I started seeing Dr. Goss probably 2019. I was diagnosed by her with Rheumatoid Arthritis ( Ankylosing Spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis. She put me on Cosenty (injections), monthly. See below what Cosentyx is used for. Cosentyx is prescribed to treat the following conditions in certain situations: plaque psoriasis in adults and some children. psoriatic arthritis in adults and some children ankylosing spondylitis in adults non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (which doesn't show up on X-rays) in adults enthesitis-related arthritis in certain children hidradenitis suppurativa in adults When Dr. Goss closed her business, I went to a different rheumatologist and what was found, was that I do not have anything that I was diagnosed with by Dr. Goss!! I've spent 5 years on a medication that was for an illness that I do not have. I will be contacting the medical board as well as my insurance company who paid for visits with her over a period of 4-5 years. Not sure why she closed her business, can only speculate, but for me and probably others, we are no longer taking incorrect medication and are no longer being treated for illnesses we do not have. I found the staff and doctor to be extremely rude! I am an almost 90 year old female and had to get a volunteer driver to go to the office from Sonoma. Upon arrival four (4) minutes late for an appointment (that I had waited 2 months for), a quite rude male staff person stated that I could/would not be serviced at all and proceeded to announce many many times - while gesturing with pointed finger - "you were late". Dr. Goss herself has been great, the office staff however us AWFUL. I was given wrong information confirming a medication twice, when calling in, could not get through to the Dr. To get confirmation medication was correct, for a treatment that we weren't expecting, I couldn't even get the staff to put a note for the Dr. That the patient was nervous and wanted to hear the therapy was what she should get. I was then hung up on. SCARY! it's an 8 hour at home infusion of a medication we know nothing about, and we don't even know if her Dr. Ordered it. Very poor service, but excellent stonewalling on the part of front end staff. read more

I was referred to Dr. Goss because I have a complex case of multiple autoimmune conditions. After a good initial appt, the care fell to pieces. Her staff is totally incompetent. Even when she is made aware of issues with scheduling, billing, and follow-up she turns a blind eye. It got so bad that after 6 months of my primary care doc having to intervene with failures to follow up on test results, failure to properly monitor new medications, and failure to respond to inquires she stated, "I can make up for a lot of incompetence. However, your health and safety are so compromised by Goss we need to find a new rheumatologist." So I did. And turned Goss into the licensing board for patient endangerment on the advice of other doctors. read more

If I had an option to give no stars I would My experience ! I called my pharmacy to renew my prescription 7 days in advance of running out, the pharmacy stated they needed to contact the doctor. Today I decided to call the doctors office, and my conversation with them was unbelievable! First they told me that they told the pharmacy that I would need to have a blood test and to make an appointment before renewing my prescription ! My question to them was why had I not been called directly from the doctor? I received no response to that question. So now my appointment is.45 days out and lab work! So I ask will they prescribe enough pills for my rheumatoid arthritis until my appointment the answer was NO!! Can you believe that!!! I need a doctor that is willing to give me the help and care with the communication I need to be not in pain! I'm in the process in finding a new Arthritis specialist! read more

Although Dr. Goss is very good at what she does she needs to hire an entire new office staff. Marco especially is a very unprofessional person that does not belong working with patients that have medical needs. He is very rude and disrespectful to people. I was told that I cannot accompany my minor child for appointments anymore because Marco got upset when I called him out on trying to charge me more for my co-pay than what it was. My son was not able to get his needed medication. Dr. Goss needs to really take a look at the staff that she has hired and do something about it. read more

Dr. Goss has helped me with my Systemic Lupus. Her office is 3 hours away but I gladly make the drive. She spends the time I need and never makes me feel rushed. She listed to all I have to say and makes sure I feel heard. So many Drs. make you wait and rush you, she never does this. She has done all the tests that were needed to helpe with my illness. My Mother came to see Dr Goss for an overview. She was having issues after battling an aggressive form of Breast Cancer and was ruling out autoimmune disease. Dr Goss met my Mom and after an office visit, told my Mom that she may have several things going on and that she needed to do a "full work up". That required over 15 vials of blood for various testing. It was so much blood work, that she had to be taking to a two day appt for fear of passing out for giving that much blood. A few weeks later, my Mom went in for her results. She was not given ANY RESULTS or a copy of Dr Goss findings. It was verablly told that she had plaque psoriasis (autoimmune disorder) and needed to take a drug that would cost $1500 a month for the prescription. My Mother was scared by the diagnosis as her brother had just died 4 mos earlier from autoimmune and now she was desperate to get this drug. I had to step in and intervene. I requested a copy of the records to verify. If she did need the drug, perhaps there was something else available as my Mom is on a limited income and can not afford that cost. As her power of attorney I requested a copy of her findings to be sent to Moms oncologist for review. I wanted to know if she was now autoimmune from her treatment and or if the oncologist agreed with these findings. A month later, we learned that her oncologist, as well as her primary physician, still has not gotten any paperwork, bloodwork or transcripts sharing these findings. I called and requested them again and was told she still hadn't gotten around to entering her patient notes. No apologies. No reasoning. Just didn't do it. Another month has gone by and we still don't have the notes. My Mother went in person last week and she was confronted by a desk clerk who told her that she could have a copy for a cost. Yes, we all know you can pay to copy your entire file....but you should NEVER PAY to have a specialist share your findings with your primary physician of care. THAT is erroneous to another level and the lack of concern for your senior patient in distress shows your unprofessional nature. Why are you always after high fees??? After speaking to another specialist at UCSF, they shared with us that Dr Goss has a bad reputation and that not working with her is the best advice. Boy oh boy did that turn out to be true. After worrying for months that my Moms Cancer had given her an autoimmune deficientcy we finally got a full copy of the blood work to her oncologist who calmed my Mother. After reading the blood panels, the oncologist affirmed she DOES NOT HAVE ANY AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE AT ALL. what Mom has per the bloodwork is arthritis and there are many prescribed meds that can assist her - all of which are covered by insurance and will not go over $20. I have found a more responsive and caring physician with better bedside manner for my Mom D.O. needs. I would not be comfortable with her sending over any of my family members to Dr Goss facility let alone recommend to someone else. A full copy of this complaint has been sent to the medical board for review. Her lack of care and follow up with a senior citizen is concerning and definitely needs to be reviewed by her peers. read more

