It was 4:50 when we left to get the certificate, and we went home got the certificate then headed back. It was 5:25 when we got back and apparently she had closed up and gone home even after she knew we were headed back to get the piercing. The piercings themselves are well done, she was informative when I asked about the piercing and which type of jewelry I should use. As well, my sister has gotten her eyebrows done here and they were done well. This experience was just very inconveniencing as we had to go there, go back, then go there again. I would recommend this place if you go earlier in the day, so there is no chance of them closing up early.

The employee at the front desk was playing video games on large monitors the entire time. He was friendly, but it didn't create a very welcoming or professional environment for a piercing/tattoo studio. The piercing process itself also left me with concerns. The workspace seemed somewhat disorganized, communication was minimal, and I wasn't given any explanation of the aftercare process once my piercing was finished. Instead, we had to keep asking questions to get basic information about how to care for it. Today, I ended up visiting a different piercing shop because I couldn't remove the jewelry that had been put in. The piercer there questioned why front screw flat-back threaded studs had been used for my upper lobe piercings and was surprised to hear that I hadn't been given proper aftercare instructions. Overall, I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're considering getting pierced. There are many studios that place a stronger emphasis on professionalism, communication, and educating clients about proper aftercare, and I think that's an important part of the experience.

They recommended coming in after a few weeks so they can resize the piece, after swelling goes down. There is no extra charge for this. Any future adjustments are free as well, even if you purchase the jewelry elsewhere.

After waiting 53 minutes in the lobby with no updates, we asked for an estimate and were told there were still "a couple more" people ahead of us. At no point did anyone proactively communicate that the wait would be significantly longer than promised. When we expressed our frustration, staff didn't ask if we wanted to remain on the list--they told us they would simply remove us from it. We chose to leave. The owner followed us outside and asked what he could do to make things right. A genuine attempt would have been offering immediate service, a discount, or a gift certificate for the nearly hour-long wait. Instead, when we explained why we were upset, his response was, "You've gotta work with me here," before walking away. Delays happen. Tattoo and piercing shops get busy. The issue wasn't the wait--it was the inaccurate estimate, lack of communication, dismissive attitude, and complete failure to take responsibility when given the opportunity to resolve the situation. I've spent plenty of time in tattoo and piercing studios and understand how the industry works. What I don't understand is treating potential customers as though their time has no value. Based on this experience alone, I would never recommend Big Brain to anyone.

Walked in about an hour after they opened, gave them my ID, filled out a form and then I was in the piercing chair. Cassidy is very mellow, and I felt really comfortable the whole time. She took her time talking to me, offered me a squish ball, and thoroughly went over after care and when to come back to adjust the bar as it's a bit long to accommodate for swelling. Overall the shop is easy to find, plenty of parking, and very clean. I would come back here for another piercing and probably will when I go to get my bar shortened!

The process goes: complete an interest form online, they call to chat and set you up an appointment time with your preferred artist, go in and pay the down payment (CASH ONLY), they fill you in on the day-of process, and you go for your appointment. They were super clear and communicative about the process for everything, and very kind the whole time. Shira was fabulous, she didn't rush us even when my husband couldn't decide on size or placement. She was thorough, her designs incredible, did a great job, and even consulted about a cover up I want done. We're looking forward to having her do future tattoos! The shop is so cool, I loved just walking around. They have tons of merch and other cool stuff, but another warning it's all cash-only. They have an ATM on site if you need one. Look on their Instagram page for parking guidance, there's a map of where you can and can't park around the shop.

When I went in 2017 for my half sleeve, Kurt took my vision and made it a reality with exact designs I wanted plus his own freehand designs. The picture in my wedding dress is 6 years after I got it and it still looks great. My husband and I went in on 1/4/24 to get anniversary tattoos and Dennis worked with us to make our vision come to life in a design was better than what we originally planned. They're all knowledgeable and have a good balance of giving the client what they want vs being realistic about what will work. For example, we originally wanted tattoos on our ring fingers. While Dennis said he'd do what we wanted, he was also honest about it not lasting and let us decide what to do. We settled on a better design we both loved even more. We're planning our future tattoos and will plan to come here for those, too!
