I visited the Mizner Park location with two friends and, from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. We were greeted with a cold and dismissive "Can I help you?" in a tone that immediately set the vibe, followed by being asked if we were just visiting, which felt unnecessary and off-putting.
The situation escalated in the dressing room and was honestly shocking. While trying on clothes, I briefly stepped out to show my friend a sweater I was considering purchasing. As I was re-entering the fitting room, the employee abruptly pushed her way between me and the curtain and entered the room I was still actively using.
She got directly in my face and began aggressively confronting me about a skirt I had just tried on that had fallen onto the floor. She referred to the items as "fine silks" and called me "disgusting" for having it on the ground. I honestly thought she was joking at first because of how extreme and out of line it was, but she did not let up and continued harassing me while I was completely in shock, and none of us who witnessed it knew how to respond in the moment.
While I was still inside the dressing room, she then began aggressively taking everything out of the room from around me and my belongings, removing the items I was going to purchase. The entire interaction felt invasive, inappropriate and humiliating.
A dressing room floor should be clean enough that, while you're actively trying things on, clothing briefly touching the ground is not treated as some kind of offense, especially not one that justifies being spoken to that way.
I live five minutes from Mizner Park and shop in these stores all the time, and I've always had great experiences with employees in the area. This was the first and last time I will be coming to this store.
Between the three of us, the store lost roughly $800 in sales due to this interaction alone. read more
