The assessment testing was very thorough. The staff has been kind during any conversations I have had with them. Dr. Lisa Davidson was kind during the two brief conversations I had with her. I don't know that I would recommend getting an assessment through this office. I have waited 6 months, since my last testing session, to receive my finalized report. It's been 2 months since my Zoom meeting with Dr. Davidson to discuss some of the results. I need the report so I can send it to the LTD company that pays my disability benefits. I also need to give the report to my lawyer for my SSDI appeal. I would like it for myself so that I can read through about my diagnoses. I have also been calling the office asking for my report, but no one will answer the phone. I have called so many times and never get a response back. What's the point of going through this process if I can't ever get my report. Edit: I just received a call from the doctor's office and a text from Dr. Lisa Davidson. I will now receive my report this evening. It was still a long time to wait. I'm grateful that they got back to me right away this evening. I'm happy that I will finally get the report! read more

Front desk was rather confused, feedback was lacking, when we got the report for our son it was riddled (my opinion) with errors, and as Dr. Davidson admitted on the phone, these were cut & paste error from some other patient. We had no confidence in the report after going over it. In our mind, what else was copied and pasted? He had never broken a bone, although the report said he had. For what it's worth, our son did not recognize Dr. Davidson on our follow-up call, but she claimed she had done the interviews with him, or at least some. He only knew her assistants. He's a pretty smart kid, and had no reason to lie. But, take it as you will. read more

What care? What quality of care? What office experience? Dr. Davidson came highly recommended by a friend, which is why I contacted the office in the first place. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Between January 7 and February 23, I made more than 15 phone calls and left multiple voicemails trying to schedule an appointment. During that time, I received only 2 return calls from the office manager, Roberta. She assured me that someone would follow up with me regarding my request for an appointment. Unfortunately, that follow-up never happened. As a prospective patient seeking medical care, I expected at least a return phone call and basic communication. Instead, my calls and messages went unanswered. It was especially frustrating because I was reaching out based on a trusted recommendation and was genuinely seeking help. No matter how highly recommended a physician may be, patients cannot receive care if they are unable to communicate with the office. This office has been unresponsive and difficult to work with. Dr. davidson seemed kind when I initially spoke with her. She told me to schedule an appointment with my primary Doctor asap, and that she will send me an email summary of results so that I can update my primary doctor and psychiatrist. I never heard from her again. Nothing was ever sent to anyone. I have not received my assessment report which is now late . I've called dozens of times with no answer or reply. I've texted and emailed , with no reply. . I went in person to the vista location and it was closed. The only response I've received was a phone call from an "amy" who said full reports take 6-8 weeks . And that she would call me back the next day. I never heard from her again either. This is not acceptable to just not respond to vulnerable patients who are depending on getting answers, help, and proper treatment. My son was tested with Dr Lisa Davidson at her Poway office the testing part went fine where the problems started was when we had an in person appointment to review the results the first appointment was canceled and then I was rescheduled and that appointment was also canceled the 3rd appointment was done over zoom she gave us results she had and told us we would received the written report for my sons Senior year to get him the help he needs well it's almost been a year since we started the process and still no report, this doctor has been paid by my insurance who I will be contacting next and if called I have text I left several messages and one someone calls me back it's so sorry you will get the report in the mail then nothing then we will email it to you and still nothing we will let doctor know and nothing don't know what comes next I will file a report with the board and I will go to our local tv station to let them know and finally I will hire an attorney it is ridiculous that we are coming up on one year do not go to this doctor avoid her and her two practices you will not get what you paid for wish I could rate zero stars read more

The doctor was kind and knowledgeable, and we felt the assessment was helpful. We really appreciated the time and care given during the appointment. However, communication with the office has been challenging. It's been difficult to reach someone to schedule a follow-up appointment, and calls or inquiries haven't been returned consistently. After about a month of trying to get in touch, I ended up leaving a review, and shortly after that, I did receive a call back. I understand that the office may be busy, but the long wait times--both for responses and for receiving the assessment results (around 12+ weeks)--can be frustrating. If I had known about these delays in advance, I might have considered other options. I believe the overall experience could be greatly improved with more timely communication, even if it's just a quick call back or update. Overall decent experience I had to wait several weeks for an appointment as they are pretty booked up for services My insurance referred me to this clinic for a psych evaluation I was hesitant based on the reviews but I was hopeful because my intake appointment was pretty good. I like how thorough they are with their questions and evaluation I tried to get the same evaluation elsewhere and the provider told me she could do it in less than an hour which felt strange to me since this location requires a full day of testing along with additional information So I stayed with this provider Yes the evaluation took all day about 9-430 and I'm still unsure how long it'll take to receive results since they send you several questionnaires After the testing which is very extensive But overall I enjoyed my experience The woman that conducted my testing was friendly and calm And while the receptionist is very long winded (talks a lot over the phone) I appreciate how thorough this office seems to be It was difficult for me to find the office I walked in circles before calling the office but once I called they were able to guide me up the stairs to the correct location read more