I have been seeing Caitlin Hill, PA for SLE since November 2018. She takes the time to listen, ask detailed questions, physically examine issues and explain each test and medication risk, benefit and side effect. SLE is a constant struggle, but it has drastically improved with the treatment, support and advice I have received from Caitlin Hill, PA. The office staff has been friendly, helpful and has wonderful communication. I am seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time at every visit, I have also been seen through telemed and those appointments have worked very well. This place does not give a rip about patient care. Was told I would receive a referral, never received the referral and when called to inquire multiple times unable to talk to Dr. Goss or have someone give me the name of the referral. Takes 6 months to get appointment and if you are 5 minutes late, you are refused the visit. Billing is a nightmare. Chart was a mess, x-rays incorrect. The doctor: 5 stars. Dr. Goss is very reassuring and thoughtful in her approach. They were the only rheumatologist to start me on MTX, which did help my Lupus so much. For 6 months. They keep appointments on time (assuming patients do as well!). My treatment is now at a stand still and my condition has deteriorated. Of course it is complicated. Office staff: As my treatment has become more complicated, this professional patient (me) is incredibly frustrated with their office staff while trying to start a life-saving treatment so I can take my other life saving treatment. The staff have been great until now. While I was relieved and excited to begin treatment for constant, recurring infections due to MTX, and told it would take about 2 weeks, I am now being told 2 months. The staff should send out the correct pre-approval ON TIME and explain to the patient if there are changes in my treatment plan, but have failed to do this. Sparing you all the details, the receptionist continually puts me on hold until the system hangs up on me (daily) and "Maria" has not only hindered my treatment but has personally insulted me. Dr. Goss is terrific. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment at her practice. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis seven + years ago, and while it was a shock to me, I found Dr. Goss to be very compassionate and responsive to my questions and concerns and she fully reviewed the treatment options available to me. She reviewed the test results with me, and together we chose how to combat my arthritis. Then over the years when something quit working, we discussed a new treatment plan and tried something else. I am doing well. I like knowing what is happening with my health and I also want to be able to have a voice in my treatment selection. It is also helpful to have an idea of the financial ramifications of the treatments since my insurance will cover some fully, and others only partially. Excellent doctor and I trust her. Five stars for a skilled doctor that diagnosed me when all others thought i was a hypochondriac. I now have an answer and knoe what my chronic pain is caused by. She is an amazing doctor. September 6th 2016 was my very first appointment with Dr.Goss because my Doctor who was Dr.Abbass moved away. My appointment today was so eye opening! The very first doctor to ever have actual sympathy and who listened to what I had to say. She spent about an hour with me and she's also the very first doctor out of the 12 specialists I've seen within the last year that has taken an interest in my rare case and is doing everything she can to get to the bottom of it. I'm having several new tests coming up including a blood test for Crohn's Disease called Prometheus because of my unbearable pain I've been experiencing. She's also the very first doctor who has FINALLY mentioned I most likely have some sort of Dysautonomia and POTS Syndrome. So thankful I've found a doctor who's mentioned these things and didn't say it was all "In My Head" I still have a ways to go but things are looking good with this wonderful doctor! read more

I never actually saw Dr. Goss, I saw her Nurse practitioner Caitlin Hill who was discussing my results with Dr. Goss and got diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis after going in for something not related to back pain. My lymph nodes swell up every few weeks and I become very ill. Caitlin hill order X-rays of my back saying that back inflammation was probably causing my swollen lymph nodes. Despite my ANA coming back negative and the gene for ankylosing spondylitis coming back negative, Caitlin sat down with me at my follow up appointment with my X-rays in front of us and visibly showed the "spine fusion" I have. They then sent me off with humira shot samples and a prescription for humira. Since I work in the medical field, I new this was the incorrect diagnosis. I contacted the UCSF ankylosing spondylitis clinic and went to Stanford rheumatology with my scans. Both places said everything this office wrote on my chart was FALSE!! And guess what? After months of this I finally found out the problem is a disease in my bone marrow and my white blood cell count is low and has been drastically dropping over time. After talking to many other doctors and people I have learned that this office misdiagnosis people with psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis all the time. I had to file a complaint with the medical board!! Do NOT go to this office!!!! They could have killed me if I would have stayed on humira like they told me too!!! As soon as I emailed the doctor and asked for an explanation I got blocked out of my online health chart. I repeat do NOT go to this office! read more
