Our room was clean, comfortable, and the beds made it easy to get a great night's sleep. There was a slight "old smoker" smell when we first walked in, but once we turned on the air conditioner it quickly disappeared. After we got settled, we honestly didn't notice it again. Although we didn't get to use the pool because we were in town for a tournament and forgot our swimsuits, the pool and patio area looked inviting and well maintained. I did use the fitness center, and I was genuinely impressed. It's one of the first hotel gyms I've visited that had everything needed for a solid workout without making me want to find a local gym. It was small but thoughtfully equipped, exceptionally clean, organized, and all of the equipment was in great condition. Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. Instead of just the typical hotel buffet, they had a staff member at the breakfast station preparing and serving the hot foods, which was a really nice touch and made the breakfast feel a bit more special. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely look for this hotel chain again the next time we travel.

Complimentary breakfast with a friendly omelet cook. REAL eggs! A weeknight happy hour with swill wine but, hey, it's free and it is a nice thing for a hotel to offer. The shower is hot. CONS: Unfortunately the entire reason I'm in a hotel is that I need a place to get a good 6-8 hours sleep, and this was not that place. The mattress was an ever shifting bowl of mush accompanied by super lumpy pillows. Even if I preferred a soft rather than firm mattress, this was more like soft that had been dropped on the freeway and run over by a few trucks. After the first night I went to the desk to ask if all the rooms had the same mattresses and was told, "Yes. I'm sorry." So I requested a sheet change because the sheets smelled like sweat. (The changed ones also smelled used) So after several backaches and limited sleep, I hope to warn others that if you don't love a super soft, no support mattress with sweaty stinky smelly sheets and large lumpy hard pillows, perhaps this isn't the hotel for you.

They are so kind and made sure our stay was a pleasant one. The hotel itself is right on the sand. There's beautiful views all throughout the hotel and from the rooms. The location is perfect and close walking distance from many great dining spots. You want to walk whenever possible because parking is a bit stressful and walking allows you to enjoy all that Laguna Beach has to offer. One of my favorite things about the room was being able to open the windows and sliding door to the beautiful ocean breeze. It's the best! (We couldn't do that for a portion of our stay because a couple of the neighbors continued to smoke. Not the hotel's fault because it is non-smoking but we were bummed that we kept smelling it in our room.) The room was nice, quaint and clean in general. For the price per night, I would say it might be due for some up keep just from normal wear and tear, such as new pillows and things like that. It wasn't super fancy or anything but the location of it offered beautiful views! The hotel and staff are lovely overall. We would genuinely stay here again.

Upon arriving, parking lot is $16/ per night the cheapest other than free and it wasn't in a parking structure, checking in was fast since it was a digital check in so room key was available. The room were clean, they just didn't do a very good job at deep cleaning because we found a used ear swab underneath the sink in the bathroom. The double queen beds were very comfy, especially after a very long day at Disney, lots of pillows and the room were also spacious (You can literally sleep 6 people with the sofa bed) and love that is a kitchen and fridge, microwave area to reheat the snacks and food. Just wanted to pointed out that there IS NO USB-C CHARGER PORTS and they do not carry USB-C blocks downstairs, they do however have USB charging ports in the room and lots of it. So don't forget to bring your USB-C chargers and blocks for your phones and whatnot. I hope future guests are aware of this and save you some $$$ (They were selling blocks for $30 and no charging cables by the way) Breakfast are from Monday- Friday 6am-9am Saturday and Sunday 6am-10am Typical American breakfast, eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash brown, cereals, toast, muffins, bagels, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, oatmeals BUT they do have overnight oats and chia pudding with oat milk. Fresh fruits, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, teas and hot coco mix. Lots of places to sit and they do have a bar but it wasn't open in the morning of course. I know I read some previously reviews of one stars but to each of their own, in this stay we did not interact with team members since we did a digital check in and we came after a long day at Disney (We got here at 11pm) Overall, can't complain, hoping to book again in the future.

Antonio told me, I must have allergies. He offered to have the sheets change and said housekeepers can do a deep clean of the room the NEXT day. I had 2 "deep clean" days done to no avail. Everyday I waa getting a new bite. When I asked for a new room, I was told 431 waa available but, while I was out to celebrate a friend's birthday for lunch my NEW room was given to someone else. When I was transferred to Rm 432 the following day, I inspected the room& found stained sheets& towels, dirty towels& drawer PLUS black sesame seed looking things on the bed cover& drawers. When I showed the houseman, he said the black sesame looking things are from our laundry. Housekeeping then cleaned, vacuumed& change the sheets. I woke up the following day with new flea bites in my front torso. I counted 17 bites total during this stay. I asked to speak with Celine& Antonio about the problem but no one spoke or called me back as I was promised. It was only after I left a message to the general manager that Antonio spoke to me. He offered no compensation nor was an incident report filed. As a matter of fact, they admitted a new guest in Rm 406 immediately after I asked for them to have the room inspected for flea infestation. Sad to say other guests& their pets can get bites too.

Did you have a rather noisy AC unit but only when it was cycling to cold the room. Breakfast was included. I'd probably get the breakfast only about two stars but Service at breakfast was good. They did have eggs only pork sausage packaged out now apples bananas, oranges and juice breakfast is served 7 AM to 10 AM. Check out is 11 AM. The room also smelled very musty, and to make matters worse, we woke up with multiple bites on our legs that looked like they could be from bed bugs. We were so uncomfortable and concerned that we could barely sleep. Now we're worried that we may have brought bed bugs home with us. When we brought our concerns to the front desk, the employee told us there was nothing she could do and that we needed to email the manager. We emailed the manager and still have not received a response. This is completely unacceptable, especially for paying guests. At the very least, management should acknowledge the situation and address serious cleanliness and pest concerns. Do better and take care of your guests. I would not recommend staying here.

