Normally I wouldn't be so critical of a small business but this was truly such a dismal experience…read more The "spa" is a converted doctors office from the looks of it and has a very sterile feel to it. There's soothing music but nothing else really. No nice scent, the room is very bare, and worst of all, very cold. It didn't give the feel of "I'm treating myself to a massage" Upon arrival, I checked in and told the woman I had scheduled a 60 min massage and 45 min head therapy. The pricing was great which was why I booked it but I should have known, you get what you pay for. She directed me to the room and indicated to change and get situated. The massage was alright. She couldn't speak any English so it was challenging to tell her when she was putting too much pressure (which was often). I love deep massages but this one put tears in my eyes. Every now and then another employee would shout into the room to ask my masseuse questions and my masseuse would leave. It happened 5-6 times during the 60 min. Nothing about that was peaceful. Things got worse with the hydro circulating steam head therapy. They rolled in a plastic tub/heating contraption. I stuck my head in it, but she couldn't get it to work. It seemed to me like she'd never used it before. The other employee came multiple times and eventually it started flowing warm water. The lady used a spray nozzle to wet my scalp which she at some point let go and it started spraying all over me, the room and the ceiling LOL. At that point the other employee came in again and stayed for the remainder. What was weird to me was that they left my room door wide open. Now it could have very well been that no other customers were in the spa, but I had no way of knowing that in the moment. When you're laying there naked with a sheet protecting you, it's unnerving. She proceeded to wash my hair (with what smelled like Garnier - no shade but if I'm going to a spa I'm expecting an essential oil scent). Eventually she turned on the circulating portion and covered the tub and my head with another lid - bc of the water constantly flowing, it was extremely loud in the chamber. Once that part was all done, she washed my scalp and hair again and proceeded to blow dry the hair while I was still laying down. My hair comes half way down my back. Needless to say, it was impossible to dry it properly and my service finished with a half dried head of hair. I also saw other tools for scalp massages that never used on me. Since this is the only head/scalp treatment on their menu, my only guess is she was so flustered and wanted the whole thing to be over just as much as me, and decided herself to skip the scalp massage. As I got ready to leave, she stopped me from leaving and asked for a tip. Now, I consider myself a generous tipper (20% or more). But this was truly an unpleasant experience. I painfully gave her a $20 and she unlocked the door to let me leave. I would have asked for a refund for the head therapy but had no way of communicating that to her. Save your money and go to a real spa.

When I first got there , they had asked me to go to the bathroom and wash my hands. Then showed me my room where they asked me to relax and lay down with the sheet over me. The lady who came in was very nice and asked me for permission before she did anything which I thought was very respectful. She continued to do so throughout the massage which I liked. I felt that they massage wasn't what I was expecting , it was mostly just rubbing on my back , I was hoping for more pressure. Overall the staff was nice, the place was very clean, and It was relaxing. I don't think id come out of my way too come back but if I had another Groupon with a good price id try it again and maybe ask for more pressure.

I visited this spa with my daughter after purchasing a Groupon deal for a facial and massage priced…read moreat $79. I scheduled the appointment by phone and paid in advance. Upon arrival at 9:30 a.m., two staff members escorted us to begin the massage services. Shortly after the massage began, the therapists offered several "enhancements," including lavender oil, lemon oil, and hot stones, priced at $30, "discounted" to $20. In my experience, massage oil has always been included as part of the service, so I found it unusual and disruptive to be upsold during a relaxation treatment. During the facial portion, the esthetician asked when I last received a facial. After I responded, she immediately recommended a "derma facial" due to dryness, priced at $100, discounted to $50. She then pointed out dark spots and suggested laser treatment at $20 per spot, which I declined. The continuous upselling made the experience feel more like a sales pitch than a spa visit. At checkout, I was surprised to learn that I owed an additional $96, on top of the $180 already paid. I was also not informed that a third staff member would be performing part of the facial service. When it came time to tip, I provided $20 each for the 3 therapists ($60 total). I was then told that the staff member who worked on my daughter should receive an additional tip, so I added $15 more. While I do not mind paying for services, I strongly believe that all pricing, add‑ons, and staffing details should be clearly explained before the service begins. Transparency is essential, especially in a spa environment where clients expect relaxation rather than unexpected charges or persistent upselling.
