But they are so so so good. They are calm and relaxing and put you at ease. They also don't seem to push things you don't immediately need. They are honest and kind and even have their own form of dental insurance plans which is amazing.

Even after explaining the criticality of our situation in which my mother has no capacity to do this by herself on the island, the staff in this office just kept putting up road blocks such as fill out this form, you can't pick up her x-rays, "admin fee"...You'll have a better time calling the IRS for help with your tax prep than dealing with these folks.

It was after the cleaning when they ask you to wait for the dentist. I waited about 30 minutes for the dentist in the chair. Literally took a nap. I waited for the dentist to tell me... no cavities looks all good. Mind you the 30 minute wait. You can tell something is not right. Next I waited to pay and leave. I sat in the waiting room for about 15-20 minutes. While listening to someone else with issues that were not being resolved. I looked at my watch and noticed I have got to get my day started. I can't wait all day. The reception area had a majority of people that I saw when I got in at this point they were here for over an hour too. Do I left the office thinking they would contact me for billing. Feeling like this is no longer the place for me to be because it was never like this before. One year ago. I went to seek a new office. Found one! I then called the island smiles office 3 times in one week to get records transfer or figure out how to get it done. I got no call back at all! Then on the 4th try explaining what I needed they said I have to go in person. "Not a problem " I go there in person to get th documents signed knowing I did not pay because reception was overwhelmed. Remind you I have dental insurance and I went in for a cleaning and X-rays were taken. The receptionist says oh looks like you owe us money. I said yes I walked out the other day because you were busy. And she tells me point blank with no expression you owe us like $597 as i exclaim... for a cleaning? She then says no for the X-ray. She then dismisses herself only to come back with a new figure. This time not even close. $12 that's it. Why all the drama to get a service that is pretty standard? He was surprised when I told him that was the reason I had come to him. Before he came in, the assistant proceeded to take a FULL set of x-rays of my teeth. I told her that my teeth were not what I was there for, but she said she was told to do this. When he did show up he could offer no advice for my TMJ issue. So they charged me over $400 for nothing! Beware!
