I have been a clinical nurse specialist for a long time and have only been treated like this once before within the same practice/ Napa Valley Ortho/ back in 2019. I was going to give Huffman a try since he is a different type of specialist than the one I saw in 2019. However, even though Walnut Creek is more inconvenient than Napa, I'm very happy with Golden State Ortho. Kristin and the doctor are so accommodating-- stickers, toys, even taking the girls out for strolls or to blow bubbles! It truly is a family friendly environment in the highest sense of the term. Picture is of my girls playing beside the adjustment table. The doctor helped me continue to enjoy 30 min walks throughout my pregnancy, despite how big my twin belly became! (With my first pregnancy, I stopped being able to take walks at all towards the end of the second trimester). I continue to see her because she's effective and attentive. I've even recently started having my 3.5 year old see her for adjustments and to try and help with her constipation issues. I highly recommend De Wet Chiropractic! The bedside manner from the other doctors were undesireable but the nursing staff was alright. Dr Morgese herself was probably the best experience out of an overall experience, she once took a question I had and researched it, and called me back a month later for further exploration. My biggest complaint are the administrative/reception ladies. Since we dont like this office, we've decided to take our son back to his original pediatrician in San Francisco. I've called three times to have his records transferred witout luck. They required me to fill out a release for the records, and fax it back...I did it promptly. They never released the records. I called again and the woman at the reception took my number and never called me back. Today I called at 12:15 to hear a recording that they are at lunch from 12:30-1:30 daily and to leave a message. How can anyone think it's ok to take their kid to a place that runs like this? This is supposed to be the most recommended Pediatrician in Napa - hence the commute to SF for our original Pediatrician.
