Bartender was dumb as hell. Tried ordering and mid order she looked at someone else and helped them. Annoying.

Howard's Club H - Empty beers at Howard's

The bar itself is very fun and very full of personality! There is graffiti and stickers all over…read morethe wall and polls that show a rich history of happy patrons and bands who have had joyous times here! The bar staff were incredibly friendly and very attentive! The only critiques I have are that there are many many tables for watching and not much room for dancing ( or in my case moshing since I visited to see a metal show) which was a bit sad, they do not serve food here which again was a bit sad ( I should have looked up though) BUT!!!!! They do have a popcorn machine so that was a very happy surprise! This bar has good vibes and character!

A Beautifully Filthy Rock & Roll Dive…read more If you love a good, grungy, rock and roll dive bar, Howard's Club H is the place for you. It's got all the essentials: cold beer (only slightly overpriced), bartenders who are usually nice enough, and a smell that can only be described as shame with a hint of stale beer. The bathrooms? Perfectly disgusting, just as they should be in a place like this. The walls are covered in layers of graffiti and stickers, some of it actually pretty interesting if you take the time to look. Live bands crank out music that ranges from surprisingly solid to who let them on stage? But that's part of the charm. This is the kind of bar where you go to lose track of time, drink with strangers who might become friends, and soak in the glorious decay of a true dive. It's not for everyone, but if you appreciate a bar with character, history, and just the right amount of grime, Howard's Club H is a must.

Bowling Green Beer Works is a bit hard to find, and I suspect that the owners and regulars like it…read morethat way. The environment is very comfortable and laid back. Diverse and friendly crowd; when I was there, my drinking buddies were a family fresh out of church, a couple of broskis from the school, and a couple of black Hipster chicks also from BGSU (I honestly thought, for just a second, that the one girl was Zazie Beetz). I liked the vibe. In addition, two dogs, with their people, were also in the building; be sure that you don't step on a lying dog's tail while you're in here. Good music. Beer: 12 beers on tap. Great selection. There should be something for any palate. I would say, however, that if stouts and porters are your thing, you may be disappointed...at least at this time...the closest thing is BG's Big Brown. This is a smooth American Brown Ale. All in all, I tried 6 of their 12 beers and I liked every one. Hop heads may be disappointed as their hoppiest IPA tops out at 76 IBUs (if that). I normally hate wheat beer that's contaminated with fruit flavors, but BGBWs strawberry mango wheat was really good. No food is available, but you can bring food from anywhere, or you can have it delivered. Great place. 5 stars.

This place was unique in that it had these great roll up doors so you could be outside but in. It was a gorgeous 75 and sunny day in Ohio. No rain today. So sitting outside makes this girl happy. This location was full of fun locals! He ordered a flight and I stuck to an Amber. They have food trucks on specific days and times here and the food looks aka smells delicious! The atmosphere was welcoming. The beer was smoothe and cold. My memory starts getting fuzzy around now. But this was a very fun place! Check it out!

We were able to taste from a small selection of draft craft beers. We chose a wheat and cider but opted for the cider. Good taste. Not too sweet and a definite aftertaste of berries. Yum. The service was so quick but it was a Monday afternoon before school began. My friend ordered a churrizo burrito. I ordered a chicken wrap with fries. This place offers a coffee shop, craft cocktails wine and beer along with an unusual selection of healthy ( salads and grain bowls) to not so healthy (smash burger and fries) food. I love the spacious rooms and woodwork everywhere. Wish this place was nearby.

Heading home we decided to search yelp for a brewery to eat a late lunch and picked Juniper. It…read morehad been a couple of years since we had been to Bowling Green and so Juniper was new to us. The atmosphere is not typical college and comes across a bit more classy. The beer selection was decent and the brew I chose, Interstellar Overdrive was well balanced and excellent. In a college town the only way to differentiate yourself as a restaurant is to be different. Juniper offers some unique options and specialities. Not necessarily your typical brew food. I had the wings with the house sauce and they were very good. My wife had the burger (with a house sauce) and it was tasty. Prices are reasonable and our server was great (a business major). Gauging a restaurant in a college town by its service is tricky because of the constant turnover so maybe we were lucky or management has a good eye when hiring. Definitely recommend stopping by fig you are in the neighborhood.
