebody had sent the invoice to the wrong email address, but upon speaking to the manager ( he had the correct email address) and stated he would send the invoice again. I emailed him back later that day and stated I still hadn't received the invoice, he replied that they had indeed sent to to the right email address and that they could see the email had been open and read.. implying that we had read it, we had not. The service we received to fix the issue was amazing, the service while waiting for our invoice and the implication that we read the email was not appropriate as we were the ones trying to figure out why we hadn't received our invoice in the first place. We love using North Saanich for our plumbing needs, just the issue with billing and the manner for which it was handled this time was not.

We had North Saanich Plumbing come in to check our perimeter drains due to back up into our…read morebasement during the last major downpour. Some young man came and spent about 1 and a half hours trying to scope the drains. Due to an inoperational camera, he left and came back in a few days to finish the job. I was originally billed about $650 for this service. After complaining about that it was reduced to $490. I had another plumber come in and do the same thing with three recommendations for fixing it. He charged $168! So if you want to pay 3x what any other plumber would charge, go for it!
