After getting quotes from about five different pool companies. We decided to go with Lion Pools. They were one of the most reasonable priced for what we want and to spend. Lee and Tom were really great and easy to work with. They gave us a lot of advice about what would work for the pool we want and also listen to our ideas and suggestions. Other than rain delays and having to call once to see what was going to happen next with our pool, I believe the only problem we ran into is that our pool was going to be out of the ground higher than expected due to our land being not level, and the response we got from Lee is "we will make it work " and they did. Had to change the decking so the pool would look right and Lee and Tom made the changes without hesitation. Lee and Tom built us a beautiful pool for our family to enjoy!! After MONTHS of trying to get a pool company to call for an estimate we finally got a call from Lion Pools with an apology for the tardiness. Came out and was willing to do the remodel and so far it's been great. Obviously the rain has delayed much of the work but he always keeps us apprised of the work schedules. It's been great dealing with Lee and his crews. Tile starts next week ( stay away rain!). Very happy so far. read more

My first experience with this company was with a brand new tech who came to clean the pool but did not leave it clean. I requested a different tech. Most recently, one of their techs showed up unannounced in my back yard at 8am, and not on the regular pool cleaning day. This was startling, to say the least. My last service with this company was shortly thereafter, and was a repeat of my initial experience with them: a tech who took no pride in his work and left me with a substandard pool cleaning. When I sent a photo of his cleaning job to the company, they emailed me back saying the tech would return to clean it (that same day). I asked them to not resend him. My request was received by the company but the company chose to send him back anyway, in complete disregard of my instruction. Of course the pool was left no cleaner when the tech came again. Then I received a bill that reflected a rate hike I had never been informed would be taking place. Ultimately it was the lack of professionalism all the way around (tech with no work ethic who took no pride in his work, a lack of adequate communication, the company disregarding my instruction to not send back the same tech) that caused me to hire a new pool cleaning service instead of this one. read more

I read so many good things on lion pools but I'm so disappointed we had an appointment January 5 everything seemed to have gone well we were ready to get a quote he came to the house looked at our property but then never heard back. I called left a voicemail never got a call back. My husband wrote an email and all we were told was they all got COVID which I understand but now it's been about a month and nothing so maybe we dodged a bullet who knows so we're going to continue to keep looking. read more

I hired lion pools a year ago and we were mostly happy with the service but the past three months they have completely dropped the ball. We had the same guy for the longest time. They became inconsistent on when they would come for service and some weeks they would not show up at all. It was a different person everytime and some guys were much more knowledgeable than others. The pool sweep broke at some point and they didn't catch it and when I finally said something they said they would put a work order for the part, that was 2 months ago. There were weeks they never came and the owner stated that some months there are more days so it balances out... isn't the point to keep the pool clean. 1 week without service makes a difference. I also had to provide chlorine because apparently they were out which the owner did not believe. Why would I lie? My pool began looking cloudy with some algae along the steps. I had been in contact with Tracy the owner regarding service. I finally decided to look for someone else. The new person came for a quote but ended up servicing the pool. After having them come to service and seeing my pool look brand new I decided to cancel service with Lion Pools. Worst of all when I called to cancel service the owner was very rude, not apologetic at all and didn't seem to even care about losing a customer. I am still expected to pay for service even though they did not come. Good riddance to them. read more
