When I went there we needed an ID and birth certificate and we forgot the certificate so we had to go back home. Before we left we asked the piercer what time she closed and she said 7:30. It was 4:50 when we left to get the certificate, and we went home got the certificate then headed back. It was 5:25 when we got back and apparently she had closed up and gone home even after she knew we were headed back to get the piercing. The piercings themselves are well done, she was informative when I asked about the piercing and which type of jewelry I should use. As well, my sister has gotten her eyebrows done here and they were done well. This experience was just very inconveniencing as we had to go there, go back, then go there again. I would recommend this place if you go earlier in the day, so there is no chance of them closing up early. read more

My bestie and I had back to back sessions with Jesse yesterday and it was absolutely magical! He was so nice and inviting! He made us feel totally comfortable and confident in his abilities! It was truly the best tattooing experience I have ever had. The shop is so clean and I loved the vibe! It had a great energy!! My friend got her first tattoo ever and Jesse brought her vision to life. And mine turned out exceeding all expectations! I would 100% recommend Jesse! He was so fun to chat with and his talent is incredible! Now I need a reason to go back! read more

I was pierced by Kassie. She was an absolute angel and was perfect. She was super friendly and the place looked so cute and clean! I got my other nostril done. It was perfectly even. She talked me through the whole process and was so kind to me! I will always come to this piercing shop as they've never messed up any of my piercings or my friends! Thank you, Kassie! read more

They were very nice and even let me get my tattoo as a walkin and over 5 yrs later it still looks great Almost at the point of needing the color refreshed but still a few years away from that but looking forward to 8 read more

I had my lobes double pierced and my cartilage piercing a few days ago. The piercer (I think her name is Melissa) was friendly and informative. She was patient with me when I got nauseous from all the poking haha! The only problem is that I think she did not secure my last piercing well enough and it fell down the drain when I was cleaning it and had to get it redone. I still recommend coming here for a piercing, though, as they know what they are doing! read more

The only place in Omaha to get tattooed, as far as I'm concerned. I love the crew here. In addition to being talented (obviously) they're also unbelievably creative, know how to have a good time, and never settle for giving anyone a 'plain ol tattoo'. Everything is 100% custom and tailored to the client. Plus, once a year as a customer appreciation gesture, they have a Free Tattoo Day. But keep in mind that because they're so good, and people have such a high opinion of the shop, appointments with some artists are hard to come by on short notice. Stop in and make an appointment, Nick will also help you decide who you should see you don't have someone specific already in mind and offer recommendations on what they can and can't do in terms of design. read more

This is my favorite place to get tattoos. I first came here because my co-workers recommended this place. Very talented artists. I actually never got a big tattoo until I came here. I brought in my design and he redrew it 3 times bigger than I wanted. I was really nervous about getting a big tattoo, but I made the mistake of not listening to a tattoo artist in the past. So, I stuck with the size he recommended and I'm glad I listened to Devin. Devin also did a great cover-up on one of my tattoos. If you want to get a tattoo give them a cal. They're very busy, so you might have to wait a few months. Be patient, it's worth the wait. read more

Greg/Craig. Whatever the hell his name is. RUDE as hell. Would never go there again just because of how big of a dick he was. Degraded me and made me feel stupid for the location I wanted my tattoo. It's my choice, idc if you won't like it. THEN had the balls to criticize my friend for the position she wanted her tattoo. In one short minute of knowing him he made us all feel stupid. I highly recommend if you go there, stay clear of him. I wouldn't spend a dime on his services. read more

got a few piercings and enjoyed the experience of the piercer! waited an hour, but i understand it was busy and not her fault at all.

Super helpful and knowledgeable staff! Answered any questions I had and made thoughtful suggestions for jewelry options.

This is where I've gotten all but one of my tattoos, and I wish I had gotten that tattoo here as well. Everyone is super friendly and hilarious, and most importantly talented. Each artist is different and has different strengths so if you're looking for a person to do a certain type of style or tattoo, I guarantee an artist here can do what you want and 1000x better than you could have imagined. I always get Asa or Milko, but wouldn't hesitate to have anyone there tattoo me. 10/10 recommend always. read more

For my very first tattoo, I came to Liquid Courage and to Devin. The first time I met Devin, a friend of mine was getting a tattoo on her shoulder, and I knew, right then and there, that I would ask Devin to do my first tattoo. My tattoo is a 6x8 picture of someone who is very close to me - someone I lost way too soon. What Devin did for me, it's priceless - which is probably why I didn't mind paying for his handiwork. Devin is, above all things, an artist. He took an image I had and gave me something that will be with me forever, and I could never, in a million years, be able to express the gratitude I have for the quality of workmanship with which he performs. If you're looking for a tattoo and you kind of have an idea, bring it to the artists at LC... They are AWESOME - every last one of them! read more

