Probably the worst place to see a show. With the gymnasium and college feel everywhere, it makes it quite hard to get lost in the music of any band performing here. Sad thing is, I would probably be back, if a band I wanted to see was playing here. But hopefully I won't have to.

Came here for the Foster the People concert 9/27. As far as the venue, its basicly inside the basketball gym where the games take place. As far as for concert the gym/venue has a good spot wherever you sit since it was GA. You can either stand for hours or have a seat (which was more comfortable in my opinion). They also sell the basic food at the concessions stand (popcorn, soda, nachos, pretzels, chips, etc) If another of my favorite group performs here I would not mind coming again, especially since parking is FREE!

PSA - THIS IS A DRY VENUE. I think this information should be readily available. Otherwise, it was a perfectly fine venue.

RAISED BY WOLVES @ UTC LA JOLLA…read more Raised by Wolves is located inside UTC La Jolla, tucked away in the very back of the mall near the Din Tai Fung area. I would definitely recommend parking around Corner Bakery or near 24 Hour Fitness for the closest way in. This was my very first time going to Raised by Wolves. I made a reservation on OpenTable, and if you are reading this right now, I highly recommend booking one. When we got there, the wait was two hours for people without a reservation. I booked for 9 PM on a Saturday night with my friends after dinner. We actually arrived at UTC earlier than expected, so we let the host know and they let us in about 20 minutes early. As for parking, they do not validate here. Parking is free for the first hour and then two dollars per hour after that, so just be aware that you may end up paying for parking when you visit this bar. It is set up like a speakeasy, which is really cool. You get to see where the actual bar is hidden. We ended up ordering a bunch of cocktails and the drinks were super great. I really loved the vibe overall. It was lively and chatty, and the staff was super friendly. The ambiance is very dark and classy. Keep in mind they do not serve food here. It is purely drinks only. Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by.

The theater was nice enough, although our seating area could have used a good deep cleaning. There were crumbs and other leftover food noticeable. The waitress who took our order once seated seemed annoyed she had to climb to the top where we were sitting with obvious exacerbation over the task. In the two times she was there to take our orders I was displeased with the way we were treated, and some of the comments she made. I got the impression she was annoyed with the audience of children, which mad the experience substantially less enjoyable for me and my son. I will definitely not be going back to this theater and expected a lot more from La Jolla, especially when paying almost $50 for a matinee and over $100 on food. Definitely think this theater could take a renovation in their weekday staff and provide their customers with a more enjoyable movie dining experience. When someone doesn't enjoy their job it shows, and I saw this with several staff members there that day. Would not go back or recommend.
