We enjoyed our brunch today. I had the low carb egg white omelette with a Piña. The Piña wasn't particularly strong, but I enjoyed that it was on the rocks vs frozen. My Dad had the low carb omelette and my hubby had the Western omelette with the spicy Bloody. He said his drink was enjoyably spicy, but not too strong. The food was good and filling. The taste wasn't excellent, but it was enjoyable. I enjoyed sitting outside while under shade. The other two in my party felt hot; I thought it felt great. Our server, Dallas, was very friendly and responsive. The owner, Lisa, sat us and reviewed the menu with us. It was an enjoyable brunch! read more

Hidden gem in Madeira Beach. Very limited hours, 9-2 with being closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Great experience, everyone was super kind and sweet! Gave great recommendations on what was popular or what tasted good. The biscuit and gravy is soooo good! Spicy but so good! Also super affordable being right in the tourist heavy area. The rudest!!!! Open tables everywhere but apparently not for four people and wouldn't let us sit at a 6 top. At the same time another 4 ladies came and she wouldn't let them sit at the table either but wanted us to all (as strangers) squeeze into a 6 top (8 adult people) then when we told her we were uncomfortable she Proceeded to embarrass us in front of all the tables, referring to us as princesses! Absolutely terrible service. Immediately scolded for trying to walk into the establishment asking us to wait and back-up out of the patio area. Waited patiently as the line grew longer. After a few minutes, a lady......assuming the owner came through with grocery bags since she obviously wasn't prepared for the day to serve customers. As she went inside, and came back out, she bypassed my girlfriend and I and immediately asked the people behind us where they wanted to sit. The fellow potential patrons stared at us, held their arms up and said, "They were here first." The potential owner said, "Well if any of you want faster service, you'll have to sit inside." She acted like a complete moron and could not decide which table to have any one sit at. We decided on the only logical table that was outside that could seat two people. After seating ourselves and waiting since we were told to, we got to wait even longer. In fact, it gave us the opportunity to find an even hidden gem, the Frog Pond! Long story short, the assumed owner has a bad attitude and could obviously care less about who's visiting her establishment. Terrible service all the way around. Don't let the name "cafe" full you. This is an from-scratch gourmet joint. I was expecting your normal greasy spoon but that it was not. As soon as you walk in, Lisa herself greets you and makes you aware that nothing is store bought and they make it all themselves. She also highly encourages you to order an adult beverage but we did not lol Food was really good. No complaints there at all. We were not looking for anything fancy so just stuck with a breakfast sandwich and egg/bacon/home fries plate. The double shot Mango Mimosas and the Bloody Mary are $9 you're not going to find that price no where on the beach. For breakfast I had the cheese grits, corn beef hash and a fried egg. My husband had the fried egg, sausage and pancakes (they were to thick but good. My sister had the corn beef hash omelette and my brother-in-law's had the French toast (so good). Everything was well seasoned and delicious. Didn't post pictures of the food because I was so hungry (the wait for our food was long). I would say don't come in here if you're in a hurry, this is a true relax atmosphere and is worth the wait. Plus the food is fresh and the presentation is everything. read more

Solid! That's the experience in a nutshell. Located just across the street from the Barefoot Beach Club, my lady love and I ordered two different breakfast entrees and shared them. We agreed that the food was delicious. The black coffee I ordered was likewise a flavorful entry. A manager.. or perhaps owner prowled about and ensured the quality of the meal met her standard. Sat on patio. -Long wait for food, 35 min for eggs dishes. -Observed 3 out of the 10 occupied tables complain to staff about their food. - Someone else's order was dropped off at our table... -2 older gentlemen were waiting 10-15 min for a table, even though one was cleaned and empty. Heard the waiter tell them "sorry no one told me you were waiting". -Our waiter was inattentive. Not rude, but unfriendly. FOOD - Had the eggs & hash, with cheesy grits. Nothing to write home about. - We ordered an egg sandwich on an English muffin (instead of croissant), English muffin was VERY soggy and barely toasted. Ironically the rye toast that came with the eggs & hash was ROCK HARD. ATMOSPHERE -Patio looks cute as you drive by. But when you sit down you notice the music is a bit loud. PLUS there is a LOT of traffic noise. Our waiter couldn't hear us a few times, and vice versa. NOT at all a relaxing atmosphere. As Ryan O posted, you want to support the industry in these times. We arrived here 10am for breakfast to quite a few empty tables. Greeted by a nice lady but she seemed a little frantic & rushed. She took our name & told us to wait on the sidewalk. After 5 min we watched another table of 4 walk right in and get seated. When I walked back in to question this I was cut off before I could even finish my sentence. The male server at the front was extremely rude and said that our name was called and we missed it. He had quite the attitude and didn't offer any apology or solution for us still getting a table.
