Or massive lower prices at the Costco's in Washington. Idaho State Liquor Stores are price gouging its customers. It's sad Idaho feels the need to charge high prices and/or higher taxes on alcohol. I for one choose not to give Idaho my money. I go to Washington State frequently and I have no problem going to a Costco there and stock up until my next trip. You do the math! I can buy a 750ml bottle of Kirkland American Made 5 times filtered Vodka for $12. I cannot buy a 350ml bottle of Vodka here in Idaho for under $18. Hello Costco!

There really isn't much to write about a liquor store other than 3 key things: selection, service,…read moreand price. I feel like with my unique experience here, this location killed it in all 3. I was looking for something specific, Black Raspberry Cîroc. I was talking with my local liquor store in Nampa, they told me they only knew of 2 locations in Idaho that received shipment (and by shipment I mean 1 bottle...), this location being one of them. I called this place up, the woman working knew EXACTLY what I was looking for and put the ONLY bottle they had on hold (without me even asking). I was already in the area (was doing some shopping nearby), so I hurried down to pick it up. Right when I walked in, I asked the woman working (which was the woman I spoke on the phone with) for Black Raspberry Cîroc, and her only response was "Are you George...?". From then on out, I knew I had to write a review for this place, just to spotlight the loyalty of her. I'm confident that she would've held it for me if someone else came through looking (of course unless I didn't come by within a respectable time period). I literally spent less than a minute in there, in and out is what I like, primarily because it's super hard to NOT to get tempted in there (or any of these magical stores in general). The plan is to never visit this or any of the other liquor stores again (one of my New Year Resolutions) but knowing that this was my resolution last year as well, I feel like there's a high chance I will be back. Overall the selection, service, and price were A1. Nothing comes to mind in terms of improvement, other than Diddy shipping more Cîroc to Idaho. Everyone who tried it loved it, felt nice bringing something unique to our holiday get together. 5 stars ALL day EVERY day, much thanks to the woman working (I regret NOT asking her for her name).

They have pretty much everything under the sun liquor from lower end items that come in plastic bottles to very high end selections as well. Plus they have a great section that is dedicated to Idaho and have really enjoyed the selections I have gotten from there. The staff as well is always friendly and helpful. The only big downer are the prices. I am used to paying anywhere from $6 to $8 more a bottle depending on selection.

But Idaho does not provide drive through sales of hooch. So you know, unlike the guy in the red pick up truck with Texas plates who we saw today drive through up to the window thinking he could order to go. The store is well lit and well stocked with a very helpful woman working at the counter who asked us, as we checked out our order, if we needed vodka. Maybe because we had a bottle of bourbon, rye, gin and tequila as our purchase. Once every 12 or so months we find the bourbon and gin bottles at our house are empty and our last purchase of them was Thanksgiving 2023. Once every couple of years the same holds true for tequila and rye so in some years, like this one, all need replacing at one time. So it was intuitive for the nice woman to ask if we needed vodka but that is a spirit we use so often that I think I'd have to brush the dust off of the Grey Goose bottle in the liquor cabinet before I poured it. But I have read that vodka is the best selling kind of hooch in this part of Idaho and, boy howdy, it sure seemed so for the selection in this store. My husband said the vodka display looked like the cereal at Albertsons for the over abundance of options. We don't need a liquor store often but when we do we will come back to this location. On the topic of location, this is in the same strip mall complex that houses Winco and Home Depot. Woohoo PS: They have Licor 43 at this store so for we fans of that botanical liquor from Cartegna, Spain, to make Carajillo, the liquor and coffee Mexican after dinner drink, we no longer have to drive to the liquor store in Boise's North End to buy it. A couple of years ago when I bought a bottle, that North End store was the only one to carry it. Accessibility: One spot of accessible parking in front of bank and the only curb ramp is on the side of that.

Some have better selections of certain liquors (I'm looking at you and your stellar Scotch selection, Kuna), some have more knowledgable staff (downtown Boise), some have an overall expansive selection (Vista), and some, like this one, differentiate themselves by their kind and thoughtful service. Came in here looking for vermouth for Manhattan making. Now, I've consumed many a-Manhattan but haven't mixed many. So, as I stood there gazing at the Vermouth selection--I was flummoxed. Sweet? Dry? I was unsure. That's when the gentleman working approached and asked if he could be of help. He was also unsure (more of a martini guy), but immediately busted out a bartending guide and looked up the answer for me. I've been to other liquor stores in town looking for advice and have been met with shrugs when the worker was unsure--this was definitely above and beyond the usual service. The only oddity I found was that typically, one can go to the vodka section and all bottle sizes of a particular brand are grouped together--here, the smallest bottles of various types of liquor (not minis, but smaller bottles) are grouped together in a separate section. Parking is convenient (practically door to door) and hours are until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Get to it!

This store is located between downtown and the airport and is large with lots of parking. These stores are the only place to purchase spirits in Idaho. Beer and wine are available at supermarkets and other stores, but you must come here for the hard stuff. Fortunately the selection is rather impressive with lots of options and sizes. Prices are rather high although most neighboring states have high taxes on booze too. I found a great selection of Idaho potato vodka here which is perfect! This location is large with a nice staff, but the hours and prices are difficult. You have to buy booze from the government Liquor Stores so you don't really have a choice anyway.
