I had contacted the plumber as my LifeTime Rheem large capacity hot water tank does require some routine maintenance. As it turned out the connected expansion tank was filling with water and was improperly installed. The tech rectified all that within a tight time frame -- and of course throughly inspected the main tank, electronics, and electrodes. He also drained any sediment. While these are typical aspects with respect to the requested services, the manner performed was exhaustive, professional and everything was kept clean, dry and tidy. I had complete confidence as I looked on and observed complete respect for my property. In the course of the service call (which I was initially hesitant to initiate, just because, well, who bothers with maintenance?), it was also determined that my water pressure regulator valve was malfunctioning after a water pressure test was conducted early on. While replacement was relatively costly, it was perhaps critically necessary so that was why I'm thrilled. This was a throughly executed, friendly, and even thoughtful service(s) call. The Fujitsu thermostat that West Bay installed - but does not understand how to operate - was not working. I called and had to beg Duncan for 30 mintes to send a serviceman out to fix it. This turned into a multi-week ordeal during which 3 different guys spent a total of 6 hours at my house on 3 separate appoinments. None of them could figure out why the thermostat did not work properly. The third guy was on the phone to Fujitsu for an hour while he was standig in my hallway! These were friendly young men who admitted they had never been trained by the company on this product. Frustrated but not allowed to replace the faulty unit, they gave up and left me with a unit I still cannot set on a schedule, meaning I have to constantly adjust the temperature and am not getting the savings on power that a heat pump should provide. When I wrote a long letter to the owner, Dave Young, begging him to authorize this repair, I was ignored. He never responded nor even acknowledged receiving it. I have heard that West Bay used to be a reputable company until bought by this owner who just doesn't care about the customers, only his profit m More than disappointing. Even though the plumber was wrong and the second visit ended up being unnecessary, they insisted we had to pay $337 for the visit. Part of this charge was for a a helper who was getting on-the-job training. After questioning this invoice, we were told the charges were valid, but they removed the charge for the trainee. They said the remaining $218 would stand. We paid, but noted that we still disagreed and would leave a review as such. At this point the owner started emailing us about how "they are not God" and that any experienced plumber could make the same mistake. Sure, we all make mistakes, but it's not normal to make your customer pay for them. They offered us a refund of $42 if we agreed to remove the reviews. We didn't accept that offer as we'd rather let other potential customers know about our experience.

If possible, I would give them 10 stars out of 5. The reason I would recommend them is for the following reasons. This company runs like a well oiled machine. The office staff is good at communicating and answering questions when needed and always returns your calls They are polite and courtesy. If there is a problem that others have told you is unsolvable, Nick from Aire Serv will come over and lay out solutions and options to fix the issue. He will conduct comprehensive tests to verify that everything is correct. Then he will guide his workers like Kevin, Dennis, and Cameron to implement the solution that he came up with. These workers are very knowledgeable, clean, and polite. They take so much pride in their work that they forget to take a break and eat. While they are correcting the issues caused by others, if they find another problem that may be dangerous, they fix it; for example pipe is loose and not supported well, leak in the exhaust pipe, etc. At the end of their work day they cleanup flawlessly. I am embarrassed to say that they left the work work area in cleaner and better shape than before the job was started. Also, these workers know every single thing about the HVAC system, and what each component does. The reason I am saying this is becauseI have come across other companies previous to this company that thought the motherboard, thermostat, etc were bad, which was incorrect diagnosis. When you describe to these workers the issue, they know exactly where the issue is and fix it. Raj
