We were heading on our way to the Barossa Valley when we saw a "Vintage Wrap Party" here and decided to stop in. This family business is in its third generation and they were super friendly from the start.
The weather was sunny and warm making it the perfect setting for everyone to be out on the lawn enjoying live music, wine, and food. Since we didn't bring any glasses, we had to purchase them to drink our bottle of Rose and do the tastings. The chilled rose went very well with the mixed platter. I went with the seafood paella and regretted it because it wasn't very good. The rice didn't have a lot of flavor and I should had known that the seafood wouldn't blow me away. Nothing has ever beat the paella I had in Barcelona ten years ago! I think it was just for the day though.
They had several wines we could taste and let us decide what we would like to try after going through all the options. I tried orange wine for the first time which was a type of reisling. They had a granache which was really nice!
Great experience and great stop if you're looking for a place in South Barossa. read more
