I had used their online order process several times before without any issues, so I assumed the order had been accepted and their were no questions or concerns with the order. When I arrived to pick up the cheesecakes, I was told that the order could not be completed because they require five days' notice. However, I never received an email, text message, or phone call informing me that the order could not be fulfilled. In the past, I had received messages from them with questions about an order or notification when they were unable to complete one. The situation became even more disappointing when I asked to speak with a manager. I showed her that the online ordering page was unclear about the required advance notice and suggested adding specific information for customers ordering cheesecakes. I also explained that I had not received any notification about the issue and suggested sending customers a text message when an order cannot be fulfilled. Rather than acknowledging the communication problem or apologizing for the inconvenience, the manager placed the responsibility entirely on me, stating that I should have called to confirm the order. She also said that, because they are a small team of three, they do not have time to communicate with customers by phone or text. I understand that small businesses have staffing limitations, but the lack of communication and the manager's dismissive response were unacceptable. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, and after this experience, feel less likely to return despite their awesome pastries. (UPDATE: the following day I noticed they had updated their online order request to include "7 day notice requested for all orders". So, even though the manager/owner did not accept any accountability to to situation and acted completely unsympathetic to the outcome, she must have realized that they could do something on their side to keep this from happening again to someone else in the future).

Blythe was very responsive - like immediate responses - and made the whole process so easy, which I greatly appreciated since I had many other elements to line up prior to the day of the event. Blythe delivered the cupcakes in a variety of DELICIOUS and moist flavors (the carrot cake was out of this world and SO flavorful and "spicey" and was a favorite amongst the guests) and displayed them on a wrapped wooden board and secured each to the board with a little dab of icing to keep them in place. The display was EXACTLY like the inspiration photo, right down to the fondant stars! Though we had so many special touches as the Celebration of Life luncheon, I think the cupcake display was the client's favorite. Inside is very spacious but I thought the seats were not that spread out. Workers were nice at the time of my visit. Very casual place, good place for doing homework or even working remotely. They have wifi for their customers. I got their oat pistachio matcha latte and their spicy breakfast burrito. Both were good and something that I wouldn't mind having every now and then. I'll most likely be back again here to try out their other drinks and food on their menu!
