    Gym (11/11/24)
    Ruthie B.

Very friendly staff, clean hotel and great location. This hotel has one of the nicest gyms I've seen. Plenty of coffee shops in the area - Starbucks is about a 10 min walk away and Wall Writers is about 5 mins walk. The area felt very safe.

View from the entryway with the front desk on the left, seating area in the middle, and bar/spacious restaurant to the right.

Full disclosure, I did not stay in this hotel however... I did go into the parking lot and lobby because I needed to use the EV go fast charging station for my electric vehicle in order make it back get home. I had to go into the private parking lot which meant getting a ticket stub at the gate. Now, for fear of having to pay to park there just to charge my car for 45 mins, I reluctantly went to the front desk to tell them my situation. I was so grateful to hear that their policy for people who just need to use the EV go charging station, is to validate their parking ticket so they can leave without having to pay the parking charge. Now that's, hospitality and top-notch customer service right there. Love it. Plus the spacious welcoming lobby was so lovely to be in and walk around. I had a great view of another area where their pool is and a nice Astroturf area with a ping-pong table and a few set ups for the game cornhole. Id definitely stay here the next time I need a hotel in the Irvine California area.

The checkin, stay, checkout was seamless. It helps to have the app ready for faster service. They were able to accommodate us with a microwave in our 2Q room free of charge. The Bistro restaurant was perfect and convenient for our dinner needs AND Starbucks caffeinated beverages. The food was overall fabulous! Thank you much!

    Breakfast quesadilla

My husband and I had back to back events in the area, so we got a hotel room. Everything was great. Room was clean, and we enjoyed a bottle of wine from the bar at night. The next morning we had breakfast quesadillas and they were delicious. This is a very convenient location being right next to the Spectrum. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great hotel! The hotel shares a parcel of land with the Marriott Hotel and a joint driveway. Both hotels have paid parking in their private lots Courtyard is $16 a day for hotel guests I stayed 5 nights in a double queen room. The luggage cart tires needed air so it was really hard to turn a fully loaded cart with near flat tires It had a great bathroom with a large walk in shower with the new drain you can't see It has a frameless large shower door as well One sink with a large counter Modern decor & the front desk staff are helpful A very small fridge, no freezer No microwave Single serve coffee maker, not a kuerig The TV is great and plenty large for the room Samsung and has free HBO and also streaming like Netflix and YouTube you can log into your own account The pool is fantastic, salt, large and clean There are 4 free cabanas first come get them Lots of comfy lounges around the pool and pool towels There's No in room safe which used to be standard at a courtyard A safe is available at front desk Update stayed another 2 nights in a 2 room king suite with a kitchen too & has a microwave The suite also has a kuerig and the standard rooms have just a regular single serve coffeemaker The sofa bed is old style metal frame with thin mattress Horrible! I was surprised it wasn't the newer pullout memory foam type they use at some marriotts and the vacation clubs It's nice having two TVs with the suite and being able to close off the bedroom which is a great large bedroom This hotel has the best AC and thermostat I've had at any hotel in memory This hotel is fantastic Sunday through Friday morning but weekends, especially in summer are full occupancy and it's chaotic. Saturday night the hotel was so full that about 10 vehicles had no parking space & were parked at the entrance door where you normally pull through & double parked in other areas We returned about 11 pm from laguna pageant of masters and there were 3 vehicles circling already with no spaces & my boyfriend had to just get his suitcase and go home. There is no in street parking in this area They only available parking were several handicap spaces of course unused and we couldn't risk a $250 fine We loved this hotel except during the weekend, it was relaxing and clean. Weekends there are too many people A high school water polo team was allowed to literally run Thru the lobby area practically knocking down my 4 year old grandson They were loud & running Thru busy hallways without a care like wild horses set free with Poor and no supervision though I saw their coach ignoring them and talking on his phone. This is probably seasonal. So I've given you the good and the bad about this hotel Overall it's clean quiet Newer with modern facilities and High ceilings & we loved our stay. We stayed in 3 room types over our multiple week stay A standard 2 queen room, and oversized 2 queen room, & a king suite with a separate living room & mini kitchen Only the suite has a microwave oven Over the 3 weeks we were in So CA we stayed at several Marriott hotels and this was our favorite!!! We cancelled our last 4 nights with Costa Mesa Marriott because we stayed there already and didn't like it and rebooked this hotel for our last week. We did like the Avenue Of Tmr Arts Tribute hotel by Marriott but it has a parking garage only so that's a consideration. Lastly a warning The parking lot gate check machine rarely works with room key So you need to press call button. This seems to be fixed this week So room key works to open gate

Had the best weekend getaway here! One of the best Courtyards I have ever stayed at. It was easy to come and go from the parking lot as well. The hotel gym was top tier and open 24 hours. The pool is also heated and they have a jacuzzi too. The lobby lounge area is pretty amazing, had the rustic/cabin vibes going. The bistro cafe was perfect for a light breakfast. They also serve Starbucks, big plus! The bed in the room was the comfiest and we had the best sleep EVER! Highly recommend this hotel!