TL;DR: it's been six(!) months since I began the process of getting an ADHD assessment and I STILL don't have my results. I've been trying to get updates from them for close to 2 months now, and I'm still unable to do anything concrete to take care of my mental health because of their overwhelming lack of response. I've sunk so much time and effort into this, and it feels like no one here gives a damn about the health of their clients. I'm so tired. I just want my report. This place is full of empty promises. In April, I went to see Dr. Davidson concerning an ADHD assessment, as she was the only option I could use on MediCal. The original assessments on April 29 and June 10 went really well, and I was looking forward to our followup session on July 16. While driving to the followup session, I received a call explaining that the session would have to be delayed due to the report not being ready, and the meeting would be rescheduled for September 7th. I was a bit caught off guard with the short notice, but I understand that providers can get very backlogged with MediCal so I accepted the delay. Except once it came time for my September session, I received a call stating that my meeting with Dr. Davidson was canceled (due to billing changes with Community Health Group) and that Dr. Davidson would follow up with me over the phone after she emails me my assessment. So, now on October 26th, do I have my assessment results? NO. It's been close to 2 months since I was told I would receive my report, and I have still have no idea when I'll receive it. I've called in every week for the last six weeks, hearing every time that they would check back with Dr. Davidson, but I didn't even get a single update until October 10. At that point, I was told the assessment results over the phone by Dr. Davidson, and she told me that she would send over the report within the next 2-3 days after "giving it a final look-over". But since then, I'm back to the never ending loop of calling the office, being told they'll check with Dr. Davidson, and then eventually getting the same answer from her of "I just need to do one final pass over the report." Last week, she told me she'd get the report to me by the end of the week. I still don't have my report. Why make promises you can't deliver on? It's been almost HALF A YEAR since I first began this process and I'm honestly losing hope of ever getting any results that I can actually use to advocate for my healthcare. It almost feels worse since I was told my results on Oct. 10, because now I know I have a diagnosable condition but I STILL can't do anything about it because I don't have my report. I don't really know what to do other than continue calling in (and not get any answers anyway), and start filing complaints with the appropriate authorities. I've been ridiculously patient over the past six months, but I'm truly at my wits end. I don't even dream to ask for a referral at this point. I just want my report so that I can move on and figure the rest out on my own. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend seeing Dr. Lisa Davidson for an ADHD assessment. She explained that the Yelp reviews go directly to her, but when I call her office, email or text it is routed through staff. I came to the offices seeking out an autism assessment after years of strongly suspecting I might be on the spectrum. My mom helped me find Dr. Davidson, who had positive reviews, was covered by my insurance, and was known to diagnose autism in adults--which is a distinction I have been seeking out for a while. The entire process leading up to my meeting with Dr. Davidson herself seemed to be very extensive and thorough--more so than the majority of other diagnostic processes I've been through. I had a preliminary 30 minute online meeting to discuss why I was seeking a diagnosis, I came in person to fill out a very detailed packet, and received assistance and support throughout the process. The facility itself was calm, air-conditioned, and welcoming, and I felt safe and comfortable there. The staff were very communicative, affirming, and professional at every step. A few months in, when I finally got to speak to her (and not just other staff), Dr. Davidson even began the assessment with a grounding exercise that helped me feel more present in my body and ready to start the more difficult part of the testing. I was also asked if I wanted to take breaks throughout the testing, which I felt was a kind thing to offer. I want to acknowledge all of these positives because they stood out to me and reflected the high level of care that a large portion of the process offered. Unfortunately, my actual evaluation with Dr. Davidson was not a positive experience. While I came in explicitly seeking an autism evaluation, the conversation quickly and repeatedly shifted to my gender identity, medical transition, and even intimate aspects of my relationship. These questions felt intrusive, objectifying, and politically motivated rather than clinically relevant. When I became emotional and expressed discomfort, the questioning still persisted. I ultimately felt less like a patient being assessed and more like an object of curiosity, as though Dr. Davidson was using the appointment as an opportunity to ask invasive questions of a transgender individual. The fact that she departed from her prepared evaluation materials to pursue this line of questioning only reinforced my sense that these topics were irrelevant to the diagnostic process. To be clear, I am understanding when people lack familiarity with transgender issues or even make mistakes with pronouns; what troubled me here was not a lack of knowledge but the deliberate focus on my identity, whether or not my partner was attracted to me or not, and my gender affirming care--topics that had no bearing on the evaluation I was seeking. The final report also contained multiple pretty major factual errors, such as incorrect medications, missing the medications that I AM on, and misrepresented personal history. Dr. Davidson repeatedly described me as "confused" about my identity despite the fact that I've identified consistently as transgender for almost six years now. This framing felt biased, dismissive, and unprofessional. I went in to talk about my neurodiversity, not my gender. In addition, she made broad assumptions about my family dynamics--ones that she did not know many details about, because that is normally something you would learn about someone with time. These types of assumptions might be more understandable in the context of ongoing therapy with someone who knows me well, but for a provider I was meeting for the first time in the context of an autism evaluation, they felt pretty inappropriate, irrelevant, and out of place. Additionally, there were significant delays. My first assessment was on June 5th, but I did not receive my report until September 23rd in the middle of the day, despite both me and my mother reaching out multiple times through email and phone. This delay prevented me from being able to use the results in time to request accommodations for my college classes, which I had expressed to be a pretty major point in me getting my diagnosis in the first place. While I did ultimately receive a diagnosis that I believe is accurate, the evaluation left me with concerns about Dr. Davidson's professionalism and objectivity. The broader process and staff support were thorough and affirming, but the presence of personal bias during my assessment was unsettling. I would encourage others to be mindful about what personal information they share if it feels unrelated to their evaluation, and to consider whether another provider may be a better fit if timeliness and moral neutrality are priorities. With a more unbiased approach, I believe Dr. Davidson's services could be much stronger, as the rest of the process was thorough. Gender discrimination has no place in the psychological and medical field. *UPDATE: I received a message from the doctor herself asking me to take the review down, which is highly inappropriate. She also said that the entire experience I had was "my perception," which feels like a lack of accountability instead of an apology. read more

