I don't know how y'all get the best waxologists but our girl, Alicia, in Sarasota was incredible too. Now that we're in Tampa, we've been blessed with our girl, Morgan, who is killerrrrr at her job. Super efficient, a great time to be around, and always understanding if we have any scheduling conflicts. Morgan is why we keep coming, to be honest. When I was younger, I was one of those people who never would have believed in getting facials…read more After all, it's pretty much just washing your face and putting products on it, right?? Well, fast forward into my 40s, I start to realize that I need a little more help in looking my best and start to see the value of getting them. Between working night shift, not getting enough sleep, and just everyday stress in general, it really starts to show on my skin and I don't quite bounce back the way I used to, so facials are a great way to help brighten my complexion. I was introduced to Glomour Medispa thanks to a yelpie event (because I can always count on Yelp to introduce me to some of the best experiences) and I was so impressed with the service and results of the most basic facial, that I decided to come back. Angela is great to work with, easy going, and listened to me about what my needs and goals were for my facial. (A big plus is that she's a fellow RN, so I know she REALLY understands the specific in the self-care department for people like me, lol). She helps but me at ease and explains every step of what we're doing throughout the process. Facials are a nice blend of relaxation, aromatherapy, and some "me-time" meditation when I'm letting the masks settle into my skin. I've getting facials semi-regularly since then. Nice little treat and you really see the benefits the next day. Sure, it's a luxury, but I've only got one face, so I may as well take care of it.

I would not recommend this wax place solely for that reason. managing the membership is a PAIN, I was not able to get set up in the app and had to call to manage my membership. The phone lines run busy and when you finally get to someone it's as if they don't want to talk to you. I was requesting a cancellation of the service due to not living in the area anymore, I was told they would cancel my appointment, suspend my membership for 3 months and send me the cancellation email. I was reassured that I wouldn't be charged and that the suspension would cover the 1 month it takes to actually cancel the membership. not only did I not receive any information regarding the suspension or cancellation via email I was charged again a week later for another month. this is very frustrating to me because it was so easy for them to get me all the information QUICKLY to sign up for the membership but now that I need to manage it they are very slothful in that. again the lady who did my wax was great and I hope soon she branches out and gets her own wax spot. As far as front desk goes better training may be needed in membership management and customer request follow through.

Booking online was super easy. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were warm and inviting. My waxing specialist greeted me right away to prep the room. She was kind, knowledgeable, and made me feel totally at ease. She asked about my previous experiences and consistently checked on the wax temperature and my comfort level. She even noticed I was sweating and immediately turned on a fan, which was a huge relief! I really enjoyed her company throughout the appointment. She also gave excellent, clear aftercare advice, detailing product usage and when to begin. What I appreciated most was her approach to a pre-pay package; it felt like a genuine recommendation to save money, not a pushy upsell. I ended up buying a skin treatment and upgraded to the package because it was truly a fantastic deal.

I've never had an incident as one that I had this past Saturday. The girl that was doing my Wax was new. She told me she was new when I walked into the room. There was no plastic on the table. In the room, she said I'm new. I'm gonna hope you don't mind that I'm new. I will have someone in here to watch to make sure everything goes accordingly. Are you OK with this? She asked I said, of course I'm fine. I've had new girls before. She starts to apply the Wax as she's doing this. She has a problem lifting the Wax off of me. She continues to put more wax on and gets sticker and she is unable to get the wax off of me mind you I am laying on the table for over 15 minutes with this girl, trying to pull the Wax off of me I told you to stop to get someone in there. She said she would. I waited. I waited. She left the room because I was getting anxious. She was getting nervous. I got up off the table half dressed, went in the hallway. Ask the lady across the hall to please help me. She said she would be with me in five minutes. I then I took the wax off me left will never go back. I arrived early for my appointment and she greeted me warmly and got me in right away. The space was clean, private, and had no weird smells (thank goodness). I used the restroom first and noticed there was no soap--mentioned it to her and she responded with genuine appreciation and took care of it. She gave me time to change and talked me through everything since it had been a while. The wax temperature was just right, and she used a method that didn't require stripping sheets, which was much more comfortable. What really helped? Jori's friendly conversation. I didn't feel like I was meeting her for the first time--she has a natural way of making you feel at ease. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. Her studio is super cute with fun, modern aesthetics--think faux grass walls, neon signs, and positive quotes. Love the vibe! I bought this appointment on Groupon for $28 (normally $53) and felt it was absolutely worth it. I tipped $20 via electronic payment--please don't forget to tip your waxologist, especially if you prepaid! I'm already planning to return in 4 weeks. As of today (May 27), I saw that the Groupon is still live--I'm grabbing two more. Highly recommend Jori!

Her place is small, only a waiting room and the service room with a bathroom, but it's only her so no need for fancies. I don't care so much about aesthetics (her place is modest), but I do care about the quality of the wax being used, the speed of the service (because let's be honest, it hurts), and the final product. Not only is Patricia extremely fãs and efficient, she talks to you the entire time to help take your mind off of what is happening down there, and I left feeling so fresh, clean, and smooth.
