It came with the mac salad and a green salad as a side on my plate. I read another review here that said the mac salad was tasteless, but it was pretty on par with the mac salads I've had in Hawaii. The waitress also suggested an "all-purpose sauce" to go with the lechon and I really quite liked it! Preferred it to the default vinegar sauce that my dish came with. My boyfriend ordered one of their brunch dishes: the chicken and waffles. It came with ube butter! And you can actually taste the ube! The pancake itself was banana-based in taste. The chicken was perfectly fried, but my boyfriend said it was a little bit too salty. But I thought it was alright in saltiness. We also got a spam and tamago musubi to share. Glad to see musubi offered! It was freshly made and quite warm to the touch when it got to us. Yum! Overall, loved the decor here and happy with the variety of dishes offered! Have been missing Hawaiian foods since my Hawaii trip a few months back, and having more Filipino food options in Montreal are always welcomed!

TL;DR/The Short Version: Asian restaurant that caters to…read moreoffice workers in the area. Only open weekdays. I got the Bento Box and loved the variety. The Long Version: My husband and I came here for a late lunch on a Friday. We had just had a late breakfast on the train ride to Montreal, so my husband wasn't too hungry, but I really wanted to try Atelier Asie and they close at 3pm and aren't open on weekends, and our Montreal visits are mostly only on weekends, so we rarely have the chance to try it. And let's be honest, I can always eat, haha. Anyway, so he just got some appetizers, an order of vegetable spring rolls ($2.99 for 3) and an order of tempura shrimp ($4.99 for 4). I got the General Tao Chicken Bento Box ($13.49) because I love variety. My Bento Box came with General Tao Chicken on a bed of white rice with some cabbage, 2 vegetable spring rolls, 2 chicken dumpling, a salad, a few cubes of fried potatoes and a tiny portion of Japchae. I asked for no sesame seeds and they didn't sprinkle any on the chicken, but the Japchae was premixed with sesame seeds. I noticed this right away, so just gave the Japchae to my husband. The General Tao Chicken was delicious. It was crispy and the meat was lean chicken breast. The sauce was more sweet than tangy and was not spicy, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The rice was good and I liked the accompanying cabbage. The spring rolls were hot and crispy. They were mostly wrapper and the vegetables inside were a bit mushy but they were second fiddle to the chicken anyway, lol. The chicken dumplings were tasty. Lots of ground chicken inside. The fried potato cubes were a bit softer than I expected. I didn't love them, but they were ok. The salad was romaine lettuce and shredded carrots in a soy based dressing. Vegetables were fresh. My husband enjoyed his appetizers. The tempura shrimp were actually more torpedo shrimp. Oh, he also enjoyed the tiny portion of Japchae from my meal since it contained sesame seeds. I like that they have a self-service station with lemon water and tea, both from dispensers. There's seating to dine in with even a second floor, but the second floor was closed during our visit. Food is brought out in takeout containers though. Staff were pleasant. Decor is casual. Overall a great quick service restaurant with solid mainstream Asian food. Street parking only. They quickly explained the menu and took our order. We were, then, served some yummy green tea. It's a very nice atmosphere, they have acoustic pop music playing and the place isn't too over the top. It's perfect for a lunch or dinner date! Our food arrived promptly and it was delicious! The miso soup was nice however I really liked the green salad. I don't usually like dressings but I really liked this ginger vinaigrette. As for the sushi, it was very well done with fresh ingredients. My mom plays it safe and always goes for the California so I couldn't explore much but I liked everything we ordered and will be back to try their other choices! Aside from the food, kudos on a speedy service, cleanliness, beautiful serving dishes and super friendly customer service!

I also ordered the Grilled Pork Ramen, and it was savoury, but delicate. It wasn't swimming in fat or grease from the grilled meat. So it was perfect. The plating was very good, the food was layed out artistically, the dishes / bowls were also very nice. Id stop by if you'd like great sushi, but you might want to try the excellent ramen when it's cold outside this Fall.