I came to Davidsons office after being referred by my Medicare (huge mistake on their part) my testing was in early April for ADHD and autism and my follow up appointment was scheduled on April 30th. It is now August 21st and this is now the second appointment they've canceled on me for to get my results back. (April 30th and August 20th apts canceled) It has been four months and I still have not seen my results despite reminding them in multiple calls throughout the months that I need the diagnosis to get a 504 plan at my college, a deadline which has now already passed. We had testing done in December and January, reviewed results over Zoom in February, Invoices and payments completed by March. We were told it may take 8 weeks to get written results however we have yet to receive anything and it's the end of July. I've called. I've sent emails. Edit: As you can see, there is a reply that says "if" I had reached out, I would have received a response -- but that's simply not true. I've reached out multiple times: I left a voicemail with the office and also messaged Dr. Davidson directly. It's been about a week with no response from either. If responses were truly being sent to everyone who reached out, I would've heard back by now -- which makes it clear that either I was overlooked or not everyone is actually being responded to. You shouldn't need to know who I am personally in order to reply. If communication was truly going out to everyone, there wouldn't have been an issue reaching me. Everything went smoothly with my evaluation at first--I was scheduled on time and the process itself went well. But when it came time to review my results, Dr. Davidson canceled the appointment due to a reported sick leave, which I completely understood. I was told she would contact me to reschedule and send over my results, but she never followed up. I had to reach out myself just to finally get the consultation. During that call, she said she'd send the written report, but it's now been over a month and I still haven't received it. I've followed up twice and even called the office, but haven't heard anything back. This kind of delay, lack of follow-through, and poor communication is really unprofessional--especially when someone is depending on these results for the next steps in their care. I called several times and spoke to her myself. she claimed that she wasn't sure if she accepted my insurance I'm transgender and I believe that this excuse was used to divert my treatment help. I called my insurance an they told me that she wasn't sure on their primary care provider list so she definitely took my insurance and was denying me help. (Illegal discrimination) she promised to call me back as soon as she found out about the insurance and then didn't call back at all. I waited patiently for over a month and made a few reminder calls over that month hoping to get the help that I have been needing. I don't recommend as this is against my anti-discrimination views and ethics. read more

