I made an appointment today at 1 for 2:30 because they told me they closed at 3:30. I arrived at 2:10 pm and the office was closed. I sent texts and got an automated response. I called another number they have for general questions, not for appointments, and a woman told me they closed at 2:30 pm today. I told her I made an appointment at 2:30, arrived early, it was closed. I stopped doing other things to be there, and she just said, do you want an appointment for Thursday?" Of course not. You can't even speak with a representative on the phone. That system is terrible and very inconvenient. Now I'll look for another place to go that offers the same services, but be organized and take responsibility.

About a year ago, I was diagnosed with pustular rosacea by one of the best-reviewed doctors and estheticians in Orange County. I'm a sucker for spas, beauty treatments, and do my research. As a backstory, I have a plant-based diet, eat pretty clean, exercise, and for the life of me could not figure out why I developed the skin condition as I never had anything like it before. There were no new lifestyle changes, and I did a diet elimination as well as tried every topical serum, holistic Healthcare diet, and even naturalist procedures to try to cure it; nothing worked. At some point, I realized that the once beautiful skin that I had was long gone and I had to make the best of life with what I was given. For someone who had beautiful skin, and given the fact that I'm a teacher and children look at my face every day and they're so brutally honest, in a way, it felt entirely debilitating that a huge part of my identity and lifestyle practice that I advocated seemed to nullify. There seemed to be a sense of shame that I was promoting a diet that would result in health, but with a look at my face, it seemed contradictory. My mental health started to slowly wane down the tubes, and I was getting increasingly forlorn. In a side rant to Rachel, the owner, she suggested that I try some of their treatments which are not only mild, but slowly rehabilitating, but state of the line and only available at a few select salons in the country. It was costly, but no actually on the cheaper side in a lateral comparison of the same treatment from other spas, but in retrospect, it was well worth the money as it restored so much of my dignity, happiness, and a sense of who I was before all of this. I only wish I had just done this treatment sooner than before. for those of you that are mid-30s like me that have suddenly developed acne when you never had it, or if you're a teenager with acne, I suggest you to really give this place a try. They're not going to give you strong chemical treatments that will strip your face of all of its barriers, they're completely dry your skin, nor will they suggest a hormone treatment...instead, these treatments attempt to restore and bring forth the glow that is within. Renouvele did just that. As an Asian, pustular rosacea is extremely rare and as such, there are little to no studies that show efficacy. Everyone, I have searched every long-term peer-reviewed article, called so many estheticians, naturalists, and doctors, and even considered plastic surgery as I wanted to just rip off my face; as a last measure, I gave Renouvele a shot. You won't see results after one session, but gradually, the results are profound. If I can go from Orange County's best esthetician telling me that there is no cure and way to fix this, and to actually finding a cure, you can too.