Holy crap! The easiest way to see whether or not you are an artist is to get something tattooed on you. Forever. I just finished the third session in a series of one whole piece. I am not an artist, For months I have had outlines and then some shading and fill in, but never saw the full picture. Devin is my artist exclusively; I have waited to get multiple pieces done by him and he gets me. And my ideas/theme. I came in a long time ago with a shit-ton of images to get the concept. He put together a sketch (in of itself is art) and I have gone in and got it started. Today, in its' fainality, I could not be more impressed! Awesome is an understatement. I have seen some of the other artists' performing and end results and know that the bar is set high. Certain artists have skills that exude the others, but all are extremely capable of taking your money and delivering an exemplary product. I will be going back soon enough and by that, in about 8 months from now. Pro tip: Make your appointment now, get the best results later. $60 minimum read more

I read all the great reviews on here so I decided to go in and check it out. The receptionist was snobby and rude. I handed her a hand-drawn picture of what I wanted and she looked at me like I was joking. Yes ma'am, I know my tattoo is not going to look like it was drawn by hand, it was a sketch... Anyway, the pricing was the same as anywhere else. Place was clean. After looking through all the binders, my boyfriend finally pulled me out. He has sleeves and has been getting tattoos for years and the first thing he said was "their reputation exceeds them" and I agree. I decided to go to Black Squirrel and I couldn't have been happier! read more

I learned about Liquid Courage because I was part of an adult rec hockey league here in Omaha. I was told that if I was going to have any ink done I had to go and see Devin at Liquid Courage. I met Devin finally one night at a drop-in/pick-up hockey game and asked Devin if he would be able to fix the mistake from seeing a newer artist at Hart & Huntington in Las Vegas a few years back and Devin said no problem. I finally was able to work it out with Devin to stop by Liquid Courage on August 14th while my children were in school. I arrived just prior to my 12:00 pm appointment and proceeded to fill out the paper work required and before I knew it Devin was at work on my Chicago Cubs tattoo. There was lively discussion through out the time that I was there and before I realized it Devin asked me to take a look at how the ink now looked. I was very happy to say the least. The tattoo did not look like it was faded away like it had since originally getting it. I have been so happy to know that my Cubs tattoo looks the way it should have always looked when I originally got it. Now I just have to get my wife to agree to allow me to add my Chicago Bulls and the 2014-15 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks logos with my Cubs and Chicago Bears tattoos. I posted a picture on Facebook and will advise that if you live in Omaha or you're going to visit Omaha you need to see Devin. Liquid Courage only does work by appointment and is usually booked well in advance. If you are able to catch Devin at his 2nd shop Sailor's Grave in the Community of Benson Maple Street at roughly 61st street, things are on a first come first served basis. I high recommend if you're going to Sailor's Grave that you get there one hour prior to the 12:00 pm opening or be prepared to wait for a while. Thanks Devin!!!!! I hope to get back soon to add more ink to my body!!! read more

I have to echo the sentiments already expressed about Liquid Courage. It is simply the best place in Omaha to get a tattoo. I got both of mine here, and after seeing some friends get tattoos from other places, I've got to say I'm glad I went where I did. Mine are relatively simple, but my buddy had a couple custom pieces he designed done here and everything has been top-notch. The artists here are just that, artists. You can either bring them your own ideas or let them come up with something for you, and either way you'll walk out with the best quality work, which is important when you're permanently altering your body. If you are going to get a tattoo, I honestly cannot recommend this place enough, they're the best. read more

There's a reason every artist here has a waiting list (in addition to their separate, walk in only, location that consistently has a line before the doors open). Some of the best talent in Omaha with creative minds and great suggestions. Of the countless amounts of tattoo shops now in town, LC is top 3 (if not #1) for sure read more

Liquid Courage is by far the #1 tattoo shop in Omaha. From the moment we walked through the door they were friendly and professional. We are already looking forward to our next tattoos at Liquid Courage. read more

I've had two tattoos done here and I love them both. I'm sad that I moved out of state and can't get any more work done here. I haven't gotten a tattoo because I haven't seen any studios that are as nice as this one. I now live in Berkeley CA (you would think I could find some place as cool as LC) and I still miss this place. I love that Liquid Courage had done completely custom tattoos for me. I never have to worry that I will see someone with a tattoo just like mine. read more