Dr Davidson has helped me and my family more than words can express. She is a one of a kind Psychologist. The industry is not producing expertise and compassion like Dr Davidson. No one's Testing is more thorough than hers. Her report and recommendation opens doors for help and assistance in so many areas. She is an experts in the brain and yes it may seem long for the report but in my opinion worth the wait. This is not a boiler plate widget counting Doctor. Dr Davidson cares so much she doesn't compromise to rush a report. Now patients and parents are involved in a child's assessment as well. It is very through. Again Dr Davidson has helped us learn our brains and how to work with them. I got an appointment quickly, and subsequent testing in the following weeks. However, I have been trying to get a copy of my test results since November and was told by the front office to stop calling because she was not done revising it yet. It has been six months since our meeting where we discussed the results of my testing, and I have no proof of testing or results. I really don't like doing things like this or leaving rude reviews, but I am hoping this will work and I do not have to file an official complaint. Dr Lisa A Davidson cancelled an appt after I said I was going to record the meeting with my husband. I felt threatened. Last week, she told my husband that she was going to report CPS if I did not come in to meet with her. I called her right away. She never called me back. She sent a text with a smiley emoji. The scheduling is convoluted. She moved the meeting from 1 pm to 12:30 pm. I told her I have to be at a work. I had already made time for 1 pm. Then she cancelled the 1 pm on me. I wanted to have a better relationship with my husband. I love my husband of 30 years; I want to have a better communication skills with him. I want to find a solution to our problem. Threatening me to come to a meeting using CPS is unprofessional. Lisa was texting at 5:30 am is disrespectful. She was changing and cancelling the appointment with my husband and myself. Also disrespectful of our time. The office had him tested for his IQ, Stanford Binet. The test was from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm with half hour for lunch. During his half hour of lunch, the staff had him filled out more paperwork I did my homework, due diligence and researched this group. My gut instinct said it was bad. We went through 2 other marriage therapists Lilac Harris and Dr. Maxine Martinez. They were very helpful. They gave us concrete examples ... work together as a team. Show the 5 language of love. Be positive, positive, positive. They suggested going on dates. I would not trust this professional psychiatrist Dr. Lisa Davidson. read more

