The overall experience I have gotten from the staff to the Parents is amazing. They are all so kind, and the instructors are great. I have only been coming for a little over a Month now and am so glad our family decided to attend Dance here. We moved to temple three years ago and with two dancers we did a lot of research to find the perfect fit. We have found our family in Lisa's. Both of my daughters are in company in tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and musical theater, they have both done amazing in solo performances in overalls not just groups. They both are also en pointe in the advanced classes through the ballet conservatory. My youngest had the lead last ballet performance. Finding a place that mastered tap, jazz and ballet was tough to find but we did. My eldest daughter now works there as an assistant/teacher and loves it! I was referred by some friends at Pirtle Elementary School to bring my 4yr daughter to Lisa's Dance and it has been a wonderful experience. Lisa and her daughter Rachel along with all the staff are so loving and caring with the children. The families that have been here for years and those who are new to this are all genuinely caring. I look forward to my daughter attending her sessions every week. She's even going to perform her first dance recital in the spring 2022. I cannot recommend Lisa's Dance Connection enough. My daughter has been here 6 years and she has been stretched, encouraged, and challenged to improve her dance technique and skills, but it is the character, integrity, and love displayed by her teachers that I just have not seen anywhere. The encouragement and motivation and self-esteem they have promoted in my daughter are invaluable. Our daughter LOVEs Lisa's. We were unsure about how she would be in dance as she does have ADHD. We were reassured they could handle her. She was in a group for her age, younger children. Ms Sara was her teacher, but they also had 2-3 aides in the class to help the youngsters. My daughter learned a lot this past year. As well as helped with some balance and coordination struggles she had in the past. She even asked to do it this summer. We are looking into registering our son with Autism in the summer classes as well. read more

Very disappointed. We recently moved away from the area due to a job change. We had our daughter enrolled in this school for 2 consecutive years, both of her classes were taught by Lisa herself. In our new location, we enrolled her into a 3rd year tap class (since she'd take 2 years of tap with Mrs Lisa) and the difference is striking. I knew there was something amiss when at the second year tap recital show was pretty much the same as the first year. This third year class in our new location shows exactly how little our daughter actually learned at Lisa's. She knows perhaps 3-4 steps (and not even by their correct name) and had difficulty with proper positioning and foot movement. If only I'd know better, I would have looked further than Lisa's Dance. I suppose if you aren't friends with the owner, then your child doesn't get one of her special classes, where they actually TEACH the children, not just try and learn a dance for the recital to make the parents think they are getting their money's worth. Lesson learned, sadly. If you are looking for a fun time for you child, this is adequate. If you are looking for real dance instruction (and you aren't in the inner circle of Lisa's college friends) I'd look elsewhere. read more

We love Lisa's! We are currently practicing for a recital and we've been members for about 4-5 months and everyone is just so sweet! I have a autistic son and he's very loud in the waiting room and everyone's just so sweet with him. My children have had wonderful dance experiences at Lisa's Dance. I have never heard anything negative about Lisa's Dance and we have lived here a while!! I have heard positive remarks such as great teachers, modest outfits and appropriate music selections for competition and recital. Great instruction from all teachers and friendly staff! You can't beat the price for the experience, love of dance, and self esteem the kids earn from the lessons learned at Lisa's DC. My daughter is trying out for a high school drill team next year and couldn't have done it without Lisa and her staff. read more

My daughter has attended dance here since she was 3 - she is now 9 and on the competition team. We are not "friends" with the owner. As my daughter progressed, she was offered a chance for the competition team for the younger girls. She also enrolled in an additional hip/hop class. She has to work harder and longer and is required to take summer classes. When she was younger, I agree some of the dances were similar, but to me, that is Lisa focusing on the basics and trying to get the kids to master those before moving on. I've seen her older dancers who have been at the studio since they were 3, and they are incredibly talented! The younger competition dancers are only required to attend one competition per year, which I think is great. This year, they won 2nd place high point in their division. The team that won first place is a local team that requires the girls to practice at least twice a week, and they get in trouble if they miss a practice for some other extracurricular activity. Lisa isn't like that, which is one of the reasons I chose her studio. I want my daughter to want to dance, to want to go there, and not to be afraid or intimidated by "dance moms" and the instructors that foster a culture like that. I would recommend Lisa's Dance Connection to anyone in a heart beat over any other studio in town. read more

You know these reviews are either from people who love or hate a business. And since I saw an earlier review of disappointment, I want to add a rave review to counter that. I can't comment on someone else's experience, but our experience with Lisa's Dance was quite the opposite. When my daughters started at the studio, after taken in another state for several years, we found they were behind other girls of similar experience in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. The classes are structures so that a lot of is taught in a short period of time and they quickly caught up and are now performing with the dance companies. Lisa herself makes a point to go to many dance conferences every year so that she is up to date in the newest dance steps along with teaching techniques. Her teachers are the most experienced teachers of any studio I have been acquainted, most holding college degrees relating to teaching dance. You will not find your child taught by a teenager or young college student here as she makes sure her most experienced teachers always lead the class. But what I like most about the studio is that Lisa makes a point to choose costumes that are modest and age appropriate, and always makes sure the music is likewise clean and age appropriate. She really cares about her students and makes a point to know about them each personally, even if they aren't in one of her classes. I highly recommend this studio! read more
