First off let me start by stating I am absolutely obsessed with the owner Mrs Tab! She is so sweet and helpful every step of the way! My 4 year old had Ms. KitKat and my 7 year old had Mrs. Bain and I am so thankful for their patience and kindness towards my girls. Learning ballet at any age can be a challenge but they made it so fun and disciplined! The girls also took hip hop and that was a joy to watch them learn and grow in dance! I'm only giving them a 2 star because my daughter liked her instructor. We did a 2 year old class. They would start a few minutes late and end a few minutes EVERY TIME. The owner and her adult daughters frequently bicker in the lobby. The owner and others gossip about other parents. My most recent time, my daughter had to use the restroom. When I took her back there, there was no toilet paper, soap, or paper towels. A male teenager up front said that they are going through it too fast so they won't be providing it and the owner gave me a toilet paper roll to bring back there but then said I had to bring it back. I then had to take my kid out to the car to use hand sanitizer. LOL. It's so sad, it's comical. I would use caution when deciding on this place. read more

My daughter is currently enrolled in her second year at spotlight. She is in the younger kids classroom (ballet/tap). She loves the classes, it took awhile for her to get into dance but after awhile she started to enjoy it. I had only been to one other dance style studio before and this was in much more organized and friendly. My daughter is 4 and truly loves coming to class, and has made many friends . Looking forward to the many more years we will have with spotlight. read more

This was our first year with spotlight. We started midyear due to us just moving here to Texas. I communicated with the owner before we moved here and she was so willing to help when we got here. When we arrived, my daughter started classes 3 days later! She loves her teachers and has really loved learning the Art of Dance! This studio condones bullying and harassment of girls on the team. The directors are constantly pushing favoritism in their teams, and allow negativity when done by the favorite. This studio is a waste of time and effort, and we will never be coming back. They also show no effort when I brought up the concern about the harassment & bullying. Do not go waste your money in this TOXIC environment. You will regret putting your daughter/son in a place where they feel resentment & jealousy. Nothing is done , and zero change will happen because of the politics played by the people who have been here for "years". If you are a new comer , beware. They will try & befriend you, but keep in mind they are using you. DO BETTER Lastly, the studio quite literally tolerated bullying to the extent that 15 year olds would cry & they'd dismiss it. I'm not disclosing my name for safety reason- the harassment I would get from this studio simply isn't worth it, nothing is worth this studios time. (They're just that awful. ) read more

Spotlight dance company constantly tolerated bullying and harassment. As a victim, I endured a year of bullying on the level four team. As professionals, you'd think the "owner" would step up and assert her authority to say "no this is wrong" but that simply never happened. Many acts of bullying would be dismissed because the person doing the bullying was respected amongst many. I'm not sure why any sane person would look up to someone who manipulated an entire studio to turn on one girl for no reason, but I digress. After I left the studio, the company took it upon themselves to block my personal account on all of their social media pages. How is a "professional" studio going to block a minor on social media for no reason at all? In addition, they revoked my rights to perform at the Las Vegas competition because I had box braids on. (when I was still a member at the studio.) Mind you, judges do NOT deduct points for "concision" UNLESS the dancers' hairstyle is a distraction. At the competition, hundreds of black girls wore their hair in a bun even though they had box braids in. If this was such a "problem" then wouldn't you think that studios who qualified to dance at the FINAL COMPETITION would know these "strict rules?" But that's the thing.. the rules don't exist.. Because what matters... is that you have the style: a bun. In which case, I did have. The studio director told me to remove my box braids and I will be able to perform. To think that a studio in a predominantly black area would know that to remove box braids in 1 hour is impossible..guess not. The director herself allowed the bully to speak in front of my mom and I, claiming she told us (the bully) that box braids weren't allowed "2 weeks before competition." This is simply false. Who are you (a student at the dance company) going to talk to a grown adult like you're management? You're not, you're a minor who should have never gotten the chance to exhibit such authoritative behavior when you're a child. But once again, the director let the bully yell in our faces and didn't say a word. The amount of misinformation the bully fed to the entire studio is beyond me. Wasting the money to fly to Las Vegas, book a hotel, and eventually not get to dance for unjustifiable reasons is ridiculous. Did I also mention the girls would make group chats and harass me? The studio director didn't care about the wellbeing of the victims the bully harassed. If you're thinking of joining this studio, just know that it tolerates bullying, harassment, and micro-aggressions. I did leave a review a few years back, but they harassed me via text because I didn't use my real name. Be weary about joining this studio. Free will is very limited and you'll most likely be manipulated. The studio despises people who speak up against such heinous acts. I guess that's why they didn't like me: I spoke up against the bullying rhetoric. Save your money and time and look for another studio in the Killeen area, thank you read more

I am a dancer at Spotlight Dance Company. I personally think that is a great place to dance. I have been there for 2 years and I am excited for the years to come. While I have been there I have never seen so many dancers and teachers with this much love and passion for dance. I have been to many dance studios all over the United States from moving so often. This one has by far been the best experience ever. The people are great. The dancers are amazing to hang out with. And the teachers are amazing. The director is awesome. She has been very encouraging and supportive with everything. I love dancing here and I can't see myself dancing anywhere else. read more

Ok nos that se can leave reviews I know the family and the owner . My daughter started with Tabatha long long years ago when their studio Dance Xtreme closed down back in 2008. Lauren joined Tabatha and the group. She never felt better and I was amazed how much support we all gave to not only Tabatha working so hard but even the girls support one another the mothers .She is amazing and her family, So many hard years paid off. Very proud of your success and accomplishments.. To the Lemacks family they are a very known family and your child is in good hands.. if you have any doubts this women will do anything for the kids. She used to be one of us her daughters were in a Studio as well that's a plus. Very understanding she was a dancer as well and Her daughters are one of the greatest dancer .. My daughter goes to this studio and we love it! She has previously danced at Studio 203 and Gabrielles in Temple. Spotlight has brought her so far. She has made so much progress and loves the studio. The coaches are fabulous and really love the students. We are so excited for the upcoming season!! read more