For those complaining about Dr. Davidson running behind schedule: a good doctor takes their time, so it wouldn't surprise me if she did run over, especially because my experience with her so far has revealed a professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable doctor - the kind of doctor that takes their time to make sure they've got a comprehensive picture of their patient so they can meet their needs. Just remember - that patient being seen or running late into your session could be YOU one day. Wouldn't you want the doctor to make sure all issues have been addressed before they let you leave? I'd rather have a doctor that didn't try to push as many patients they can see through their doors so they can maintain the satisfaction of the patients who don't understand that psychology and psychiatry are two types of healthcare that should NEVER be rushed. If you're going to complain about a mental health professional "running late with appointments," then you likely don't understand how mental healthcare works. It's not about the clock...it's about the stability and well being of the patient being treated. Think of those patients in the way you would want yourself to be treated. Would you want your mental health provider cutting you short if you're in crisis simply because they've got an appointment that was supposed to come after you and they're running a little late? I posted some pics of the reading materials they have available. Maybe pick up something to read and realize the world doesn't revolve around you...that others have just as much a right to comprehensive care as you would expect for yourself or your loved one. I've already admitted I'm incredibly nervous and I feel panicky, so sitting in a room waiting in empty silence doesn't make it any easier. However, I think all patients deserve medical CARE, not this revolving door we've grown accustomed to when it comes to managed healthcare these days. Not everything in life runs on 15 minute increments, and sometimes, things come up that are beyond your control. A mental health emergency could cost someone their life. If you having to wait around for a few extra minutes while some's life is potentially saved, then that's time well spent. You're also not due an explanation, unless you'd like to give up your right to your medical privacy too. Mental health isn't like your annual checkup...it's individualized, and imperative that it's done completely and correctly. After less than 5 minutes in the room, Dr. Davidson had to excuse herself to take an emergency call. I have to get back to my babies, and my schedule runs extremely tight, so I don't have time to spend hours here when I didn't plan to be here so long! It does make me feel nice that she cares so much about her patients that she would take their emergency calls though. Again, she could be saving someone's life...and when a doctor says they're dealing with an emergency, I doubt they're lying simply to slight you...seriously. I do hope she comes back soon, because I desperately need this assessment, and this is my chance to get this testing done once and for all to have everything I need to get assistance from the Department of Rehab, Disabled Student Services, and be able to make sure I am successful with my future endeavors. See...you can be impatient due to circumstances, and that's totally okay...but you need to temper that with some basic human compassion and maybe a little understanding of how the mental health world works. Dr. Davidson came back in the room, and she agreed that I need a full neuropsychological workup. I'm scheduled to begin next week, and I am so incredibly nervous, but excited at the same time. I'll have to come back once more after next week's appointment because the testing is done in two parts, but I'm on my way...and Dr. Davidson may have been a little late and may have left the room to attend to an emergency with a patient (which I actually respect her for - what if that patient were me?), but at the end of the day, she is submitting approval for my testing, and I'll be able to finally get on the road to getting the services I should have been accessing all these years. A little different than any other doctor I've ever seen...but I'm probably a little different than any patient she's ever seen, so I'm pleased with how this went. Dr. Davidson is kind, professional, thorough, and patient with people who have a hard time communicating with their mouths, like me. I'm adding Dr. Davidson to my list of good professional resources when it comes to treating adult patients, particularly those who are autistic. I was given Dr Davidsons office for therapy by the VA. The VA writes an authorization that allows you to seek care outside of VA facilities while they pay for it. I went to 4 sessions with Dr.D's assistant Dr Senecal. Dr Senecal is awesome. Great sessions with that guy. But he's not the boss. My authorization was cancelled out of nowhere one day. I called the VA and they told me that they never received verification from Dr Ds admin (apparently Roberta) that I was attending my sessions. I also have 3 letters from the VA saying that my auth was pulled because I never showed up to my appointments. I cleared things up with the VA and they told me to contact Dr.Ds office in ten days and everything will be good. So I wait, and I send Dr D an email about what's going on, asking her to check if my auth was good and I could go back to therapy. No reply for a week. So I figure oh well, it's one email. I forget emails. So I send a text message to her personal phone. Nothing for another week. In between all of this, my life falls apart and I've never needed therapy more in my life. Lost family members and friends during this time of being ignored. After no reply to two attempts, I get confrontational. I told Dr.D that I felt my mental health wasn't being taken seriously and that i was not a priority to them as a practice. She responded with a list of excuses followed by blaming me saying that I only reached out to her a week ago and she's too busy with patients to respond to my text messages about getting back into therapy. I send her screenshots of both attempts to reach out to which she finally starts to try to fix the situation. However I told her not to bother because I don't want to go to a therapist that doesn't make my mental health a priority. It's clear from the other reviews that this isn't her first time dealing with this. It's years of complaints that she is too busy and doesn't make time for her patients. If you are looking for a therapist that takes your mental health seriously and makes time to respond to you in times of need, do not go to Lisa A Davidson. She'll just give you a list of excuses why she was too busy to care about you. I do appreciate the attempt to fix the situation, but by that point I had lost confidence in someone I'm supposed to trust with my brain. Dr S should start his own practice with better organization. My family has been seeing Dr. Davidson for a few years now and we have had nothing but amazing experiences. We are a military family and both myself and my husband are Veterans. She has been nothing but compassionate and understanding. She has at times run late but that is understandable in her practice since not every patient is an easy one and mental health (especially due to the pandemic) has made her job even more challenging. If you think that she ignores you or that you are more important than someone else who is in crisis, then you are wrong. We are all going through mental health issues, hence why we are reaching out to her. Please be patient and understanding with those who are helping us. They are human too and have their personal lives to deal with as well. For the post on 2/22/2022, no one on this earth is useless, and mental health issues are some of the reasons why people feel this way. I'll start off by saying, read the reviews! Initial conversations with Dr. Davidson seemed pleasant and scheduling a time for her to evaluate my son was rather quick. Once we arrived to the 1st appointment, to my surprise, I was greeted by her Asst. Dr. Senecal and not Dr. Davidson. The second appointment was scheduled and completed May 4, 2022 (approximately 2 weeks later), also by Dr. Senecal. After several attempts (made my phone call and text) to collect my son's assessment report following his evaluation, here we are over two months later still waiting on this report. Dr. Davidson finally texted me (after repeated texts went ignored) letting me know that she will 'resend' the assessment report over the weekend (this was 2 weeks ago). She basically implied that she had previously sent it when in fact she did not. Fast forward to yesterday, I called and she ignored my call, yet immediately responded with "I am w a patient. Are you looking for the report?" First, she knew exactly why I was calling. Second, she proceeded to tell me that she will send the report to me and my son's pediatrician tomorrow morning (today). It is 1:29 PM and I have yet to see the assessment report. I finally engaged with my son's Case Manager in an effort to receive the report and she too, has been unsuccessful with getting the report. At this rate, I will probably never see the report.. I couldn't leave a review without giving at least one star or else I would have gave her nothing. Stay away from Dr. Davidson - she is very unprofessional and chances of her responding to you in a timely manner is not great. read more