Booked a two night stay for my son a s I after he just came back from a 9 month deployment with the Marines. So we wanted a quiet place with a good pool and no too far from Camp Pendleton. I was super impressed with the front lobby when we came in. Great customer service and very nice lobby. They put us on the 5th floor which was nice. When they say check in at 4pm they really mean it. We got there at 3:15 and were told to come back. A little disappointed because most times hotels will let you in a little early. We really liked the layout of the room. He was super impressed and said one of the nicest hotels he's stayed in. They lost a though when we found long hairs on the walls of the shower. It was very obvious so housekeeping should have noticed IF they cleaned they shower. The pool was awesome. Big and lots of lounge chairs along with umbrellas. I would definitely come back.

Stayed two nights and enjoyed my stay. We checked in pretty late at night, around 10:30pm and front desk personal was very nice. We were assigned on the top floor facing the pool. Room was spacious, clean, and modern. There is no room cleaning service due to covid, but you can request towels and anything else you may need and it will promptly be delivered. Did not get a chance to use any of the amenities or restaurant, but it looked good. I'm happy to recommend this hotel to any family or friends for there stay when they are in the area.

I decided a few days prior, I wanted to stay an extra night. They were able to message me and informed me I could book another reservation for the additional night and they would make sure I stayed in the same room without having to check out, which they did. Upon check in, you enter the lobby which has a large variety of seating and a bar. They do have a happy hour menu which I thought was great. They do also offer complimentary breakfast in the morning. It looked pretty popular by the amount of guests that would pop in for breakfast. The room itself was clean, spacious and I loved the whole kitchenette. They have a a small gym that is available 24 hours, and a pool. Parking is $28 per night, but given that you are literally central to everything, I didnt mind it at all. Usually in the mornings you hear vacuums going and the commotion of room cleaning going on, which can make it hard to sleep. I didnt hear a thing! I also love that you need your room key to enter the main entrance at night. Just a bonus security feature. Everything about my stay was great. I would most definitely come back!

There were pricier locations closer to where I needed to meet, but this Doubletree was close enough to be a short drive, affordable for my budget, and extremely high-class for a "mid-range" hotel. I did have to navigate even the short trip to and from the venue each day, but this is a reflection on Irvine's layout, not the hotel, which was fairly easy to find even in the dark. The parking lot seemed secure and well-lit, there were plenty of luggage carts, and the staff was amazing at all hours! I also appreciated their wide stairwells at the end of each hallway (elevators are smooth and centrally located, but I prefer the stairs when I'm empty-handed) and their spacious, well-appointed exercise room, which is open 24-hours to a room keycard. While I didn't get the name of the helpful clerk at the Blend Café Market (24-hour food, drink, and accoutrement shopping in the lobby), I did note Gilbert, my server at the in-house restaurant, who prepared my order with care and panache, and whose curiosity about my stay and my reason for traveling here began as reserved politeness, but warmed gently into friendly conversation when I opened that door for a minute. The giant breakfast burrito and fruit juice I ordered were terrific, and Gilbert made my morning stop a welcome experience, and not just a meal. Even more helpful was Denise at the front desk. Denise answered a slew of questions for me on the night I checked in (it was my first time at this Doubletree and in Irvine), and she made me feel like a longtime guest returning "home" after renovations, and not a first-time visitor who hadn't traveled anywhere for business in a while. I had more questions (and already a few compliments) the next night, and I sought her out again after her extraordinary service upon arrival. She was, if anything, even more helpful that time, and I requested her name to include in this review, as well as thanking her personally for all she did for me during my stay. Denise is an absolute treasure, and I hope the Doubletree management recognizes her the way she makes every guest feel seen, heard, and valued, too. In short, this was a wonderful experience, and I will certainly stay here the next time I come to Irvine for any reason!

It would seem most of the customers who stay here are business folks, who seem generally quiet, but it's the families that are traveling (for vacation or sports) that are hella loud and will keep you up at night. The location is convenient as far as proximity goes, but the immediate surrounding area is not the greatest for views. You are surrounded by all these industrious/chemical companies (Lubrication Scientifics is across the street, I think I saw Mitsubishi Chemical Group down the road too). You really don't get that beautiful Irvine/OC view from this place. You do feel like you're in Fresno or Bakersfield, or that area in Fremont, CA near the Tesla Factory. These rooms are suites with a kitchenette, it's not as spacious as Homewood Suites by Hilton but it's decently sized. The complimentary breakfast has been one of the better ones I've experienced at a regular hotel. They make fresh eggs to order which is wonderful (I've found most regular hotels generally don't and have scrambled eggs or premade omelettes), as well as fresh pancakes too. They have juices, coffees, and a self serve espresso machine (which was broken like 70% of my visit though it's not a great machine it starts breaking after like the 5th consecutive drink made from what I saw). The location, albeit not a looker, is very convenient traveling-wise. John Wayne is just down the street, so is Diamond Jamboree and Tustin District. The staff was pretty good, generally no complaints. I couldn't get an early check in but that was not their fault and more about just the timing and how booked they were which is understandable. You can check in your bags in the meantime. Would I stay again? Only if I could be guaranteed I wouldn't have noisy neighbors. They ought to really relook at the sound dampening of the building. Not that it's an easy task to do, but it really did lower my experience here. The walls and ceilings seem pretty hollow, I could hear so much.
