This cozy bookshop is tucked into the north corner (Studio #101) of the 910Arts complex. It is absolutely packed with books and, judging by the photos, the bookshelves have been expanding over the years.
The other feature of the store is owner, Laura Pawlik's, somewhat odd (whimsical? mysterious?) paintings, although the books are starting to crowd them out a bit.
There are very comfortable couches and chairs on which to rest and peruse the offerings. The Instagram page features canine employee, Dorothy, official greeter and cutie. I hope she is still around, asking for belly rubs and treats.
The store is a bit disorganized and the Web site is not very helpful. There is a catalog showing 8,227 items, but they all appear to be listed as out of stock. I don't see any information about Laura's art. However, if you're a booklover or an art enthusiast, the shop is certainly worth a visit. Most items are priced very reasonably. read more
