There were almost no peppers. When I pointed out the overdone steak to the waitress, she said they get different cooks on the back and she said she would discount the bill (by $2) but did not offer to bring out a medium cooked steak. I think yes I damn sure go back to Rockdale's biscuit and gravy and anything that they put on the spoon if you can avoid the crowds it's even more enjoyable but hey, if it wasn't good, it wouldn't be nobody there one day and if you don't eat here, we'll both starve. I highly recommend it and the ambience is just I used to deliver milk there back in the 70s, so when it was A&W, but it's sure has been a remake and it's been a great thing and a good place to have your coffee and the breakfast meeting and so on so forth.

This holds up that interesting adage that little local places in the middle of nowhere are awesome. I had their Earls burger, and while just a little more done than I normally pursue, the flavor was spot on. Better yet were the tater tots that were absolutely dreamy. They have bands playing regularly, and a friendly staff that makes you feel like a local. It's a haul, but I'm thinking I'll be back again sometime soon.
