I recently moved to the Lehigh Valley and my fiancé and I still have not found Chinese food that we agree on. He like New China moon, I think they are sub par. I like Hunan Springs and he thinks they cost too much. So on our search we saw the rave reviews and we stopped here... I got my normal general's tofu and he got his normal sweet and sour chicken with wonton soup, egg roll, chicken fried rice and a side of hot oil. Mine was okay. Nothing special. I asked for extra spicy, but it was not spicy at all. The tofu was below average too. Only 2 pieces if broccoli (was fresh). His was just ehhh. The rice looked funny and he said it was awful. There was almost no chicken in it. The side if oil was very skimpy too. We won't be back. They were nice and speedy though. read more

The food was ready to be picked up in a matter of minutes, but that is really the only positive thing I can say about this restaurant. My szechuan tofu was rubbery, and the sauce both completely lacked the expected szechuan spiciness, and was way too sweet. It was, however, better than my steamed veggie dumplings. The dough was extremely thick and mushy, and it looked as if they had simply taken their egg roll filling of stringy cabbage and used as the dumplings' filling, as opposed to the finely chopped and flavorful filling of a typical Chinese dumpling. Honestly, I wasn't expecting this place to be extraordinary--all I wanted was decent, quick Chinese takeout--, but this was just not good. read more

Until our order tonight I woul have givin five stars. I have been saying for a while that I do not understand all the complaints. Tonight Feb. 13 I am now one of them. the only reason I gave three insteas of two is because we have been LONG time customers with no complaints. We called our order in about 6 PM: 2 orders of soup, sweet and sour shrimp, and lomain.They said 40 min. Then they called at 6:30 and left a message while our message was still playing. by the time we got to the phone they were hanging up. I assumed they were saying they would be a little later which would have been ok. When it got to be 7pm I called. they said they were out of seet and sour soup and wanted to know what we wanted instead.They said it would be there shortly. we later got another call from them somewhere around 7:30. she wanted to ask us to tell her again whatour entire order was. i was very unhappy but she promised it would be there soon. 8:10 PM PEOPLE. My friend and I decided we wanted Chinese for lunch so we called in an order for delivery. I was told on the phone that $18 was their delivery minimum (online said $12) I began my order and was told it'd be ready in 15 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes for our food my friend and I got restless and questioned if they were coming. I received a call from an unknown number telling me that they are here. After looking out many windows and walking around my deck I knew he was lost.. we were on the phone for ten minutes until I spotted him and had to yell like a banshee in order for him to see me (he was across the street) he told me the total was $26 asked him to repeat himself and he yelled $26 in my face.. at this point I was starved and wanted my food so I gave him his money and went inside only to discover that the amount was $19.25! After my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in Emmaus closed, I started checking out the others in the vicinity. Lin's Garden was close, convenient, and had pretty much comparable pricing to all the other Chinese places around. The reason for the one star and the statement, "I will never go there again, thanks, I'd rather starve." is this: I ordered chicken lo mein once. I was happily eating my dinner watching a movie. I got finished eating and took the leftovers to the kitchen. Something made me glance down into the carton, and literally the next bite I would have stabbed with my fork would have included this odd, misshapen dark...something. I picked it out, rinsed it under the tap, inspected it again. Pointy on one end? What the...? Flipped it over, and thaaaaaaaaat's when the first wave of nausea hit me. It was what appeared to be the lower tailbone portion of...some animal. My first reaction was the one people always joke about. However, after having a roasted chicken a week or so later and checking out the carcass, I realized that's what had been in my food. I was completely appalled, and turned off Chinese food entirely for about 3 months. I even put the evidence in a baggie and showed it to my friends the next day, who all suggested I take it back to the restaurant. For what? I asked. It's in a BAGGIE. The food went directly into the garbage after I found this thing. I have no proof it came from there. I'm even a little gaggy just typing this out and thinking about it again. The worst place ever for Chinese food. Please, anyone craving Chinese, drive the extra miles to anywhere but here. It was so bad, I actually felt sorry for the owner. The establishment is filthy and smells horrible of old greasy fried yuk. Two little, screaming, crying, unhappy children are in there, captive all day. Walking around and dismal. That is the first thing you see. An outdated menu with blacked out prices and flies above your head. I was scared but famished so I ordered what I thought was safe, veg fried rice. She took pre cooked rice sloughed it around to warm thru and added a teaspoon of frozen vegetables from a green giant box. No flavor, no soy sauce no nothing. I just wanted to pay and get out of there. The children staring out the window depressed me. I crossed the street and sat in the park to eat it. There is no where in the restaurant to eat. Just one table in the corner with crayons where the children sat. I took one bite and threw it out. It wasn't even salty and I couldn't even discern a flavor from the boxed vegetables. Beware of this establishment!! Can you say " cholera" ? Every time i have ordered food from this place I have had severe diarea and vomiting that lasts for days.They cook in flip flops and bare feet and often can be seen in the same clothes for a week straight . There is a reason that this restaraunt does not encourage dining in. They have alot of things to hide. Their lack of command of the english language ensures that your food will be a total mistery when you receive it if you have any special needs or requests! They do alot of their cooking from pots and pans they bring down from their apartment upstairs which is a total violation of the food health code. Their food drips of excessive grease and their meats and vegetables are delivered in non refrigerated trucks, often spoiled before they serve it to unsuspecting patrons. They are an angry family that can often be heard yelling at their suppliers, customers and each other.They are totally here for the quick buck and don't know a thing about customer satisfaction.
