I had been to one place in SF (Richmond) before and had a really bad experience cause the lady wasn't used to working with Hard gel so it was lumpy, so I was hesitant to come here as well but it worked out really well! Greed over valuing your loyal customer! Heartbreaking & a sense of pure disappointment, that I will not be returning to this shop after a 1 year professional relationship. I liked them! I am sad to say, that I was not treated as a valued customer, when we had 1 situation where my nails popped off in less than 12 to 24 hrs & she did a very sloppy job on the 1st set! I had NEVER experienced this before recently. Now, when I informed Kris via text message, she told me to come in the next day. However, I had meetings & other business endeavors & could not make it in. So, I told her I would be in on Thursday, which means I would have to miss work because I work in World class environment, where my hands are my money, dealing with my customers/clients! Needless to say, 24hrs before then at my original appointment, she was running 1hr-45 mins late. I ended up having to cancel out a dinner appointment & grab something from a local eatery, which means I had to spend more money. She was so late & inconvenienced me, she gave me a discount of $75 instead of $90. I still tipped her $10. Fast forwarding 24 hrs later, I came back in on Thursday she put a fresh set on like any Profesional honest nail shop would do! The fill-in set was an old set from last year, that she should have noticed & replaced the 1st time. But, because she was running almost 2 hours late, she missed a lot of steps in doing my nails, in her words to me, she stated, "she was overwhelmed, forgot to file and glue, and check the nails properly". SO, THAT'S AN ADMISSION TO HER OWN MISTAKES OR MALPRACTICE! After doing the fresh set to the standards of my normal expectations of what she normally does for me & what I pay for! She tried to make a slick comment regarding she's not charging me for the designs, she's only charging me for the full set. I did not know what she was talking about, so I continued to grab my belongings & prepare to exit their shop. She then began to say things to me that I found to be rather offensive, such as: well any other customer would just pay me for my services & everything, because you know I have bills to pay! We all have bills to pay! I never asked her to reimburse me for missing my day of work! I asked her what she was talking about? Are you charging me & how much? That's when she sprung it on me & said, " I'm only going to charge you $75 for the full set!" I was shocked! I responded, "Kris, really? Wow, I just paid you $75 less than 24 hours ago plus the $10 tip, those nails popped off, & to your own admission, it was your negligence! Needless to say, while she was doing my nails, she was making gaslighting comments while working on my nails, that your life is so stressful, everyone's life is stressful. You are stressing & you popped off your own nails. No! I played along! I told her my nails were not burning while you're putting on the new gel set. My nails were healthy & and strong. I will enclose the pictures here for everyone to see. I did not realize that she was setting it up, so she could spring this extra $75 on me for her negligence. I was so angry but being the professional & respectable woman that I am, I decided to take the higher Road. I informed her I am not able to pay her right now because that's not in my budget & she never disclosed this to me in the beginning. The truth of the matter was, I was not about to allow her to scam me/beat me out of another 75 bucks when she didn't render Services right the first time. I liked her work so much & she was so cool that a few months ago when I got a pedicure done by Cindy who is her younger sister she had cut too deep into my right big toe during a pedicure, my big toe had swelled up so big,infected, was excruciating. I had to wrap it with Band-Aids Neosporin for an entire week. I had to work, walk in pain,& clean the pus & blood every day, when I got off. I never even went into full details with her, even though I sent her pictures the next day on how much it had swelled up. I don't know why I've never written a review for my regular nail salon! I've been going here for years. Even though it takes an hour to get here from my place by bus, I habitually go once a month. Everyone working there is very nice, easy to talk to, and they work with what you want. I can never decide what I want when I get there, but I'll show them pictures and they'll come up with the most beautiful nails. They keep up with trends, and they've taken my request to stock up on new things, too. But let's get to the point: their price range matches other salons, but unlike other salons, they have perfected painting nails. They have an incredible attention to detail, as the pictures clearly show. I always leave the salon smiling and staring at my nails. I have never once had a problem with them. PERFECT gel manicure, over 1 month later. I got my nails done for the first time a few weeks before the stay at home order, planning on returning the week it was issued. Obviously, that didn't happen, but my manicure is STILL perfect - grown out, but not chipped or lifting at all. I've never had a gel manicure that didn't start to peel or chip after a couple weeks. Not to mention the extremely kind, conversational employees. When non-essential businesses reopen, I will definitely be back and I would recommend them to anyone. The place is small and they don't offer the more "luxury" services (hand massage, paraffin wax, etc.) that massive salons do. There is a bathroom, even though it's tiny, which is honestly impressive for a small SF salon. Normally this would knock down a star but I think the actual manicure more than makes up for the aesthetics. Just be careful parking! Meticulous meter maids and steep hills make it a little hard, but there's always a spot or two. read more