I did my homework before deciding on this shop, and it paid off. Everyone here is friendly and polite, great customer service skills. All of the artists have good portfolios. You're going to get a great tattoo no matter which artist you see. No jerk attitudes from anyone, not even from the customers. I haven't seen a jerk attitude out of anyone in the shop, not even the day I was being nosy with my camera. One day I had an assignment for school in which I had to photograph a whole bunch of one thing, so I chose tattoo iconography. I asked Liquid Courage if I could take pictures around the shop for my assignment and they had nothing to hide. They let me be totally nosy with my camera. Every room was clean and respectable. So far I have 2 tattoos from Dave (they were cover-ups) and one from De La Rosa, but I went over to Sailor's Grave to get them because I suck at patience and I didn't want to wait for an appointment. So if you're like me and you don't want to wait for an appointment, try stopping by their sister shop Sailor's Grave in Benson. It's all the same artists, two artists at a time on a rotation, but they are all walk-ins not appointments. If you need something really big or complicated you might have to settle for making an appointment at Liquid Courage instead. But it can't hurt to drop by Sailor's Grave and ask the guys about the tat you're looking for. They might be able to whip something up for you right there on the spot. They also have a bunch of flash to pick from including Sailor Jerry. Sailor's Grave is also very clean and respectable. Everything is pretty much out in the open in that shop, they have nothing to hide there either. Of all the times I've hung around both locations, I've only ever seen happy customers and people coming back saying "You did a great job with this last time, can you do this other one too?" Some shops I've seen have artists with holier-than-thou attitudes, but not here. The atmosphere is great. As if those weren't enough good reasons (cleanliness, skill, friendliness) they also give back to the community. They participate in the annual Lash LaRue Toy Drive and give away tattoos in support of it. AND while you're at Liquid Courage, you can venture downstairs to a really nifty store called Tops. If you've never been, you have to go. They have all sorts of neat stuff and they get new stuff in on a regular basis. I don't know why you're still reading this, go! read more

Best tattoo and piercing shop in Omaha! I have had piercings from Lee and he is very good at making you feel at ease and very thorough on sterilization. An all around incredible piercer! I have had tattoos from Jason, Dave (Dup), and Fierto. I have very little artistic ability so each time I have came in with an idea all I can really do is explain to them what I want and they have drawn it up for me. I can't even begin to explain how happy I have been with all of the art work they have put together and then tattooed for me. You can definitely expect a wait for a few months but it is a product of their great work, so it is worth the wait! They have a broad range of artists so if you have something in mind but not sure how to draw it, which artist to go to, just come in and they will gladly help you get it! All around just amazing shop. read more

I've been going to Liquid Courage since it first opened... following one of the artists from another shop. I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else. Every artist there is amazing. And what's really cool is each of them have a specialty, so there will always be someone who will be able to give you exactly what you were looking for, and more. The other thing that's great about Liquid Courage is that all of their tattoos are custom. No picking from flash on a wall. You'll get something no one else has. Because of all of the above, the artist's schedules book up quickly, so you might have to wait a while to get in to get your new ink. But it is well worth the wait. read more

For my first somewhat large tattoo I chose Greg because I liked his work and he seemed like he had a lot of experience. I emailed him to see if I could set up an appointment and got no response. Waited a few weeks and emailed again to which he did respond telling me to come in for a consultation so I did. That as well as the actual tattoo appointment went fine, however after it healed there were a few lines that needed to be touched up. I emailed him over 6 times over the course of several months, called the shop twice, sent an Instagram DM and got not one response back. Literally was ignored and strung along for months. I should also mention that the lady that I talked to on the phone sounded like it was the biggest inconvenience of her life to have to talk to me and answer my questions. After me calling and talking to her for the second time (since I got no call back from Greg the first time even though I was told my info was passed on to him), she got annoyed and just told me to come in for yet another consultation. (Mind you this took place about a month ago and it seemed like they have since gotten a new girl at the front counter who was very nice.) I'm not sure why the consultation was needed though since Greg had already tattooed me and I also sent him pictures in the emails to him. Still though I came in and asked if he could just do the touch up then since it would take all of 5 mins or less. He said he "didn't have time" and that the soonest he could do it was 2 months out after he had already wasted 3 months of my time by not responding. Long story short I did end up getting my touch up, and just like I said it took less than 5 minutes. I will not be going back to LQ or to SG either. I was also planning on getting some piercings and a couple more tattoos in the future, but have taken my money and business elsewhere. I have a feeling that as a young woman who didn't have an extremely expensive tattoo, that I probably wasn't in Greg's usual customer demographic. Regardless, every customer deserves to be treated with respect, and with just some plain decency. If you want to feel like you're an inconvenience to them and want to practically beg them to do business with you, then go to Liquid Courage! read more

When I moved to Omaha, I had no idea of where I would be going to get my next piece of art done. After reading through a lot of reviews and consulting some of my friends, I opted to go with Liquid Courage. I met with Andrew and he immediately for the vision of what I wanted to have done and what I wanted to incorporate. The trick was that I wanted to not only have a significant piece of work done, but I wanted it to be built around an existing tattoo. After some planning and 2 sessions, I was blown away with the art work that now graces my body. I will be back for additional work and never hesitate to to recommend them if someone is looking for some new work or to get tattooed for the first time. Simply phenomenal and my tip is to look through the portfolios of the artists. Each will have specialties of what they are best at in terms of design. Also, they are booked well in advance, so be patient...it will e worth the wait. read more