Time for a good and detailed evaluation. On Monday, April 16, I walked in their office in hopes of getting a disorder diagnosis. I was asked about my past medical records and of course I gave it to them as part of their "process". Somewhere along the line they misinterpreted my thoughts and from there I was sent to the ER. Worse part was that I didn't allow me to explain myself. I can prove that this ER admittance was pointless as I was released a day later because I was completely fine. What I disliked was that they do not care for you nor listen to you, they are only looking out for themselves. I still regret missing a full day of work to instead waste a whole day in a hospital, I hope Dr. Lisa Davidson and her associates think twice before sending someone off. read more

All I can say is "WOW!" And not to be taken in a good way. The potential is there. Dr Davidson is a educated and compassionate person but her practice isn't very operational. I saw her only 2 out of the 6 visit I scheduled. Punctuality doesn't seem to be her strong suit. I had to reschedule week after week due to her extreme lateness, illnesses and an emergency. Which was a current theme of excuses in another Yelper's review. But wait, it gets better! During one of my sessions she responded to one of her emails right in front of me. She told me to "hold on." Also, out of the two visits I had with the doctor, her receptionist interrupted us at least once. This is common practice at her office. What sealed the deal for me to get out of dodge was that part of my treatment she set forth for me relied on her to asses my son's learning deficiencies with her neuropsychology background. I originally started seeing Dr. Davidson for depression related issues which primarily involved my son and the never ending struggle he has. Her course of treatment wasn't to teach me coping strategies but instead get answers and help him, which would then help me. Her office started the process to obtain educational files, etc but over a month later nothing was happening. Then the receptionist called and told me the doctor wouldn't be able to test my son for another 3-4 months. At that point I had very little faith in her because for three weeks straight my appointments kept getting canceled. The last appointment they canceled on me they said they would call me back to reschedule. I have not had a phone call since. Her actions makes her a very unreliable and irresponsible doctor. She should really consider scaling back her practice to a work load she can effectively handle. read more

I have know Dr. Davidson for 12 years. My daughter was evaluated by Dr. Davidson in an effort to determine If my child had any learning issues. With her, an advocate, and attorney we took on a school district. Without going into detail, Dr. Davidson truly saved my daughter from a path of destruction. Now my daughter attends college, plays sports, and lives a happy life. I too saw Dr. Davidson for anxiety and depression. When I say she saved my life I'm not exaggerating. She has a very busy practice and is hands on. She has patients that are in crisis and a few times had to answer calls. I understood at the time that someone else needed help more than I, so I understood when she had to take a call or respond to a text. I'm truly grateful for her service and commitment to our family. You should know that she takes emergency phone calls 24 hours/ seven days per week for her patients in crisis. read more

Stay away from this place!! I had 2 appointments with Dr. Davidson and the first appointment she kept me waiting for almost an hour. The second appointment, I walked in and her assistant said ' Dr. Davidson is way behind. Do you mind waiting?' My appointment was suppose to be for 9:15. Her office called and changed the appointment to 10:00 a.m. How behind should a person be if your appointment is for 10:00 am? During my first appointment her receptionist came in and interrupted our session at least 3 times. She left the room twice to take a phone call. All I know is by the time one gets to the doorstep of a place like that being kicked around is the last thing that should be happening to you. Stay clear and find a better doctor. Preferably one that has some respect for your time and feelings. read more

