There is a ticket fee for all non students. The small arena has a large screen scoreboard that is paired up with a loud sound system for music. It's very entertaining and fun during the breaks. They have a "block party" for every UCSD block and the staff throws free t shirts into the stands. There is one small snack stand for sodas, nachos, pretzels and typical sports food. It was staffed with two people. There is no beer or wine served here so get ready for Gatorade. The arena is a nice volleyball venue where 200-300 spectators watched the game very comfortably. It was fun with music and the great announcer.

Eh. I've never…read morereally been a fan of seeing shows at Rimac Arena. I mean, when you wanna check out a hot show and you're REALLY excited about it... it's hard to get upset about the venue. You just wanna catch the performance. This was the case last night for the big Flight of the Conchords show at UCSD. Been wanting to see those cats for years, and finally, they brought their tour through San Diego. The show could have been at the Miramar Landfill for all I cared... I just wanted to see the best musical comedy duo since Tenacious D up close and personal, and it happened to be on this particular college campus. The show was great, but I despise the layout of Rimac. It's primarily used to house the UCSD basketball teams (both men and women), and it doubles as a large concert venue for bands and artists with a big draw. Unfortunately, the space yields some terrible acoustics. I don't think shows were necessarily top of mind during construction of this venue, and it's apparent by the vast amount of metal pillars and various other adornments that cause the sound to bounce all over the place. I think they could spend some of that trust fund loot to throw some egg crates on the walls to absorb the sound, but that's just me. You know when you see a show in a gymnasium, and for a moment, you totally forget that you're in some sweaty sports venue? Well, that's not the case here. You're well aware that you're in a basketball arena, for sure. You really have to commend the staff at UCSD for doing so many great things for the students enrolled here, though. Seems like they have a different music festival going on every month (Sungod, for example). However, I just wish they could warm up the arena somehow. It'd be like doing yoga in the middle of Time's Square. Sure, the yoga would awesome... but it'd be really tough to get the full experience because you're in the middle of a bustling intersection. Like that yoga comparison, it's hard to fully get into 'show mode' here. But coming full circle, sometimes you have to make sacrifices to see some of your favorite bands. It's unfortunate that our city doesn't have more 'real' music venues in town for an act of this caliber. Uncomfortable bench seating in a college sports hall hardly does the trick for me.

When I purchased food and merch the vendors and arena staff were very nice and attentive. Security is a little better now, although there are still inconsistencies when it comes to enforcing prohibited items depending on which security guard you get. That part definitely still needs improvement. I'd give this place 4 stars mainly because the food and venue prices have increased drastically but honestly, that seems to be the case everywhere these days. Even with the higher costs, this is still a beautiful and very pristine stadium. It's easy to navigate, parking has never really been an issue for us, and the overall venue experience has been great. The staff here at Frontwave Arena have been amazing, especially the arena staff and event crews. We actually just bought season tickets for next season to support the San Diego Sockers because that's how much we've enjoyed coming here. As an Oceanside resident and native, I feel like I have to support Frontwave right now because it's becoming part of the identity of this great coastal city on the West Coast.

You shouldn't have to bail out early, just so it's not an hour plus to leave the parking zone. I have a system from years of coming here. Come early, leave a song before the end, etc. Sign up for designated driver to get a voucher for a free soda or water. Eat in the car before you come in, lol, because the food is expensive and not great. Most seats are decent with the exception of 1) the lawn and 2) the pit area if it's seated. Neither of those are good, unless they have to close the lawn due to the show under-performing. Then those with lawn tickets get changed to one of the seated sections. For that reason, you should wait to rent a chair for the lawn when you get there, to make sure you'll actually be there because they won't give you money back. The pit isn't great when it's seated. You could pay less for the 100s, and the seat would be more comfortable. Customer service near the main entrance is where you can sign up for d/d, and they also have a sign with the times for the bands. Merch lines can get long, so go first thing when you get there. Drinks and food are both pricey, and food is just ok. This is a clear bag facility like most of the larger venues in SD.

