Yesterday I got there at 1pm and I got in line online. I got in the queue finally! I sat there for 30 minutes and they started to tell people coming in that they were no longer taking any more people and return on Tuesday. They are open on Monday. And they close at 5pm. I'm pretty sure our taxes goes to paying government employees. At 3pm, they finally called my number. It was a quick process from there. However they were having conversations in the open. A young man said, "what are we gong to do? Should we open it up?" The older larger women with short dark brown hair said, "no I live in San Antonio and I want to get home." The African American woman said, "no I want to get out of here before 5." It was 3pm and there were only two more people behind me. So as other people trickled in, they were forced to take them in. There were five employees standing around doing nothing as each citizen waits 2-5 hours! Taking time from their busy work life. And these lazy employees who receive a paycheck from our taxes, can't even do their job! I want the right to fire them. If I ran that department, I would fire these ladies and have the most efficient department making good use of tax payers money! I don't like to give these type of reviews no matter how unhappy I am with a business but this review was warranted. I was upset for other people being turned away and the five times I was turned away.

Now that I've once again moved (this time from Houston to SA), I decided I had to just get it over with. This office is currently operating by APPOINTMENT ONLY. I was able to easily schedule online back in March but the wait was a month long. Hopefully it's gotten better since then. When you arrive, you will submit to a screening (sanitize your hands, temperature taken & the guard asks a few simple questions like whether you have any symptoms or were exposed to someone with Covid recently). There are self check-in tablets available & then you'll have a seat until your number is called. I printed & filled out my application form at home & also used the online check in option that was provided in my appointment confirmation email.
