This review is for Cat & Karen. I started off coming to see Annie here, but she left and I found Cat. Cat knows exactly how I love my lashes and gets it perfect every time. I get the C curl "dolleye/cute" longer in the center 9-11mm in the silk material. The retention is great. I try to go every 2-2.5 weeks but they definitely last 3 weeks. Karen also does a really great job and I discovered her when Cat was on vacation. I trust both of them to do my lashes and love that I'm not lying there for 2-3hours. I work near this business and had always been curious to see how they were. It was pretty easy to get an appointment and I came today (a few minutes) but Lisa and Karen (my lash tech) were understanding. Karen explained the different types of lash styles and shapes and recommended the natural look for me. Let me just say, if anyone is into ASMR‍, this is the experience I felt today (iykyk). Booking appointment - called on a Friday and was able to get a Sunday appt fairly easily. They have multiple locations so make sure you schedule at the correct one. Person booking the appt advised me not to buy the Groupon, but salon will honor Groupon price if I showed them screenshot of the deal. Also mentioned an additional 5% off if I paid in cash. Inside - waiting area and a few lash chairs separated by curtains for privacy. Seemed moderately clean and pleasant. Service - before getting started the lash tech asked what style I wanted and the type of lashes (regular or silk for an up charge ~$40?). From reading reviews at their other locations, most ppl suggest to upgrade as the regular lashes were very cheap and plasticky. All things considered, I was expecting this to be a quick and rushed 45 min appt, but she took her time and we got done in about 1.5 hr. Lashes felt good and looked good, no stickies and I was pleasantly surprised since my expectations were low. I paid about $140 for hybrid with silk upgrade and using the Groupon price. I did not return for a fill, which they charge 50% off of full price not the Groupon price, which would've been around $85 2 week fill for me. Their website/Groupon makes you think you'll be paying less than $100 for a full set, therefore $50 for a fill. Too good to be true, I should've known. Overall, I wouldn't return for a few reasons: - Feels scammy. Prices are advertised as super low, but you have to jump through a bunch of hoops, and still end up paying more. I went knowing that this wasn't going to be a top notch service but was willing to compromise for the price point, which ended up costing more than I had originally expected. - Don't want to say too much but the # of not recommended reviews are there for a reason. - At this price range, I'd prefer to go to a tech who is proud of their craft and pays more attention to quality of their work over quantity of clients in and out. However, if you are looking for somewhere with a wide appt availability, this might be for you. Keep in mind that it may be difficult to return to a tech you like since it seems they just book you with whoever is available. Prices are on the lower to average range, especially considering they are a salon and not home based. read more

I've worked with Cat and Karen, and both are amazing at making lashes look wispy and fluffy!!!! Lisa is always extremely last in answering messages and scheduling. Early in the morning and late at night for so many last minute appointments! So glad they have an Irving location! But I've been going to their other locations for over 6 years now whenever I'm in town. Now that I've moved back, definitely sticking with them! read more

I've had lashes on and off for the last decade and Cat at Lisa's lash is one of the best. Appointments are easy to schedule, lash variety is great (I started doing silk which is much better IMO thank mink) and they're always on time. Cat always does such an incredible job on my lashes! She's super fast & my lashes always stay on for several weeks. Not to mention they look so stunning!! They have an option to do a 2 week refill for 50% off, or 3 week refill for 25% off which I always take advantage of. My appointment for for a full volume set went from 5pm to 6:52pm! Time really flew by. The aesthetic of the lash studio is super cute! I love all the pink and it feels super clean. For payment, they accept payment in cash with 5% off; Venmo, or Zelle (QR codes at the front). The total amount they provide at the end of service is before tip, and there's signage that indicates 15% tip or higher is greatly appreciated. I tipped higher than 15% though because the service is really THAT good. My total before tip for a full set volume + wispy was $229. Can't wait to be back for my fill!

