The server brought us our meal but this time it came with a bowl of fish soup! (Red Flag?) So we asked , Is this "The Lunch special? and she replied, Oh yes it comes with soup and entree and two sides! So we started thinking they had not been giving us our soups all this time???? So we finish our meal and our bill was higher than usual. So we asked up front why we were getting charged more? The Manager said Oh you must of ordered the "Combo"????? We said Nooooo we ordered the "Lunch Special" and the manager said why didn't you say something? And we said We did! After arguing with the manager blaming us for the mistake , I just said screw it I'll pay and you can take the tip out of the bill! Ok guys has anyone known about a "lunch special and a combo special? In my years of going there I never knew they had two choices! What a disgusting way to end a good meal! And the Dulce de Leche dessert was really good too, not too sweet or overpowering. For cocktails the Triple Crown and Run for the Roses were very refreshing. The staff were very friendly and attentive and though the restaurant was renovated they kept the classic look that makes the Tack Room. Reopening is tentatively for November 14th 2025. It's been years since I've gone to the Tack Room but the new menu and changes they've made are really worth the trip downtown.
