The game was on and the seat design faces the tv with rounded seats perfect for a date. The dinner menu was nice for my liking of options; the lamb chops were perfect and while the menu doesn't state clearly it comes with mashed potatoes & veggies which was perfect as I originally thought we had to order a la cart. He enjoyed the salmon meal. I loved that they offered tastes of their crab soup with a side of bread. It was my first time trying such a dish and it was delicious!!! I did find it interesting how every female waitress/hostess was the same shade of light-skin mixed with silky hair while the male hosts/servers/runners were of all looks. Lastly, if you'd like entertaining/worthy bottle service these ladies don't deliver. Lol it was the most pitiful sight to see--I feel bottle service should include high energy, body shaking rah rah enthusiasm. The bathroom was clean and smelled fresh which I appreciated. I'm not sure what was in the back & upstairs but they were loud upstairs for sure. When we left around 10pm there was a line wrapping the corner and they'd started removing tables inside. So, sounds like a cool place. Go, enjoy!

The Iwo Jima Memorial is directly opposite the Top of the Town building. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the Potomac River and have views of all the significant buildings in Washington, DC. The inside is spacious - we had 92 guests seated at ten tables, and there was plenty of space for the dance floor, drinks table, and dessert table. We also took advantage of the outside patio because we had great weather, and after sunset, many of us went outside to watch the full moon rise. Catering was provided by Genesis Delight Catering, a company that has experience serving food at TotT and knows the kitchens. The event staff at the TotT are experienced and friendly and will ensure that your event is the best it can be. We enthusiastically recommend this event space. Sheridan Dalier, the event coordinator at TotT, provided generous assistance before our event when we were in the planning stages. She was friendly, experienced, and very helpful. When we learned we could hire Sheridan to help us during our party to take care of the final set-up, last-minute fixes, and any surprises, we gave an enthusiastic "Yes, please." For example, she ensured the audio-visual system had the correct cord to show our slides. She kept track of the gifts we received. She handled questions and requests from our guests. As the evening's event coordinator, Sheridan's help was important, making a great evening even better! We enthusiastically recommend Sheridan Dalier's services as event coordinator.

Captain Matt not only gave us a great ride and was full of DC trivia we weren't familiar with even after 15 years of living in the DMV area - but also let my cousin do a little decorating for the occasion, and passengers can byo food and alcohol. We opted to cruise directly underneath the flight path for jets landing at DCA for a few exhilarating flyovers, then took in the Lincoln Memorial from the water. Want to play your own tunes? The hosts answered all our questions, we were able to connect to the speaker, and we got in a mini photo shoot on the dock during the halfway point pit stop. The ride was very peaceful but also lit when we wanted it to be! Other groups were waving from their boats, the monuments provided poppin' views/backdrops throughout the ride, and we didn't even actually haaaave to paddle the whole time! I would definitely get a group together and go out on the water with this company again! A lit DC summer experience!

This competition was a scavenger hunt where ten couples competed to win a $50,000 wedding. Taylor & Hov worked together to have their favorite vendors contribute their services. To our shock and surprise, WE WON! Following our win, Taylor & Hov designed and executed the perfect wedding for us. Not only did it provide us the opportunity to work with some of the best vendors in DC, but Taylor & Hov's creative talents far exceeded our expectations. When we first started our wedding planning, we had only a vague idea of what we wanted. Despite this, Sugar was able to create an event which really spoke to our personalities. We spoke to her about our mutual love of music, and she found a way to incorporate this into every aspect of the day, with programs made of records and place settings created out of cassette tapes. Moreover, during our highest stress moments, Sugar and Nar saved the day with their eagerness to help with both large and small details, from changing the venue at the last minute to putting together a signature cocktail that our guests still won't stop talking about. All in all, Taylor & Hov gave us a better wedding than we could have ever hoped for, and for that we are so grateful! Thanks Sugar and Nar!

They were also responsive via email for a question I had which I really appreciated. They sometimes have vegan whipped cream available but I asked for extra strawberries instead since I wanted it to feel a little healthier for breakfast. I liked that it came with a little bottle of maple syrup. I ended up keeping it for later because it was sweet and delicious enough for me without. They only have challah French toasts on weekends. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! And the black & whites - cakey with the perfect amount of frosting on each side. We split the big ones btw two of us. The smaller ones are nice for children and company so waste is less JUST in case someone is dieting! Cake Pops of course and sending them as a gift is such a great treat for the recipients and for the sender - it feels good to make others so happy. Challah - like the bagels, it's tough to wait to make French toast. We, even at the non-Jewish holidays, love dipping it in honey for dessert. Duffins - it's like having a healthier donut or a really nice muffin and OH MY .. I wish pumpkin were a year 'round offering. Watch for those (pumpkin duffins) in the Fall and when the Jewish high holidays occur: apple cake is so moist and delish and not "icky" sweet - just right. Round challah is always a treat and with raisins, is even yummier for French toast or just grabbing a hunk to eat. Fans? YOU BET! When Yael first opened we were so excited. To see how the offerings that began with cake pops have been so expanded and how creative they make everything is amazing from that little space with clearly dedicated bakers and decorators. A big treat for us is to have delivered lox (smoked salmon), cream cheese (it tastes better than the stuff in big groceries), bagels, and challah and maybe a sweet or two. They are so nice, Yael sets the tone for kindness and it is one of the best bakeries that also caters to gluten-free and nut-free customers. Go or have delivered. You'll be happier!