Unfortunately, despite being a loyal and respectful customer, my overall experience with the business has become increasingly disappointing. The biggest issue is the customer service outside of the actual appointments. Whoever is responsible for responding to client messages and handling appointment scheduling comes across as unprofessional, dismissive, and at times disrespectful. Booking appointments or communicating with the business often feels frustrating rather than welcoming. A business that depends on repeat clients should treat every interaction with professionalism and courtesy, and that has not been my experience. Another concern is the inconsistency in the quality of the lash technicians. While I have had wonderful experiences with a couple of them, several others have been surprisingly rude and lacked the customer service skills I would expect from a luxury beauty business. On two separate occasions, lash technicians pulled on my natural lashes hard enough that it was painful. Instead of apologizing or checking to make sure I was okay, one technician raised her voice and told me not to move--even though I had not moved at all. That interaction left me feeling blamed for something that wasn't my fault and made an already uncomfortable experience much worse. A simple apology and kindness would have gone a long way. I do want to recognize the technicians who consistently provide exceptional service because they deserve the credit. Sophia and Selina are outstanding. They are professional, gentle, highly skilled, and always make me feel comfortable. They take pride in their work, communicate respectfully, and provide the kind of customer experience that keeps clients coming back. If every technician and staff member reflected their level of professionalism, this would easily be a five-star business. This review is not meant to attack anyone personally. It is honest feedback from someone who has invested a lot of time and money into this business and genuinely wanted to continue supporting it. Excellent technical skills are only one part of running a successful beauty business. Respectful communication, professionalism, accountability, and making clients feel valued are just as important. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously because there is tremendous potential here. I normally get my lashes done while I'm down in SJ. It's cheaper and there are more options closer to home there. This time, I needed to get them done before a trip and I wasn't going to be down in SJ for quite some time. Found Change and decided to check them out since I'm in Outer Rich and this isn't too far. Making an appt is easy and no CC needed to secure. The lash tech Rachel is a sweetheart. I asked her what type of fans she uses and she actually makes her own. I thought that was kinda cool. Bespoke lashes! I don't have a lot of lashes and they are thin, so my appt took the standard 1.5 hours. Less actually. I sometimes have reactions to the glue used at other spots. That didn't happen here. My eyes were sting free. I'm used to leaving an appt looking like I have lash blindness as a lot of them fall out in the first few days or so. Once past that point, they normally look good. I didn't need to deal with that here. Hardly any fallout. And they still look pretty good today, like a month later. With all the discounts mentioned above, I think the price of my appt was $159 something, so just under $160. That's actually comparable to the prices I pay in SJ. I just gave her $200 to include tip and called it a day. I thought lash fallout was just a part of getting extensions. Glad I discovered Change. Showed me how quality lashes can be. However, my last visit left me a little disappointed because while it was extremely relaxing and the service was great, I'm not so happy with how my actual nails turned out :-( I did the Volcano Spa service for both my pedicure and manicure which were absolutely lovely, along with gel remove and gel on both my fingers and toes. The 10 minutes of massage for both were so nice, especially the shoulders and upper back that came with the manicure. But during the gel remove, the gel on my fingers was removed with the drill. It was the same on my toes but I don't have an issue there. Normally I wouldn't mind, but my natural fingernails were drilled down so thin that even though I cut my nails short, they're ripping at the ends with normal daily wear and tear. I went on Saturday morning and I've had two nails rip at the ends already and it is only Tuesday morning. I'm not sure if it was because I came in with long nails already (imagine asking for a medium-long set) and they may have been mistaken for gel-x or something of the sort, but it was just my natural nails with gel on top. I can even feel on all of my fingernails just how thin they were drilled down because suddenly all my nails are very flimsy, even with several gel coats on top. The rest of the service and experience were great, so it's a bit disappointing to feel like I regret how much I paid because of how weak my fingernails became after this appointment. Regardless I would still return in the future if I want the pampering experience, but if I can do without the massage and just need my nails done I may choose another salon instead. Just something to note if you're someone who is worried about your nail strength. UPDATE 8/4 9:48PM: Another nail ripped pretty far down just from scratching my head :-(

A very tasteful, custom design for an 11 y.o. They lasted almost 4 weeks but finally time to take them off. We made an appt for 2:30 today and due to Jenny not getting the message we had to wait about 30-40 minutes. Not the biggest deal, really nice out and our favorite boba spot just a few blocks down Polk St. When we got back the other woman in the shop started taking off the gels, they were taking a while to saturate enough to fully remove so the cotton with acetone and foil had to stay on longer. My daughter's fingers started burning and when we let them know, Jenny prompted the other woman to take a look. Not ready yet so while the owner was finishing up with another client this other woman needed to take care of it. At one point a customer had to ask this other woman to help my daughter, that she would kindly wait. It took over an hour to remove and clean up her nails, no manicure after. Two hours later my daughter's poor fingers are still burning. Jenny was quite apologetic and adjusted the price as a courtesy. We love Jenny but maybe she needs some more support in her shop.

I absolutely love Lisa's and recommend them to all of my friends looking for affordable lash extensions in the city. I found them through their Groupon deal and paid around $100 for a natural setting with silk lashes. Annie helped me figure out what style I wanted and recommended curls and lengths that she thought would look best on me. I loved the end result and got so many compliments on how good my lashes looked! I have been back twice for fills and have worked with Annie and Erin. Both of them are always so gentle with my lashes while also working so quickly. I always fall asleep during application and wake up with perfect lashes! The retention was best with my first full set; I got a fill after three weeks but still could've gone longer. My second fill was after two weeks, and this retention has lasted me another three weeks. I plan on coming back to Lisa's as long as I live in the city! read more

Now I've checked in three times if she needed card info to return, when would the refund be issued, and if she thought it would be around Thursday the 18th because that's five business days which is the general time for a refund. I got zero response as to find a solution to get my money and time back for an awful experience. Would not recommend and I am highly disappointed.
