My grandmother too, but she didn't get to partake in this all girl's road trip on 11/24/21 to the small town of Littlefield, TX. Waymores is part liquor store and part tribute to Jennings. If you're lucky, you'll catch a family member like we did (Jennings's sister-in-law, Helen) to give us a brief tour of their memorabilia room (or as some reviews refer to as the museum). She shared so many neat stories about Jennings and their family. We were grateful we caught her in time before lunch. On the way out, I picked up a small black Waylon t-shirt, a bottle of tequila for my brother, and a bottle of whiskey for my dad for $58.43. Debit or credit is accepted. I wore the t-shirt to a lunch buffet later that week with extended family. My dad laughingly told me that a guy behind him waiting in line read the words on the back of my new shirt in a sort of dumbfounded way. The shirt says, "I've always been crazy..." (a song Jennings wrote and recorded) Had I heard this guy, I would have belted out the rest of the words... "But it's kept me from going insane." Good and bad to this as our order was ready however unlike the other ordered there was no sales slip with the name for the order. We found an associate to help us locate this and it was indeed in an unmarked box. Makes sense as this was a large order with 10 bottles, so I can understand why they may not have had the sales slip pinned to the outside. Especially if this are is not monitored and people can grab and go. Store was clean and well put together. Was a bit shocked to see a coffee area?! In a liquor store? Who knew. And sadly they do not carry the Malfy Lemon Gin which is so hard to find.

They have wines of all kinds from all over the world and all the way down to those straight from nearby in Texas. Beer galore to choose from - there's always something unique to try out. And of course the huge selection of liquors goes without saying. Noteworthy is their ever-growing Japanese whiskey selection. There are tons of the small shot bottles that make great gifts for the holidays or a great way to sample. Don't forget the humidor for your cigar fix, too. The prices are on par with those I've seen in other states around the country. They have a credit price and a cash price that's 5% cheaper than that. There's also a by-the-box/case price for liquors. They regularly have sample servers here meaning you can almost always try some of the drinks out in-store, though it's never an obligation to buy them. The staff members are always friendly, helpful, and seem pretty easygoing. The store is bright and laid out in a way that you can see the signage easily from one end to the other. They play music over the PA system and their theme mascot is a rabbit. Again, if you're looking for alcohol in Lubbock, especially something obscure, this is the best place to find it.

But once u walk inside it's like a step back in time. The lady @ the counter was as nice as they come too and very talkative & since it's almost election times she has her customers put down their pick for president and toss them in a jar and after the election they tally the numbers and it's always been right on for who ended up winning.