True class would have been to name the stadium after Jack Murphy, the person who the original stadium was named for - that naming choice would have represented continuity, a recognition that history and the city matter. Now Jack Murphy only gets a statue of himself and his dog outside the stadium, with a plaque talking about all the sponsors of the statue, not actually explaining who the man himself was. Again, true class would have been to kept the name Jack Murphy for the stadium - but true class is hard to find in America these days. Snapdragon can never become a legendary stadium like Old Trafford of Man U, the Bernabeu of Real Madrid, or the Maracana of Brazil with a sold off stadium name representing nothing that'll change every 20 years.

I was able to get a discounted parking ticket online at $4.00 off coming to a total of only $16.00. I was able to conveniently upload the ticket in my "wallet" on my phone. There were a lot of vendors present that were geared toward home improvement then there were the other ones who were very pushy hawking skin care. That's not what we came for. We were looking into a water system for our home & hoped to see the folks selling Murphy beds this year. They had an outdoor area with garden items and plants. There were 3 food trucks out there. We shared a delicious cappuccino. We spoke to Life Source Water Systems for a bit & with Verizon. We had switched to T-Mobile and regret it. We may switch back to Verizon. With Life Source we submitted for financing, got approved but changed our minds about the system when we found out they don't eliminate hard water. So, why go with this system and at a $8,000 price tag? It was nice to visit and for it to be in this location in Del Mar. it's a very pretty area. It was odd to see the actual buildings because we usually come here for the fair and the buildings are obscured by tents and kiosks. At any rate the fairgrounds are well maintained & always offer a nice, clean, and spacious venue.

One thing I really liked is that the exhibit lets you move at your own pace. You can take your time with each piece, and there's a lot to look at. There are also several video displays that highlight different locations, events, and specific works, which adds a lot of context to the experience. There's plenty here to keep you busy -- you could easily spend close to two hours if you really want to read everything and take in every detail. The exhibit is located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, which makes it really convenient to visit. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to get in and out without any hassle. Definitely worth checking out if you're a Banksy fan or just enjoy street art.

I was fortunate to attend Banana Ball League game featuring the Savannah Bananas and Indianapolis Clowns. It was about 7 to 8 minute walk from the Ayres Hotel. So can't really comment on parking for this particular game. Although exiting the game as a pedestrian was a challenge. For the OG yelpers, think of the video game, Frogger. At the gate, it was nice to be greeted by friendly greeters in banana suits! There were several yellow tents in the front selling Savannah Bananas merch and other Banana Ball League items. Although the lines were long, they kept it moving. The hubby and I were seated up in the upper level. It was a combo of an escalator and stairs to get up there. There are the big screens or just watching the action directly on the field from the upper level. In the latter part of the game, we took a break and went downstairs to to get Angel dogs and a drink. Those hot dogs hit the spot. The drinks were in a large commerative Angels plastic cup. Lines of course are long but they did a great job of keeping them moving. The Savannah Bananas/Indianapolis Clowns (This Indy team has rich, pioneering history tracing back to the 1930s!) game was a good family-friendly experience at a nice ballpark. 4 stars.

Security was very friendly and the concession stand cashiers were friendly and awesome! Alot of them joked around with me since I was rooting for the dodgers, stating the were going to charge me extra for being a doyer fan. Lol. I really got a kick out of it. The ambiance here at this stadium is chill! Every Angel fan was respectful and friendly. It felt more of like a family vibe. The price of food and drinks is slightly cheaper then Dodger stadium. The parking is way cheaper too! The decor at this location was up to date and the parking is more organized then Dodger stadium. It took me 10 minutes to get out of the parking lot after the game. You will be waiting for Hours at the ravine. Overall, I recommend watching a game here. Some of the friendliest workers I have experienced at a sports venue! Nothing is worn out. Many food venues you can choose from. Great pyrotechnics! This place is chill! Non congested. Dodgers won made it only sweeter. Also I attended many school graduations here. No problem, I recommend attending any function at this stadium. A mile away from Disneyland. Plenty of surrounding restaurants and entertainment. Kudos to the entire staff!