The rooms are comfy and roomy and we love having our own kitchen for cooking and reheating food. There's a full-size fridge with freezer, two-burner inset cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans, dishes and bowls, two knives, towels and dish soap, cutting board, and silverware. The chef's knife is super dull but we still used it. They also allow you to get a free breakfast from their dining room AND the adjoining Hampton Inn's dining room. Lots of great hot and cold choices! Recently, I got jasmine rice and carnitas, and my hubs got a Western omelette with a flour tortilla and salsa. Delish! Kudos to the management and the cooks for giving us such good food options. We visit South OC a few times a year, and next time we do, we will stay again at Homewood Suites!

We hit the water playground and pools and stay there for 4 to 5 hours! They have wading pool, a mini pool that goes up to 5 feet, which is very heated, then they have a huge Olympic size pool, which is colder but feels good. They also have two Jacuzzi one for kids and one for adults. They do have a restaurant called citrus Grill, which you do need to order but then you can bring it out to the pool deck and eat. We did order from there and the food was great. The food price is high, but that's just typical of any hotel and you're really paying for convenience. But the food was delicious. I would say the amenities of this place is amazing because they also have an amazing gym which unfortunately I was not able to use since I was doing a staycation with my seven year-old. They do have a kids club, but you have to pay $40 for an hour. My son really didn't wanna do it so I skipped the gym this time. But definitely next time I wanna check out the gym because it looks amazing with so many different classes and just really nice facility. The nice thing also is that you can use the amenities once you check out and then they have locker rooms or we can take showers and get dressed and then head home! We got a two queen bed, hotel room, and it was very nicely designed, very clean, and very comfortable beds. The only odd thing is that the shower is a standup shower and there's no door so just be prepared for that They have a Starbucks, a full bar and a restaurant on property. Also what I love about this location is there is a huge shopping center nearby which also includes a bowling alley. So we spent the day at the pools and then the afternoon we went bowling! It was a great time. Now is it worth $450 for one night? I would say it seems pretty standard for this area and summertime and all the amenities that's included. Would I stay here again? Oh for sure. My son was so entertained and he was so happy!

Sarah, who made up drinks on the spot, and they were delicious . Levi, Sam, and Taylor thank you for great service both nights. To Danny, the cook lead. I want to highlight this gentlemen and give a special thank you for the ginger ale drink for my stomach. Danny saw me at breakfast downstairs in pain and took it upon himself to go to the bar and had a special drink made for me. By the time I was finished with breakfast, my pain and nausea was gone. It is that kind of hospitality that makes people want to travel and experience new places. A thousand thank yous Danny. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The pillows by the way were the most comfortable. They also had small windows that open from the bottom. Fresh air is the best! I found a smoking area across from the front entrance of the hotel. It is surrounded by beautiful trees and a small bench. The hotel has a parking structure for parking, No charge, just park on the 2nd floor. I cant wait to come back to this hotel. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Other Hotels take notes! Hospitality at its finest! I would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks staff!

She explained all the hotel's amenities. In addition to the room charge, a $40 resort fee got us: 1. On-site parking; 2. Welcome sangrias; 3. Chocolate chip cookies each night; 4. A European styled breakfast each morning from 7am to 10am; 5. Wi-fi; 6. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Parking in Laguna Beach is a premium, so parking at the resort was great. The city of Laguna offers a free shuttle with a bus stop almost in front of the hotel. So we parked our car and took the shuttle all over town. The property is a well maintained, quant renovated 26 room Italian style resort. It's clean, charming, and has lots of character. It felt nice being at a small property and not at a large commercial hotel. We felt like we were back in Italy on vacation again! Just walking past the front of the hotel, you would not know that there is a luxury resort inside. They have a heated swimming pool (83 degrees), a sauna, and a secluded sun bathing lounge area and several other amenities. We opted for the heated wellness treatment which is a jacuzzi hot tub for two with mineral water. But they also offer single and couples messages and other message therapies. They have a quant internal courtyard for dining as well. We enjoyed a great European breakfast each day which was well prepared, fresh, healthy, and served by great hostesses. We especially liked the frittatas, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee, and iced cold lemon water. The property is a historic landmark, so it doesn't offer handicap accessibility. So if you or someone in your group is in a wheel chair or uses a walker then this property won't work for you. Overall we really enjoyed staying here and would definitely go back again.

The service was excellent and can see that staff takes great care and attention to making sure everything is taken care of. We very much appreciated all the amenities this inn had to offer such as the welcome drink, evening cookies (delicious!), sauna, sunblock at the pool, towels, lovely breakfast.. all complimentary (breakfast with resort fee). We also appreciated the 10% military discount. We stayed in room 23 which was a standard queen bed with garden view and liked that spot because it felt central, private, and quiet. The room is on the smaller side but it was fine. It does not have a fridge but they provide an ice bucket. We ended up putting our bottled waters on top of the AC box and that kept it cool. Being that the inn is beautifully historic, there weren't many outlets inside the room. The bath robes were very plush. Both lamp shade knobs didn't seem to turn properly but we made it work somehow. Otherwise, we felt well taken care of throughout our stay and so glad we came. Aside from the inn, there is a walk to get to Victoria Beach. We walked south along Coast Highway to Victoria Place and found the underpass from there. We also took the free trolley outside of the hotel to get around town. It could be quite a wait for the trolley as we waited 30 mins. There is a QR code on the sign to track the trolley locations.