Yes, you might have to wait for Dr. Davidson but she is worth it. Dr. Davidson is highly trained and a professional that truly cares!! Anyone complaining and who is on insurance should be ashamed. Most Psychologists are private pay now! This is one of the reasons why she is so busy, she is giving back to the community. I will NEVER be returning to this office! Very unprofessional and unethical! Dr. Davidson had the audacity to write in a professional report that "Child's profile, completed by her mother and father, should be considered valid and interpretable although proceed with caution. Child's parents responded in a manner that indicates a tendency for exaggeration, possibly in effort to obtain help for their child." Nothing like making the parents feel inadequate and loosing all trust between the parents and psy. I would give it no stars if I had the option! read more

I can't speak for Dr. Lisa Davidson because I have not met her but the experience I had with Dr. Arian has been very pleasant. My 4 year old son responds very well to her and I'm sure it's because she has a gentle motherly demeanor that is sincere, honest, and, trustworthy. Dr. 'A' gave us great feedback and professional advice that has had a significant impact to our son's social behavior and communication skills. A huge improvement and his preschool teacher has praised it. If you are seeking help with your child, I highly recommend Dr. 'A'. read more

My 7 year old son and I, have had only positive experiences with this office. My son spent three years with another mental health group, with no results. Then I found Dr. Davidson's office. What a difference! My son had his first ever evaluation testing, which found he had ASD, along with other diagnoses. The other mental health group never did any evaluation testing or one on one therapy. After all these years of getting no where, and now seeing results, is amazing. My son has his therapy with Dr. Arian, he trusts her and feels safe. Dr. Davidson always checks in on my son's progress, which shows her concern and professionalism. This office has also been a strong advocate for my sons special needs, and we are indebted to them. read more

This lady is THE BEST. I'm not one to mince words, and that might be what lead me to initially have to look for someone like Dr. Davidson. Fortunately GOD must have been looking down on me when I came across her name and called her office. It was great, the friendly staff understood that I needed to see the doctor NOW, and they made special arrangements so that I could get in right away. I have now been in regular "sessions' with Lisa Davidson, and if there is anyone better out there than Dr. Davidson, I don't want to know. This lady set me at ease, she is so easy to talk to, it seems like she already knows what I want to tell her before we even sit down. I have reached the point where it isn't necessary for me to even go back to meet with Dr. Davidson as, and I know "cure" isn't the right word, SHE HAS THE CURE. Do yourself a favor, call, make an appointment, and just spend 1 session with this amazing woman. She really knows her stuff. I adopted 2 children and have cared for many others via the social services system here in San Diego County. Dr. Davidson has helped me and many of these children over the past TEN YEARS! There is no one that I would trust with these vulnerable, fragile, mentally-challenged children above Dr. Davidson. She's kind, compassionate, sincere, committed, ethical, hard-working and diligent in her pursuit of options/ways to make it work for the the individual and the family. Sure, I've waited many times. But every time I've needed her, she's found a way to help me so I in turn, give back to her and her other patients by waiting when necessary. And Dr. Davidson has helped me personally, as well. If you don't mind waiting, then this neuro-psychologist is the BEST doctor ever and you won't be disappointed!! read more

Lisa has the skills to be a wonderful therapist if you catch her on a good day. I spent most of my time waiting for her! She was constantly late for appointments, as much as 45 minutes, and on a regular basis. On 2 occasions she canceled our appointment the night before. I saw Lisa for 2 months and during that time I was never see on time. She would also cut my sessions short and her receptionist would come in during our sessions. She is a good therapist, but is very unfocused and unorganized. I found her to be extremely unprofessional. read more

Dr. Davidson is fabulous! She's been helping me with foster children, adopted children, and family therapy for nearly 10 years. She's amazing and treats every person, every symptom, every issue with kindness and compassion. Her approach to resolution is consistent and focused. This all requires a lot of time. Her attention to patients is beyond awesome, regardless of the time required, and therefore her schedule is grueling. It is true that she runs late regularly; however, her patients get the time they are promised and the attention they require, regardless of the schedule. So if you want a psychologist to run on time just for the sake of a schedule, then she's probably not the right one for you. But if you want one that runs on a clock based on patient needs and is committed to giving every single person more than 110% of her time and energy and professional guidance and expertise, then Dr. Davidson is the one for you! read more
