I'm a sucker for some fried rice so I was really looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint. I would go again but I would choose simple chicken fried rice and call it a day. They bill themselves as "Asian" and have Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes at minimum on the menu. I had the green curry w pork. As other reviewers have mentioned, the curry is some of the best I've had in the area... aromatic, sweet, and super spicy on the back end. Lisa had the hibachi filet and it was equally delicious and a bargain at 10.95. Singler server there mad service a little slow but easily put in the back of mind with the value and food quality. So all in all I want to back badly and try their chicken pho as we must drive 20 minutes to get pho now (#FWP) and this place is a mile and a half from our home! read more

After motioning for them to come, they came grabbed only one menu and sat us. The waitress only asked him for his drink and appetizer then walked away. When she served me my food she served it to me with her thumb in the rice leaving an imprint. We had to get up to get our own refills, flag the waiter down several times, and when we asked to speak to a manager we were told that there wasn't a manager. Decided to give them another chance tonight when we called in a to go order. The man on the phone quickly told us that there would be a 40 min wait before he even knew what the order was. Tried to order Pho that is on the menu but was told, we don't have Pho... no excuse just simply, we are not having Pho ordered a different soup and found a plastic bag (cooked) in my soup. Again, no apology just the explanation that the noodles come in the bag before they put them into the soup... after the waiter told me he would take care of the soup, he "forgot " to take the soup off and after I pointed it out to him, he offered 15% off the entire bill instead, which would not even half the price of the soup lol. Fantastic place! You cannot beat the variety of Asian cuisines here - Chinese, Japanese, Thai are the principle ones. We had Pad Thai and Hibachi Chicken, along with Chicken Coconut Soup and Mushroom soup. The presentations were wonderful and all were ample and very tasty. We stopped by before a trip to Lowe's. We had General's chicken and Mongolian Beef. The Beef was pretty good. The chicken was bland and a bit over cooked. The service was prompt, but not overly friendly. We went on New Year's day so the Lunch prices did not apply "Weekends and holidays". The result of that was a lunch that cost $33 plus tip ($40) for 2 for essentially run of the mill Chinese food (one water, one tea) in a nice atmosphere. It is not a 2 because the place is nice and the service is decent. It is not a 4 because it is expensive for the quality. They do have very nice presentation, but adding a flower to a plate does not quite justify the price point. read more

This was our experience for our short visit on 12/18. After finishing our Christmas shopping we stopped in to get something to eat since we've been interested in trying a new place. We love Asian food and it's close to home. We arrived at 9:43, approx 20min to close and was greeted with a "I guess we can serve you...." that's when we walked out. Probably won't return either. I asked her, " Weren't these walnuts supposed to be glazed?" " Oh, I'm not sure, that's all we have" Well, your menu says glazed, not raw? " Oh" and she walks away. What restaurant serves an altered meal without asking the customer? Clearly they had walnuts, why not quickly glaze them? At these prices, I expect what I order. Been here for takeout and for a couple of drinks in the past. Food is ok but a little pricey. Went last week to just have a couple of drinks with my wife and ordered a bourbon drink in a tall glass with diet coke. I literally took two sips and gave it back because the soda was flat and just tasted like water with some bourbon. I was asked if I wanted another one but I decided not to and was ready for the check. I was actually charged $8 for a drink I didn't drink because it was awful. My wife questioned the charge and we were told because it had shots of liquor it basically did not matter if I drank it. Was it because I just didn't get another drink? I wonder... Recently discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant. I've been to the Lowe's in the same complex before but never noticed Lin's Asian Café. I initially expected a place similar to Joy of Tokyo; order at the counter and eventually get my food. To my surprise, Lin's is an actual fine dining establishment. We were seated quickly. Our visit was at 6PM on a Friday night. The place was not too busy. We ended up with steamed pork dumpling, egg drop soup, miso soup, Mongolian Beef, and General Tso's Chicken. The dumplings and soups were pretty good; just as expected. The General Tso's Chicken and Mongolian Beef were good and plentiful. I personally preferred the Mongolian Beef over the General Tso's Chicken but that's also like saying I prefer eating a banana to an orange; two completely different foods. All of the food came out in a timely fashion. The place had a pleasant décor. I mean, I can't ever say I've been offended by the décor of a restaurant. The location also had a bar area opposite the sit-down dining area. My experience here was much better than expected. I suggest everyone give this hidden gem a shot at least once in you have a hankering for Chinese food. read more

I got the Thai Red Curry to see how their Thai menu was and it was awful. The sauce was mediocre and the vegetables were near raw and seemed like they were jumped dumped in the sauce. Even the rice wasn't cooked so well. Maybe their Chinese and Japanese offerings are better but I won't be trying the Thai menu again. read more

This place is very close to my house. Because of the mixed reviews, I was hesitant to try it at first. However, time got away from me and I needed to get a place to eat late. The service was excellent and my food was piping hot and fresh to order. I went back a second time with for a different cuisine and the result was same. I have also had take out from them once as well. I've had no complaints about the food or the service. It is bright, it is clean and the service is exemplary. I have had Chinese, Japanese, and Thai there. I would recommend them to you. read more

I live in Greer and just a few blocks away from Lin's, so the convenience of the location is really nice (not a lot of quick options near Riverside). I've only had the pad Thai a few times (dining in and taking out). It's tasty but when I request for the entree to be spicy, it's always the same level of heat (that's not entirely terrible bc I just add spices at home). The presentation was really nice and the atmosphere is the place was trendy. The beef dish was very very good and vegetables that were served with it was excellent. Lin's is not new to the delivery scene yet the end product would indicate otherwise. Last night's order was, literally, crammed into one paper sack when two would have made our meal much more enjoyable. The last item packed was a small bowl of dip. Its lid came off and the rest of our food containers were covered with the sticky sauce necessitating the wiping off of said sauce from each item. Five minutes were wasted cleaning up a mess that should not have been caused by carelessness in the first place. Once the cleaning was done, we offloaded the meals onto warmed plates only to find crispy fish was soggy fish. However, the flavor was still wonderful and the fish did get eaten. The sogginess could have been avoided by venting the container prior to sacking. We are aware that when great food is eaten in a restaurant it's going to be much better than the same order delivered. Last night's meal quality was worse than usual only because the packaging was sloppy. As we've been eating at Lin's since they opened we won't abandon them over one incident but it shouldn't happen again and expect us to return any time soon. read more

Just tried tried for dinner last night. The food was flavorless. We ordered the house lomein, pad Thai, general Tao's chicken. Is was not the worst I've ever had but 2nd worst. If it wasn't so late I would have returned the food. I also spent half the night in the restroom as I think I might have had a touch of food poisoning. I would not recommend this place. Also prices are higher than a typical Chinese so I expected something a little more elevated. Pad Thai was not pad Thai. Just some overcooked noodles with a couple pieces of chicken. Two ingredients. Well we went there tonight on the 4th of July weekend and it was very quiet so we thought don't expect much. I ordered the same in which is always a brave move at an Asian restaurant. We got our food to go and had to run by CVS on the way home so when we ate the food it was not as hot as it would have been served fresh, but that didn't matter. The salmon was extremely generous portions and the mixed vegetables were outstanding and the dish actually contained asparagus which you don't see often. From the salmon, to the hot sour soup, to the stirred fried rice, it was all really really good! I eat salmon A LOT and this was really properly prepared salmon. Complements to the chef! We will actually go and eat there sit down next time. The interior was beautiful and the people were very polite. Give it a shot and they will earn your business. read more