They did a full acrylic set and they started coming off within 2-3 days. They were impossible to schedule a time to get them fixed. They made me come all the way from work to just to only fix them with crappy nail glue the first time which did nothing as they started coming off 24hrs later again. I'm a busy person so I don't need to be coming back so many times. I called on a Friday or Saturday to get this fixed and they said they wouldn't have time till Tuesday or Thursday cause they were so busy ? I demanded a refund and they refused and asked me "why are you treating us this way". Like excuse me? I'm the one who was wronged and who has a crappy set of nails on. So I called my credit card company and opened up a case and will now force them to refund me. My card company thankfully has issued me a refund. Don't ever come to this piece of shit place. Eh. You can get better service elsewhere. They're a little rough on your feet and hands and in a bad way- I looked over every 5 seconds while they were working on my hands to make sure I wasn't bleeding when they were Working on my cuticles and filing my nails down. Now... I must say... this is not a nail spa but I just don't feel like i want to Come back just for a manicure even. They did a good job on my toes (service included brush, scrub, massage, nail polish, and soak). I thought the younger lady was much better than the older lady! I think they did something wrong with my hands because my nails peeled off (regular manicure) in less than a week. They didn't chip. They just peeled off. I believe they soaked my hands either too long or they shouldn't have been soaked at all. The French tips I got were fine though- the lady did a good job with the lines and they looked great. I will not be returning... P.s. the place is really run down, the nail polish selection looks very used and weak and there's horrible air circulation (aka none). I was going to go to my usual salon but decided to check out Linda's because of all the pretty pictures and positive reviews (and also bc I'm a college student and the price range I saw and was told over the phone was amazing) So glad I chose to make an appointment here. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my wants for the nail design and art. They also encouraged me to bring in more complex designs next time I come in which is something I've been looking for in a nail salon for a LONG time. Called in afternoon and asked if I could come in at 130, Kris took me in. I came in with an Emergency nail fixing my old acrylics were lifting and my nail polish was coming off. I wanted to take off/soak off my old acrylics and get new but Kris recommended that I just get a fill, or well shave off my old and put new acrylic over with gel. ($35) Kris was very nice and very engaged in conversation, she recommended a nice round square shape and it was fitting for my nail length. I love this place because it's a very casual place. It's family owned and the mom and sisters run it. I always go to Bella, she know how I like my nails and does a great job at it. They are all very attentive, I've seen the other sisters take care of their customers. The lady that does the pedicure is a bit too aggressive for my taste and has made me bleed before. I try to stay away from getting a pedi here but love the nails. Also, be careful to not get a parking ticket and where you park. I called ahead of time to make an appointment as the Yelp website said they closed at 7. In reality, they close at 8. My appointment was for 6:30 PM. Although street parking took up a lot of my time, I still had to wait past the time of my appointment to get my nails done. Which I was okay with, since I wasn't in a rush. After maybe 20 minutes or so, I was sat and taken care of. Bella, I presume, is the name of the girl who took care of me did an excellent job. I asked for a french tip and this is literally the first time I'd ever been asked if I wanted a clear coat, a pinkish tint or a nuetral/natural color tint. On top of that, she asked me how thick/thin I wanted my tips and she happily showed me all the different kinds. Shen even took extra time to take out all of my ingrown nails -gross, I know. She even gave me a wonderful ass leg calf massage and foot massage while she was working down there and I swear, I could feel the relaxation building. As far as their location goes, parking is forever going to be hard. But in all honesty, I think it's worth the search and wait. They do a really good job and I appreciate them going out of their way and staying open a little later and not rushing just to get my nails exactly the way I want them. read more

Every person does great nails - I typically get my acrylics done by Chris. She kills it! I love my nails super skinny coffin, so the filing is painful but no pain no gain :) my nails have always been on point, no matter what shape or color I get. Okay but first of all that machine shaver thing that she used under my nail hurt like fuuuck. The person who did my nails was very quick but she seemed like she was tryna get over with it.
